Washington State University Instructor Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Trump Supporter

We have been following the rise of political violence on the left, particularly on our campuses. Some of this violence has been committed by faculty and administrators, as was recently the case at the University of Wisconsin. A video shows Washington State University instructor and PhD student Patrick Mahoney allegedly assaulting engineering student Jay Sani for wearing a Trump-related hat.

Sani was shown wearing a “Take America Back” hat and police say that Mahoney took him down and then “said ‘F**k you or f**k off’ to Sani before walking away.” The police report identifies a second suspect as Gerald Hoffin in the attack.

The story appeared on KTTH and the incident was captured on video surveillance.

When the officer interviewed Mahoney later, the instructor appeared unapologetic for an attack on the “ol’ boy”:

“I asked Mahoney what happened tonight. Mahoney said that he saw ‘ol’ boy’ walking around. Mahoney did not name Sani by name but said ‘I’ve seen this guy, f**king, on campus before. I know he’s like f**king Right Wing dude. He’s got a f**king, like, Make America Great Again
hat.”

The Daily Evergreen reports that Mahoney, a WSU instructor and a PhD student in the School of Politics, Philosophy, and Public Affairs, has been suspended.

These attacks are being fueled by rage rhetoric on the left, including Democratic leaders insisting that democracy is about to come to an end and encouraging their followers to fight back. Former Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger just called on people to get ready to “take to the streets” because the political system is failing them. (This is the same Adam Kinzinger who previously denounced Trump and others for reckless rhetoric: “Look violent rhetoric is wrong, and has no place. But MAGA pretending they didn’t light this fire is gaslighting to the 100th power.”).

What this video shows is the license afforded by the rage, allowing people to do and say things that they would not ordinarily say or do. The justification from this instructor was that Sani had the audacity to walk around openly supporting President Trump on campus. He believed that he had leave to assault him for that political expression.

What is funny, if it were not so tragic, is that these individuals are attacking those with opposing political views in the name of “saving democracy.” According to a new survey from DailyMail.com/J.L., Trump won the popular vote and is currently at a record 56 percent in popularity.

One does not have to agree with those people or the poll to recognize that he was elected by over 70 million voters in the democratic process. Yet, this Washington State instructor believes that he has a license to attack anyone who is openly supporting the President.

One would expect that any teaching opportunities for Mahoney are quite limited, but many faculty members have espoused violent sentiments toward Republicans or conservatives. Some have been promoted or lionized for their positions.

Jonathan Turley is the Shapiro professor of public interest law at George Washington University and the author of “The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage.”

  1. Harvard has been inundated with new donations.
In the last 3 days they have received 4,000 new donations.
    Donations are coming in
    at about 88 per hour.
Most are less than $250, and are not from alumni.
The amount is not the point.
The point is that people support Harvard, not Trump.

    1. Idiots giving their money to an institution with a $53 billion endowment. Hahahahaha! Darwin award winners all.

    2. Oooooooooooh, 4,000 out of 340,000,000 people gave money to Harvard. Now that really proves a point. Hahahahahahahahah!

      1. Harvard donations are way down. Anonymous is full of cr-p. Virtually every time he opens his mouth, out comes a lie.

  2. Gary Shapley took over the role of acting commissioner earlier this week but is already on his way out after Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent complained to President Donald Trump that Shapley was installed without his knowledge, The New York Times first reported Friday.

You read that right. The Treasury Secretary did not know that a top position under him had been installed.
Read that one more time so it sinks in…
The Treasury Secretary did not know that a top position under him had been installed.

    Tariffs today, nope, their off
10% tariffs. Nope, make that 25%. O dear did I say 25%. Nope they’re off. Oopsie, put them back on, tariffs for everyone. Nope only china. Ooops, add Canada.

What kind of sh-t show is this administration running?

    1. #. Anon, you really hate the US. What is your bio?

Of all nations in a pitiful world the US gave opportunity to its citizens and lawful immigrants. Context matters, anon, and stop for a moment and compare your opportunity to those in truly pitiful nations. The entire world is pitiful and the US was a little less pitiful. Consider for a moment that providence so gifted you this placement.

  3. Just wondering, does anyone know if they ever serve beans at dinner for crewmen of American submarines?

Seems a poor choice but then, government.

  5. Jonathan: BREAKING UPDATE: Since my last comment USA Today has a story about the background of Phoenix Ikner, the shooter who killed 2 and wounded 6 others at Florida State. According to USA Today (4/17) Ikner “had a history of espousing radical ideas”. According to one student, Lucas Luzietti, who was a classmate Ikner, said “I got into arguments with him in class over how gross the things he said”. According to Luzietti “Ikner touted right wing conspiracy theories and hateful ideas. Among them was a theory that President Joe Biden illegally came into office, Rosa Parks was wrong and Black people were ruining the neighborhood”. Luzietti told USA today that people like Ikner should never be allowed to have guns.

So there you have it, Jon. Ikner is not a raging Dem or “leftist”. He is a young man taken in by right-wing conspiracy theories who apparently thinks guns are the way to deal with society’s problems. When you come up with someone on the “left” who has engaged in a massing shooting like that at Florida state get back to me and we will discuss it!

    1. Are you trying to confuse the conversation with facts? Please, we were all taught that a fact is something Donald J Trump says. If the Don says it, it’s true, if not, it never happened.

JT is on the DJT bandwagon. Obfuscate when you can, don’t talk about it if you can’t obfuscate.

    @BrendanCarrFCC

Comcast outlets spent days misleading the American public—implying that Abrego Garcia was merely a law abiding U.S. citizen, just a regular “Maryland man.” When the truth comes out, they ignore it. Comcast knows that federal law requires its licensed operations to serve the public interest. News distortion doesn’t cut it. Abrego Garcia came to America illegally from El Salvador, was validated as a member of the violent MS13 gang—a transnational criminal organization—and was denied bond by an immigration court for failure to show he would not pose a danger to others. Why does Comcast ignore these facts of obvious public interest?

  8. It was a beautiful service today for Good Friday. Held at 3 PM as is the usual custom, packed church, sanctuary was stripped down to remind us of the starkness of the moment. The priest, a diocesan official, delivered an appropriate sermon on the darkness in our society today. We all have our crosses, we carry our fears, our dark moments and pray God hears us. The priest’s message was: He does not abandon us, we need to be atuned to God’s presence in our lives, during the good and bad times. Then there was the ritual of the Catholic service, the beauty, the feeding of the senses and moving our spirit in just the right ways. It was magnificient.

Good Friday is a day also of turning off the news, no music or TV are allowed, at home we took a day off from work, spent time together and prepared for church as a family, along with fasting and abstaining from meat.

The news in the world could not be more grim. University faculty assaulting students b/c they’re political “adversaries”, US Federal District Judges have gone rogue, the black Dallas kid who stabbed to death a white kid at a school event had his friends pull a SWAT on the father of the deceased boy, a 20 year old young man messed up in the head due to a broken family history (no surprise) killed 2 people at FSU for no apparent reason, a Democrat Senator from Maryland met with Abrego Garcia in El Salvador and photos were taken of them sipping on drinks at a nice restaurant, Democrats received yet more bad news that their Gallup poll numbers continue to tank (25% approval), and even Joe Biden, desperately seeking revenue by soliciting speaking engagementst at $300K a pop, is being shut down by former Obama aides.

Life is chaotic. Evolution is messy. Pain is a given. Suffering is optional – to paraphrase Buddhism

You’re in the darkness only if you choose to do so. Death has been conquered.

    SECOND READING

From the Catecheses by St. John Chrysostom , bishop
    (Cat. 3, 13-19; SC 50, 174-177)

    The power of Christ’s blood

If we wish to understand the power of Christ’s blood, we should go back to the ancient account of its prefiguration in Egypt. Sacrifice a lamb without blemish, commanded Moses, and sprinkle its blood on your doors. If we were to ask him what he meant, and how the blood of an irrational beast could possibly save men endowed with reason, his answer would be that the saving power lies not in the blood itself but in the fact that it is a sign of the Lord’s blood. In those days, when the destroying angel saw the blood on the doors he did not dare to enter, so much less will the devil approach now when he sees, not that figurative blood on the doors, but the true blood on the lips of believers, the doors of the temple of Christ.

If you desire further proof of the power of this blood, remember where it came from, how it ran down from the cross, flowing from the Master’s side. The gospel records that when Christ was dead, but still hung on the cross, a soldier came and pierced his side with a lance and immediately there poured out water and blood. Now the water was a symbol of baptism and the blood of the holy eucharist. The soldier pierced the Lord’s side, he breached the wall of the sacred temple, and I have found the treasure and made it my own. So also with the lamb: the Jews sacrificed the victim and I have been saved by it.

There flowed from his side water and blood. Beloved, do not pass over this mystery without thought; it has yet another hidden meaning, which I will explain to you. I said that water and blood symbolized baptism and the holy eucharist. From these two sacraments the Church is born: from baptism, the cleansing water that gives rebirth and renewal through the Holy Spirit, and from the holy eucharist. Since the symbols of baptism and the eucharist flowed from his side, it was from his side that Christ fashioned the Church, as he had fashioned Eve from the side of Adam. Moses gives a hint of this when he tells the story of the first man and makes him exclaim: Bone from my bones and flesh from my flesh! As God then took a rib from Adam`s side to fashion a woman, so Christ has given us blood and water from his side to fashion the Church. God took the rib when Adam was in a deep sleep, and in the same way Christ gave us the blood and water after his own death.

Do you understand, then, how Christ has united his bride to himself and what food he gives us all to eat? By one and the same food we are both brought into being and nourished. As a woman nourishes her child with her own blood and milk, so does Christ unceasingly nourish with his own blood those to whom he himself has given life.

    1. There is no god.
Religious belief is no more than a security blanket for weak minded people who are afraid of the dark.

The idea that you must worship your imaginary friend in the sky, who allegedly loves you, or suffer eternal damnation, is nothing more than the mental illness known as sado-masochism.

    2. IMHO, if Jesus Christ were to return to the United States, he would be deported to a prison somewhere other than in the United States, DJT would hold a press conference while putting him on an airplane, all the trump supporters would cheer him on.

If you consider your self a Christian, I highly recommend you read what the Bible says a Christian should do.

      1. “To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.” – Saint Thomas Aquinas

  9. It will inevitably happen that one of these idiot woke stooges will decide to attack an assumed political enemy who happens to have a concealed carry permit. When that happens I wonder if there will be a Go Fund Me for the FAFO funeral?

  10. This is confusing. Apparent we are now not allowed to push or tackle fascists. What can we do to them? Can we give them lead poisoning? Acute lead poisoning? Snake venom poisoning? Puffer fish poisoning? Botox? Food poising? Something that looks like poisoning but is something different? Poison Ivy? Sumac? Hemlock? Radiation poisoning? Chemical toxins? And that is just the poisoning. So so confusing. 80 years ago we directed the entire might of the US to killing fascists, and now we can’t even push them down?

    1. Ss far as I’m concerned you can do whatever you want to the Antifa fascists. I’ll acquit if I’m on the jury🤣

    2. So true when it is said liberalism is a mental disorder. And you have that disease in spades.

  11. Phoenix Ikner, the shooter at Florida State University, was part of Charlie Kirk’s Turning Point chapter.

He regularly wore MAGA hats and clothing.

His social media postings clearly indicate he was a rabid Trump supporter.

He was also a member of a political club on campus, but he was kicked out for espousing white supremacist and far-right rhetoric.

Another classmate said Ikner was vocal in their federal politics class, promoting his disturbing views about black people, as well as far-right conspiracy theories, such as that former President Joe Biden was fraudulently elected.

He also said Rosa Parks was in the wrong, and Black people were ruining his neighborhood, according to fellow politics student Lucas Luzietti, who shared classes with him at Tallahassee Community College before they moved to FSU.

Turley has been prolific in his stories about the “age of rage” as manifest by minor assaults by liberals on conservatives.

Now we have a case of a MAGA extremist killing people on a college campus.

I eagerly await Turley’s exhaustive analysis of this incident as another in his long series of articles about the “age of rage” on college campuses.

Of course he will not touch this story with the proverbial barge pole, because it does not fit the agenda of his overlords at Fox and NY Post.

Turley’s silence, however, will speak volumes about his true agenda with his absurd stories.

    1. One thing about the FSU shooter not mentioned much is that he was on psychiatric drugs.

I have mentioned here before that the SSRIs have recognized risks for suicide and that they seem to have been used by many of the young shooters.

More than guns or politics these drugs seem to be major factors in mass shootings.

      1. Young

If this is true about the shooter taking psychiatric drugs, then it just reinforces the view that MAGA cultists are mentally ill.

The point I am trying to make is the following. Will Turley expound exhaustively on this episode of politically based violence on a campus in the “age of rage” that he is constantly whining about.

He is constantly writing about minor campus scuffles involving students and faculty perpetrated by liberals on conservatives. These are nothing more than trivial interactions that may rise to low level misdemeanors.

Here we have a right wing Trump supporter killing people.
Certainly much more of an example of violence than minor scuffles.

Do you think Turley will write about it????

I don’t know about you, but I am not holding my breath.
This episode does not fit his obvious agenda.

  12. There is nothing remaining on our modern left but madness. There are myriad reasons for this, generational and society-wide, but they are insane. Really. Full-on sack of hammers. These people are insane, and I do not know how we continue this way. ‘Classical liberals’; now is the time stand up and say, ‘No!’. Now or never. Publicly, forcefully, and without hesitation. Literally everything happening with the modern left is pure anathema to a free society. Do not expect people that have lived on their parents’ or the fed’s dime into their 40s to understand this. Doesn’t matter. We speak now or we speak nevermore. Find your spines, modern dems.

  13. Trump is such a pathetic loser. He insisted several times before the election he would end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours and it would be easy. He doubled down on it in the debate with Harris and said he would do it before taking office. So here we are almost 6 months after the election and three months after taking office and the orange fatass has zilch to show. What an utter moronic mess of an unethical, immoral, idiot Trump is.

    1. I am here to waste time while the biscotti is baking. You have truly helped me to succeed. You have helped me to reminisce about middle school and the names the less intelligent would throw out there in their feeble attempt to make themselves feel strong.

    2. I see you have the libs usual problem of staying on topic. What does your drivel have to do with assaulting people you disagree with?

      1. # . Probably the part junior high name calling? Sani should have stood up and punched him. Good brawl. No knives, no guns… maybe Sani was a small guy?

    3. To stop the war was President Trump’s stated goal, and an admirable one at that. What have you done to help with that? While thus far he hasn’t been successful at least he’s trying to stop the senseless killings and I hope he can make it happen. Meanwhile you should get off your high horse before someone knocks you off.

  14. Even before the SCOTUS gets the case, here’s what Trump wrote today: “President Donald Trump’s White House openly mocked Maryland Sen. Chris Van Hollen on Friday by annotating a headline about his Thursday meeting with Kilmar Abrego Garcia in El Salvador.

“Fixed it for you, New York Times,” the White House X account shared. “Oh, and by the way, Chris Van Hollen — he’s NOT coming back.””

Why doesn’t Turley write about the implications of the President of the United States announcing that he WILL NOT comply with a Court Order to return a man who was snatched off the street and deported to a foreign gulag without any due process, and who refuses to comply with a Court Order to return him?

    1. Why? Cuz Turley is a far right extremist who gives lip service to free speech but actually supports Trump’s mean spirited methods.

      1. Your effin hero biden/obama flooded the country with terrorists, murderers, rapists and gang bangers. Can’t get much more mean spirited than that.

    2. I do believe that this illegal thug is not a citizen of the US but is under the jurisdiction of his native country – El Salvdor – and they choose to keep their legal citizen. We have no power over that at all – Why can’t simpleton dms understand that? It is up to El Salvador, all we could do is send a plane and let it stand empty on the runway until El Salvador decides to send their own citizen to us…

    3. @Gigi

I actually *don’t* think you are a paid troll, you really are just this bored and unaccountable to anything or anyone. Spare us.

      1. “I actually *don’t* think you are a paid troll”

Because even a Soros-linked organization would probably not be stupid enough to actually pay money for the mindless drivel posted here under her name…

      2. Instead of attacking me, why don’t you comment about Trump’s announcement that he will NOT comply with a Court Order to return Garcia, because THAT was the point I raised?

    4. Illegals can be snatched off the street because….pay attention…they are in the country illegally. Perhaps you can tell me why none of these dems went to the foreign countries where AMERICANS were jailed. Why didn’t they go to Gaza to get the Americans being held hostage by hamas? You people are vile beyond belief.

      1. #. Good point on Americans held hostage in Gaza. Too dangerous for van hollen. Needs police protection …

      2. YOU pay attention: The US Constitution applies to ALL PERSONS, and gives them the right to due process. The SCOTUS said so.

    5. If you knew how to read then you would have read the gang banger had due process in 2019. He wasn’t just snatched off the street. He had pending removal orders from a court already. Google it and if Google is being honest it will tell you about it.

      1. #. I actually do have a question. If Garcia knew he was here illegally in 2019 and subject to deportation to anywhere except El salvador, why didn’t he leave on his own to another nation of choice?

  15. Jonathan: So two students at WSU get into an altercation. Mahoney grabs the MAGA hat from Jan Sani and throw it to the ground. Sani responds with physical violence and two get into a fight. No one was apparently injured. Mahoney is arrested and has been suspended from school. That should be the end of the story. But you want to make a big deal out it by claiming this one incident stands for the proposition that “these attacks are being fueled by rage rhetoric on the left, including Democratic leaders insisting that democracy is about to come to an end and encouraging their followers to fight back”.

Let’s be clear. Mahoney was wrong in grabbing the MAGA hat from Sani and he will suffer the consequences of his unlawful acts. But to extrapolate and claim Mahoney’s actions were the result of calls by the Democrats and the “left” to “fight back” is ludicrous! To “take to the streets” doesn’t mean engaging in violence. It means PEACEFUL protest. We saw that on April 5th when millions marched and rallied across the country in telling DJT “Hands Off” our Democracy. And all those protests were entirely PEACEFUL. No one was arrest in all the 1400 different protests. This puts the lie to your claim that “rage rhetoric on the left” is fueling violence!

Now if you want to talk about violence what about what happened last Thursday at the Florida State Univ. campus! A 20 yr. old shooter killed 2 and wounded 6 others. He is the son of a Leon County sheriff deputy. The weapon recovered at the scene belonged to the shooter’s mother. So now we have another mass shooting under DJT’s watch. When asked about the incident at a WH presser what was DJT’s response? Did he express any sympathy for the victims? Nope. He simply reiterated his support for the 2nd amendment. For DJT people who get killed and wounded in a mass shooting are just “collateral damage”.

No, DJT is the one who endorses rage violence. On Jan. 6, 2021 he told his followers to “take to the streets”, to attack the Capitol and stop the certification of the electoral college vote. Capitol police officers were attacked and injured. Some died. DJT rewarded that violence by pardoning all 1500 of his followers. Can’t put that on the Dems or the “left”!

    1. @Dennis

You might as well have cut and pasted your nonsense, or cut to the chase and said, ‘Waah!’. You are an emotional and intellectual child, dude.

    2. gee I seem to remember your lib pals sending swat teams to grab people who either were never in Washington on J6 or were not violent in any way or caused any damage. BTW the thugs you are supported ganged up on one guy who didn’t to a GD thing to them. Get some help for your TDS.

    3. Dennis, perhaps you should unplug all your devices, have a nice dinner, go on a walk, have a nice glass of wine and read a book. This “doom scrolling” on echo chamber sources has caused the President of the United States to reside 24/7 in your brain rent free. We are only 88 days into the 47th President’s term. There are still 1373 days to go.

Deep breath. Camping is therapeutic. Made a nice campfire and roast marshmallows Just saying….

    4. Dennis – aparently you did not watch the video.

Two people did not get into an altercation – Two people repeatedly assaulted a 3rd who defended himself.

Is the right of self defense completely alien to you ?

Ripping someone’s hat off intentionally is assault.
Beating on them when they attempt to retrieve it is violent assault.

    5. Dennis – I will atleast partly agree with you.

I have a problem with Turley’s fixation on “rage rhetoric”. ‘

While “rage rhetoric” is real and is a far more significant problem on the left, it is still free speech, unless it actually meets the very difficult to meet standards for unprotected speech.

Turley is WRONG to blame acts of violence on the political speech of others.
That is false whether it is Trump or Schumer you are seeking to blame.

Individuals are responsible for their own acts. ‘

The problem with the left is NOT “rage rhetoric” – it is moral failure.
It is not “rage rhetoric” that resulted in Luigi assassinated a healthcare CEO.
The real problem is evident from he fact that such large numbers on the left think Luigi is a hero not a criminal. That is not a failure of rhetoric, that is a moral failure – not just on Luigi’s part, but on all those who try to justify Luigi’s conduct.

There are occasions in which violence is justified. but those are rare. Sani’s response to being assaulted is self defense – which is violence that is justified.
The declaration of independence is literally the justification to the world of the political violence of the american colonies.

But the vast majority of violence is NOT justified.

      Assassinating people is not justified.
      assaulting people is not justified.
      Destroying property is not justified.
      Arson is not justified.

The problem is not “rage rhetoric”.
It is that so many on the left do not think that self defense is justified, but murdering health insurance CEO’s is.

Individuals are responsible for their own actions.
But to the extent that we can blame groups in society – it is not “rage rhetoric” that requires condemnations – it is ideological moral failure.

      1. John Say,
Well said. Ideological moral failure … that describes the modern Democrat party very well.

    1. Sen. Van Hollen has undertaken to usurp the power and conduct the duties of the executive branch as acts of insurrection, subversion, and treason, for which he must be impeached and convicted.

  16. This may be example of history repeating itself of just a few hundred years ago, where a group of disgruntled French men became inextricable and despotic in their determination to seize the power of government. Ruthlessly intimidating and wantonly killing those of a different political belief. Robespierre and Danton may have reincarnated into the insane leftists occupying the Democratic Party.

  17. I am done with the wringing of hands phase of dealing with the hypocrisy of the Left. Two years ago we on the Right were being held in contempt for our “incendiary rhetoric” and now we see the Left legitimizing the most horrific language as patriotic and necessary. It’s time to take the Left up on its offer to take it to the streets. Let’s do it. Once and for all we can settle the leadership contest. You bring your soy boy army and we’ll bring our pipe fitters and welders and farmers. After the dust settles, we promise you that you will be treated fairly.

    1. “…offer to take it to the streets. Let’s do it.” Got your asses handed to you between 1861-65. Would be the same now. There are far more lefties, democrats, independents and disenfranchised conservatives than there are Trumptards.

      1. You slave owning Democrats lost the Civil War and by no small amount. There are a few unhinged leftists. There are moderate and tradition Democrats who want you and other unhinged leftists off their side and out of their party. Us Independents are more aligned with MAGA than you unhinged leftists. Conservatives are also more aligned with MAGA than the far leftists agenda. Conservatives know what a woman is, they know biological males should not be in womens sports, or locker rooms. They know pornography should not be in elementary school libraries. Just as in the Civil War, it is you who would get your asses handed to you.

  18. Another MAGA media pathetic piece. Turley points to ONE incident in which a person who was triggered by a MAGAt wearing a hat saying “Take America Back”, as allegedly emblematic of all of those opposed to Trump-which is MOST of us according to polls. When you count up the number of people who have taken to the streets to protest Trump and his effort to establish an oligarchy by taking from the poor and middle class and awarding the wealthy, the number is in the millions, but there were NO incidents at any of these anti-Trump rallies that are taking place literally daily across America. But, Turley’s trying to sell a book premised upon the notion that there is an “age of rage” in this country and that “the Left” is just as guilty of political violence as the Trump fans who engaged in the insurrection. The facts just don’t bear that out, but rather, expose Turley for the partisan hack he is for even trying to make this lame argument.

These axxholes KNOW they are triggering people and that’s the point–they go out of their way to do so–not because they have a point–but because this is how their exalted leader behaves. If there’s any group engaging in “rage” it’s MAGAts. And, why shouldn’t patriotic Americans be very upset by Trump? He lied to get into office, which an increasing number of Americans are realizing. He sold the right to dismantle governmental agencies at the whim of his largest campaign contributor. Because of the disruption of USAID, people have died of stadrvation and an AIDs treatment program abruptly ended, which will lead to even more deaths. Americans don’t want this. He disrespects the Constitution, the rule of law and the Courts. He abuses the Constitutional rights of migrants, and when he was ordered to return Abrego Garcia, refused to do so. His stupid “AG” keeps fighting with courts–why? Because Trump’s ego won’t allow him to take orders from anyone, including Courts. MAGA media attacks judges who issue rulings Trump doesn’t like, as well as their families. There will be an eventual showdown between Trump and the SCOTUS. No other President has ever acted this way. And, it’s all because of Trump’s narcissism and no other reason. He was wrong to have Garcia and the other men deported without due process. He is wrong to fight the Court Orders to return him. He is wrong to keep paying El Salvador to keep them imprisoned instead of returning them for hearings. There is NO defense to thise behavior. And Bondi is required by the Rules of Professional Conduct for Prosecuting Attorneys “to do justice”–not defend the ego of a sociopathic narcissist. The Courts have decreed what “justice” is–to return Garcia and the others and provide them with a chance to defend themselves. Refusing to do this violates her oath to protect and defend the Constitution. She should be brought up on disciplinary charges.

If America needs to be “taken back”, it’s from Trump. America was founded on the fundamental principle that the Article II Executive is NOT a king. That all 3 branches of government are bound by the Constitution, and that the Courts are the final authority on Constitutionality of laws and Executive Orders. The President is supposed to respect the authority of the Courts to determine the Constitutionality of his actions and when Courts rule against him, he is supposed to comply. If Turley wants to use his platform and expertise to do some good, this is what he should write about. But, he won’t because he’s MAGA media.

    1. But, he won’t because he’s MAGA media.

And that’s just so sad 😭 I am crying 😢 and crying 😢 and crying 😢 because he’s MAGA media and that is just the saddest thing in the world and now there is a large bowl filled with my tears 😭

    2. TO GIgi the snake-mouthed person who comes here everyday to put down Turley and others—
When you call people MAGATS (intentionally imitating the word maggots), fat pigs, hogs, bottle blondies, and other such compliments, you show us that you are an angry little nobody who was either shunned by someone you liked, or lost a lover to a blonde. Democrats and leftists are no richer with you among them, you just personify the worst of them.

      1. Trump IS an obese person who has referred to himself as a “perfect physical specimen”. He lies about his height and weight. He calls women “fat pigs”. And, if you’ve noticed, EVERY female in his family has bleached hair–EVERY ONE OF THEM–Ivanka, Tiffany, Lara, Vanessa! Melania lightens her hair, but not the cheap, porn actress fake blonde shade with black roots that the others sport. His AG and “press secretary” are fake blondes, too. That phony blonde hair has become, for me at least, a symbol of Trumpism and is offensive by extension. Bondi and the “press secretary” also wear the cross of Jesus–heavily jeweled, of course–while they lie to us. They are archtypical phonies. According to Dr. Joyce Brothers, the attraction of men to fake blonde hair appeals to latent pedophilia because only very young children naturally have that very light shade of blond hair. And, for many, if not most of them, it detracts from their appearances because it is unnatural, it brings out the sallow tones of their naturally brunette complexion, and in Bondi’s case, makes the dark circles under her eyes more obvious.

    3. Gigi,
There are numerous instances every day. There are even a few where the right targets the left.
Both sides are guilty of political violence.
At the same time TODAY – and historically political violence in the US comes predominantly from the left.

But yes, Turely generally only focuses on ONE at a time.
