It Appears that Mass Deportations of the Elderly Are Not Being Considered

With all of the coverage yesterday of the heated arguments in Mahmoud v. Taylor, one order of the Court was likely overlooked. It appears that elderly Americans will not be deported as Alien Elderly Americans. At the request of the A.A.R.P., the Court agreed to change the name of A.A.R.P. v. Trump to W.M.M. v. Trump

The case is a pending class action lawsuit seeking the protection of alleged Venezuelan gang members facing deportation under the Alien Enemies Act.

The original captioning was a pseudonym used by one of the parties. That did not go over well with the organization.

“Unsurprisingly, this litigation has already received attention from the press and social media. It will surely continue to do so. AARP is concerned that the nomenclature adopted by the caption of this case will create substantial confusion among journalists and the public. Indeed, in the 72 hours since the litigation was filed, it has already resulted in numerous misplaced inquiries to AARP. Both the ACLU and AARP are prominent advocacy organizations on federal policies, albeit in very different domains.”

While many retirees are moving to El Salvador and other countries in the area, the original captioning suggested a more involuntary relocation. With a court composed of AARP-qualified members (Barrett and Jackson are in their 50s but still can join), the Supreme Court decided to remove any question that this was a case about deportations under some mysterious Alien Elderly Act (AEA):

The AARP, a nonprofit entirely unrelated to this case, seek leave to intervene to request that the petitioner A.A.R.P.’s pseudonym be changed to A.R.P. and that the case caption be styled as W.M.M., et al. v. Donald J. Trump, et. al. The petitioners and the respondents do not oppose the AARP’s motion….

The Court construes the motion to intervene as an agreement by the existing parties to amend the styling of the case caption. Accordingly, the Court amends its prior order granting the motion to proceed under pseudonyms and orders that the petitioners are permitted to proceed under the pseudonyms A.R.P., W.M.M., and F.G.M. [not to be confused with FGM -EV]. In addition, the Court orders that this case will hereafter proceed under the case caption W.M.M., et al. v. Donald J. Trump, et. al.

The change should come as a relief given the claims on the left that Trump is planning to “disappear” journalists, homosexuals, and members of Congress. Just last week, MSNBC host Symone Sanders-Townsend declared, “To be very clear, it’s going to be the people of color, and vulnerable communities that are next in line.”

That apparently will not include the elderly, including the justices themselves who will be allowed to remain to rule in what is now W.M.M. v. Trump. However, Women Moving Millions (WMM) may not want to make any long-term plans.

    Indeed, Professor Turley! To quote your fellow lawyer, now District Court Judge James Wesley Hendrix, gifted with black robes that conferred transitional Executive Branch Judicial Powers on the District Courts Judicial Branch:

    So Professor Turley: any words of comment to explain how a District Court can first agree with Democrats that criminal Illegal Alien members of a terrorist designated foreign murderous crime cartel are actually members in good standing of the A.A.R.P. as their lawyers lied to him in his court that they were?

    (BTW, an organization of which I’m a dues paying member and never heard our organization was offering sanctuary and assistance obtaining American citizen benefits to murderous foreign criminal Illegal Aliens)?

    And then having agreed that these few appellants are in fact members of our organization, then ruled that they were actually a class action lawsuit requiring him to provide relief aka sanctuary?

    And no more from his lips about the Democrat lawyers who committed perjury in his court room to his face, than Judge Boasberg said or did after allowing Obama to send his Attorney Generals and FBI Directors into his FISA courtrooms to turn them into the original Democrat Political Courtroom Perjury Factories?

    Followed by, after learning perjury had been committed to his face in claiming they had membership in an identifiable group (the A.A.R.P.), decided that didn’t change a thing: just change the title of the action and nothing else changed. So the still anonymous criminal Illegal Aliens, outed as liars to his court as claimed membership in an identifiable group, the A.A.R.P., STILL constitute a group that qualifies him to call this a class action lawsuit.

    Seriously? Are ALL criminals in the USA, Illegal Alien or not, considered to be a class action group when one or two of them show up in court seeking sanctuary from law enforcement action and sanctions, actually a group qualifying for and requiring nationwide sanctuary from District Judges?

    How does that work, Professor Turley?

    So why wouldn’t any of their Guest Democrat Voters i.e. Illegal Aliens that can be designated as “elderly” be also exempt from prosecution?

FACT CHECK: The “Court”, i.e., the Supreme Court is not yet involved in WMM v. Trump. This case is not on the docket of the “Court”. The change in the title of the case was made by James Wesley Hendrix, US District Court Judge for the Northern District of Texas in Abilene who presides over the case–not the Supreme Court. Haste makes waste!

It’s like reverse-Mao: in other countries the modern left has almost openly declared that the elderly are to be disposed of like garbage; there is nothing resembling sanity or shame remaining on the modern left, and is often stated, we do not hate our media enough. it was always preposterous, but fear mongering is quite literally all they’ve got now, I mean, that’s it – and I point to the comments here from trolls as evidence.   14. While this story is amusing, this issue is not. I sure wish the professor would pen a few words about the rushed Friday night ruling which, as Justice Alito pointed out in his dissent, had some very unusual elements if not in the majority opinion itself, in the circumstances in which it was released, namely:

    – The sheer speed at which it happened- 8 hours, quite a departure from SCOTUS’ normal snail’s turtle’s pace.
    – Before the two lower courts had acted.
    – In the absence of government rebuttal to the ACLU’s “emergency appeal.”
    – The treatment of this group as a ‘class’ when no such thing had been established.
    – In ignorance of the government’s written assurance that no deportations would occur while the ‘appeal’ worked its way through.
    – That TRO’s are supposedly not ‘appealable.’
    – That SCOTUS thwarted its own established procedure.

If you live in or near any major city in the U.S., you could certainly demand relocation due to “fear of gang violence.” And if you own a MAGA hat or drive a Tesla, you could likewise request relocation due to “fear of political persecution.” Since foreigners are allowed to game our lax asylum laws, it’s high time that American taxpayers are afforded the same benefits.
