Many people are calling out former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for a posting supporting American Federation of Teachers (AFT) chief Randi Weingarten’s new book in which she paints her political opponents as “fascists.” The timing was flagged as, at best, tone deaf in the wake of the assassination of Charlie Kirk by a shooter who wrote fascist references on his bullets and was clearly radicalized by such rage rhetoric. For me, the timing was most notable in how Weingarten and Clinton are again pushing their extreme rhetoric as a new report emerged showing the utter failure of our schools to actually educate our children. Weingarten and Clinton cannot be bothered by the long-standing declines in education. They are returning to the three Rs: Republicans, Rage, and Recrimination.
Weingarten is “credited” with turning the teacher’s union into an extension of the Democratic Party, often appearing at political rallies with her signature high-volume screeds:
Clinton pushed the use of education to paint opponents as fascists: “Congratulations to my friend [Weingarten] on ‘Why Fascists Fear Teachers.’ From banning books to controlling curriculum, authoritarians go after public education because it’s a cornerstone of democracy.”
Schools have become the cornerstone of a political strategy as opposed to actual education. As Weingarten and Clinton were pushing the fascism attacks, a new study showed just how badly teacher’s unions and administrators have failed our students.
While Weingarten and other unions have poured millions into democratic and liberal campaigns, they have done little to improve education for millions of students.
High school students, especially 12th graders, hit record lows this year, according to a new report from the National Assessment of Education Progress.
The new report, known as the Nation’s Report Card, shows almost half of high school seniors are now testing below basic levels in math and reading, and approximately 35% are at or above a proficient reading level, while 32% of them had a below “basic” reading proficiency.
In math, only about 22% of 12th graders are performing at or above proficiency standards.
A review of eighth graders and their science ability found 31% of them were performing at proficient or above proficient standards.
However, it is time to again attack your opponents as fascists in the name of education.

I always felt that the reason why people consider fascism as being right-wing is because of academics in the world of academia during the late 1960s and early 70s. The late naval aviator and U.S. Sen. John McCain’s experiences as a POW at the “Hanoi Hilton” in the Vietnam War are well-known, but many aren’t aware of the other times McCain nearly died during his time in service.
The Original “Maverick”: Crash in Corpus Christi
In his early aviator days, McCain was known for his aggressive hot-dogging as a pilot, not unlike Tom Cruise’s “Maverick” in “Top Gun.” On March 12, 1960, the 23-year-old lieutenant was playing it fast and loose during a training mission in his AD-6 Skyraider. He was practicing a landing when he crashed into Corpus Christi Bay, shearing the skin off his plane’s wings.
In his autobiography, McCain claims that “the engine quit while I was practicing landings,” but a Navy investigation board saw it differently, stating that he used “a power setting too low to maintain level flight in a turn.” Talk about writing checks your body can’t cash — but that didn’t prevent McCain from having a good time shortly afterward, as he explains in his autobiography: “I took a few painkillers and hit the sack to rest my aching back for a few hours. … I was out carousing, injured back and all, later that evening.”
A Shocking Close Call
Just more than a year later in December 1961, McCain was in a Skyraider once again, this time during a training mission over southern Spain, when he flew into electrical wires, causing a local blackout.
It was reported that when he returned to the carrier USS Intrepid, 10 feet of power line trailed from his plane, along with a severed oil line, but he managed to land safely. Still, one can imagine the disaster that might have occurred if the collision played out slightly differently. Some still talk about the day as the time McCain “turned the lights out in Spain.”
Christmas Crash in the Chesapeake
On Nov. 28, 1965, McCain was flying back to his family in Meridian, Mississippi, from the Army-Navy game in Philadelphia, with Christmas presents for the family stashed on the plane. Over Chesapeake Bay, his engine failed, and he was forced to bail out. Biographer Robert Timberg described the scene: “‘I’ve got a flame-out,'” he radioed. He went through the standard relight procedures three times. At one thousand feet, he ejected, landing on the deserted beach moments before the plane slammed into a clump of trees. … The Navy classified it as a ‘routine ejection.'”
After a naval investigation, it was determined that the plane had failed due to an “undetermined component of the engine.” McCain had escaped death’s clutches once more, even though his Christmas presents had burned up in the crash.
The Forrestal Disaster
It’s known as one of the most tragic days in modern Navy history, and McCain was at the heart of it. On July 29, 1967, now-Lt. Cdr. McCain was flying bombing missions over North Vietnam from the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal. He was sitting in his A-4 Skyhawk, loaded with two 1,000-pound bombs, waiting for his turn to launch, when a Zuni missile was accidentally fired from another aircraft and struck either McCain’s plane or the one next to him (evidence to this day is unclear on this point).
As McCain himself described it in a 1967 statement: “I heard a loud explosion and immediate fire all around the airplane … Smoke and flame were around the cockpit so I unstrapped … and unplugged my oxygen hose, keeping my visor down. I looked to the aft of the airplane and saw nothing but flame and I could see burning fuel in front and around the airplane, but it did not look too bad to the forward. I opened the canopy and walked out on the refueling probe and jumped from the end of it, landing just on the edge of the fire and rolled clear.”
As it turns out, McCain barely escaped incineration, as the first bomb on his plane “cooked off” and exploded seconds after he escaped. The resulting explosions and fire killed 134 sailors. The Forrestal was put out of action for two years, and three months later, McCain’s jet would be shot down over North Vietnam, resulting in his incarceration in the “Hanoi Hilton” for more than five years.

The thing that is so sad is that while people like Randy Weingarten, Joy Reid and Rachel Maddow have long called Trump Hitler and a fascist they really seem to fail history. I think we need a remedial history class for Democratic leaders. There were protests against Hitler for events such as the invasion of Czechoslovakia. The leaders of that were tried for treason and executed in about 2 months. The reality is each of those 3 would have been dead long ago if Trump were Hitler. Further, Hitler was a high control socialist whose government structure mirrored much of the structure of the Bolsheviks. 5 year plans, price fixing boards, production boards setting production quotas. Hitler himself said in speeches that Marxism and National Socialism are basically the same. The differences were that some private property was allowed to exist and unlike the Bolsheviks Hitler did not take babies away from couples to have them raised entirely by the state. (a policy that was eventually discontinued)
Another difference – reflected in the word Nazi (national socialist) – is that the socialism espoused by Hitler was only for the nation of Germany. People were told to sacrifice themselves for the greater good of Germany, rather than for the greater good of the worldwide worker class. Civil rights were entirely foreign to both the USSR and Nazi Germany because such rights are diametrically opposed to socialism, whether national or international.
A student of history would know that Nazism was not a socialist system, especially after 1934. Nazis rejected fundamental principles of socialism.
To say that Hitler understood the value of language would be an enormous understatement. Propaganda played a significant role in his rise to power. To that end, he paid lip service to the tenets suggested by a name like National Socialist German Workers’ Party, but his primary—indeed, sole—focus was on achieving power whatever the cost and advancing his racist, anti-Semitic agenda. After the failure of the Beer Hall Putsch, in November 1923, Hitler became convinced that he needed to utilize the teetering democratic structures of the Weimar government to attain his goals.
Over the following years the brothers Otto and Gregor Strasser did much to grow the party by tying Hitler’s racist nationalism to socialist rhetoric that appealed to the suffering lower middle classes. In doing so, the Strassers also succeeded in expanding the Nazi reach beyond its traditional Bavarian base. By the late 1920s, however, with the German economy in free fall, Hitler had enlisted support from wealthy industrialists who sought to pursue avowedly anti-socialist policies. Otto Strasser soon recognized that the Nazis were neither a party of socialists nor a party of workers, and in 1930 he broke away to form the anti-capitalist Schwarze Front (Black Front). Gregor remained the head of the left wing of the Nazi Party, but the lot for the ideological soul of the party had been cast.
Hitler allied himself with leaders of German conservative and nationalist movements, and in January 1933 German President Paul von Hindenburg appointed him chancellor. Hitler’s Third Reich had been born, and it was entirely fascist in character. Within two months Hitler achieved full dictatorial power through the Enabling Act. In April 1933 communists, socialists, democrats, and Jews were purged from the German civil service, and trade unions were outlawed the following month. That July Hitler banned all political parties other than his own, and prominent members of the German Communist Party and the Social Democratic Party were arrested and imprisoned in concentration camps. Lest there be any remaining questions about the political character of the Nazi revolution, Hitler ordered the murder of Gregor Strasser, an act that was carried out on June 30, 1934, during the Night of the Long Knives. Any remaining traces of socialist thought in the Nazi Party had been extinguished.

As I mentioned earlier, I think of it this way. The path to communism ended before the completion of the impossible. No government disappeared, leaving a totalitarian government. The conversion to no private property stopped leaving some private property in the hands of citizens, but the private use of it was constrained and dictated by the state. Within HOURS of Kimmels remarks Nextar and Sinclair had told Disney that Kimmels show would not be carried by their networks the next day if he did not apologize.

There is nothing Trump is doing that prior presidents – including Obama and Biden did not do.
At the most he is doing so on a larger scale that is all.
Current ICE deportations are running slightly less than double those of Obama.
What is actually different is almost no illegal immigrants are getting into the US.
So net illegal immigration under Trump is negative while under Obama is was positive and under Biden it was gargantuanly positive

I would further note – that BEFORE Trump SCOTUS and US law required minimal due process – little more than establishing you are in the US illegally, and that you are the person you are alleged to be. This should not ne in the slightest surprising.
Due process requirements vary with the rights being infringed upon, and the seriousness of the offense. You get very little due process for a parking ticket. While a capital death penalty case requires the greatest due process as a life is being taken.
Being sent home, does NOT entitle you to much due process – there is no right being violated.

ERica Kirk has the oportunity for a Massive lawsuit against Kimmel and ABC and Disney – as well as many others that Kimmel defamed.
