Democrats Fight to Keep the Insurrection Myth Alive in the New J6 Committee

  1. the comments section on this website is an embarrassment. Truly toxic. Eugene Volokh’s “Volokh Conspiracy” is much more palatable.

    1. Your previous history of brilliant posts to contribute here (previous to this scholarly entry), is all the recommendation you need to recommend your value as another voluntary member.

You have a personal blog you’d care to link to so we can see how you deal with a comments section?

    1. “With a father like Jamie Raskin, it is not surprising his son committed suicide.”

It’s too damned bad the son didn’t do us all a favor by indulging himself in patricide first…

          1. Mikey is having a Karen Moment because the false flag war canoe he borrowed from Princess Elizabeth Warren didn’t wipe out his Internet history. Claiming to be an impartial conservative/libertarian independent who honors the Second Amendment is not going the way he planned.

Mikey does have a failed blog similar to that of our occasional visiter enigmainblack to return to Ask him – he’ll post the link again.

I think his last entry was… November of last year, wasn’t it Mikey????

        1. Michael, guess what? I don’t disagree with you. At the very least, everyone should take a name and an individual icon, so at the very least their personas have to stand up to what they say. The comments made were inappropriate, but that is what happens when a blog permits crowds of anonymous people to be merged under one name and a generic icon.

        2. When it comes to postings by anonymous, I skip over them and don’t waste my time with them.

          1. Some of us occasionally give you the benefit of the doubt and read your one and two liners thinking they might contribute something. Sadly however, most of them turn out to be a (short) waste of time.

  2. Happy story of the day: Hegseth signs off on wounded US troops keeping bullets, shrapnel removed from their bodies after Maduro raid

Typical infantry Death Techs. One of my buddies has a plate from his battle rattle up on his mancave wall with the two AK rounds sticking halfway out where he took them center of mass at Ashley Babbit range from a hajji Arab terrorist. One second before he got his muzzle up and 5.56 triple-tapped the Hajji into room temperature in Paradise.

The troops have been doing this forever – probably leading all the way back to the Revolutionary War. But back then they didn’t have to ask for government approval for their souvenirs.

It’s not like the Castro’s Cuban secret internal affairs communist bodyguard scum who fired those bullets have any further claim on ownership.

  3. Where are all the documents from the first J6 inquiry, that are illegal.to destroy?

Another dog and pony show for TDS suffering Democratic voters before the mid-terms. Hey Democrats how about doing some actual lawmaking and passing some bills to benefit the CITIZENS of the US, not the Democratic party or illegals?

  4. Screaming Anti-ICE Rioter FAFOs After Assaulting Florida Trooper During Immigration Enforcement

Another Democrat Street Terrorist/Patriot sacrifices herself to the Democrat Cause of protecting their criminal Illegal Aliens by assaulting ICE officers. But this is Governor DeSantis’s Florida, not Minnesota under the combat veteran governor, Command Sergeant Major ‘Tampon Tim’ Walz. Enormous difference.

In Florida, FAFO is real thing despite Democrat street thugs thinking they have Biden-like immunity. I wouldn’t have imagined that hefty heifer could do the kickin’ chicken like that after riding the lightening bolt after getting her blubbery ass tased in answer to her assault. She sounded like a sow in heat with those expectant gutteral grunts after they stopped tasing her.

    1. Governor Walz has put the MN NG on alert. If he deploys them in opposition to federal agents, the NG is bound by their oaths to stand down, as their first responsibility is to the Constitution and the Commander-in-Chief. If the NG obeys Walz, that IS insurrection.

      1. Should the Minnesota national guard disobey an illegal order like the democrats asked the rest of our military to do?

        1. No, if ordered to deploy they should. It is near certain that withing minutes of Walz calling up the NG Trump will federalize them.
Walz’s threat is idle he can nto act without empowering Trump.

      2. If Walz deploys the NG Trump will be able to federalize it without invoking the insurrection act.

Walz has himself trapped between a rock and a hardplace.

After flaming it, he no longer controls the violence in MN

The worse it gets the more he faces the problem that either he must act or Trump will,
and that if he acts – Trump is then able to act too.

        1. You nailed it John.
Notice how all of a sudden Walz is asking everyone to calm down.
He and that crazy Mayor created this monster and they can’t control it.

  5. Washington Post’s journalist, Hannah Natanson, the WaPoo’s designated primary co-conspirator with the DNC in building the fictional and felonious “Trump-Russia Dossier”, and after that, the “J6 Insurrection” just lost another one of their federal bureaucrat Deep State felons. A Hispanic martyr, Aurelio Luis Perez-Lugones, indicted in service to the Marxist Democrat cause.

Pentagon leaker— indicted days before raid on WaPo reporter Hannah Natanson’s home— to remain jailed
    https://nypost.com/2026/01/15/us-news/pentagon-leaker-arrested-before-raid-on-wapo-reporter-to-remain-jailed/

First Amendment protections don’t shield anyone who claims to be a journalist from felony charges when they take an active part in obtaining classified information. Particularly through bribes and inducements offered to government employees to agree to become “whistleblowers..

I wonder if Aurelio Luis Perez-Lugones would fink out the Washington Post and Natanson for offering him bribes to “leak” if Pam Bondi offered him an amnesty deal as the alternative of spending years in a federal prison? A prison sentence where he would leave as a convicted felon? One with an ass you could do a U-turn in while riding a Harley after the Black Nationalist boys made him their cutest boy on the cell block?

Well, probably not, they could do the same with The First Felon Bagman Kid now that he no longer has Fifth Amendment protections to shield him from being subpoenaed to testify.

But still… Natanson and this indicted felon from her stable: The Inspector General’s three reports resulting from his investigation of the fictional and felonious “Trump-Russia Dossier” found that 37 FBI agents and lawyers involved in the Obama/Comey ‘Operation Crossfire Hurricane’ accepted bribes from The Washington Post, The New York Times, etc.

To be fair, just as the same IG chose to call perjury while under oath from the FBI’s Comey and McCabe on down to be termed “a lack of credibility”. in the case of these 37 FBI agents and lawyers, he called those bribes “accepting gratuities”.

A gratuity… no different than an expensive cup of coffee in a Washington DC elite coffee shop.

I don’t see any logic in offering a “whistleblower” a pair of tickets at center ice for an NHL Washington Capitols hockey game as being a gratuity like a cup of coffee. That “gratuity” will cost you over $700 if you buy them yourself to see that hockey game.

Trump and/or the Republicans could have been running to investigate the findings regarding those FBI agents and lawyers that accepted bribes long before this.

But they didn’t then, and I doubt they’ll run very hard with this repeat performance by the Washington Post and New York Times right now.

    1. Those who work in Government should not be accepting even a Cup of coffee with purportedly no strings attached from those outside of government.

      1. As I recall, one may accept a memento up to the value of $25… of course, now that Fairfax has slapped a 4% tax on “prepared foods,” even a cup of coffee is edging close to that limit.

          1. I was not commenting on what the law is – but what it should be.

There’s a book written by a university criminologist professor who used that expound that ivory tower academic theory – until he accepted a challenge from police officers in his classes to sign up, take the training, then go out on patrol with them and show them how a real professional does it to the perfection standard. The result was a book he wrote titled “Code Zero” – an academic theorist’s report on reality handing him a FAFO.

The law, the officers of the law, the citizenry they live within and serve – all of them should be perfect in the eyes of the academic theorists.

Except just like the laws they apply and enforce (or don’t while using discretion), none of them are. Police in particular are the only 24/7 social service we have, and those they deal with as potential victims, victims, potential perpetrators and perpetrators as their clients also are not perfect.

As a simple example… explain to an owner of a diner in a rough part of town that he shouldn’t give that cop and her partner a cup of coffee “on the house” and a comfortable booth to sit in while they write up their notes from the last few calls.

Explain to him that, whether or not he feels a little bit safer if the street creatures spending their last few hours cruising see those two cops sitting in his dinner, he’s still corrupting perfection in law enforcement.

Finally, tell that cop and her partner that the owner of that diner chatting with them while they have their coffee can’t possibly divulge anything useful to them about what he sees and hears in his diner and through the windows while there 10 – 12 hours a day regarding law enforcement or crime prevention.

Nuance: there’s an enormous universe of difference between a “journalist” giving a cop, a judge, a prosecutor a pair of tickets on the Washington Capitols centerline for an NHL game to have them commit crimes and leak, and a cop getting a cup of coffee or offered a burger while driving past a neighborhood BBQ.

Including the fact the person that got the tickets didn’t have any useful interaction with anybody around them who bought similar tickets.

        1. You men the Billions he made on Crypto or on Truth Social and Rumble ?

Do you people THINK before you write ?
Trump lots net worth as president in his first term.

Please provide evidence that $5 dollars was funnelled back to Trump vs the $5M for the big guy.
Or the hundred of Millions Hillary has gotten from Russian Oligarchs ?

          1. Money was laundered to Trump through crypto and truth social. Trump makes hundreds of millions every year by forcing the Secret Service to stay at Mar-a-lago at inflated prices when they would typically be on a $100-$200 per diem for travel expenses.

        2. Yeah, look at the Billions of dollars funneled to Democrat politicians through NGO’s and the billions of tax dollars stolen and laundered by USAID. Let’s not forget about Actblue too, laundering billions of dark Soros money to people like Democrat Senator (shipman 1st class🤣)Mark Kelley.

    2. While the constitution does NOT protect the press in the way that reporters think,
The protection should be greater than the courts have generally allowed.
But it does not Extend to precluding charges against a reporter for paying for information that can not legally be acquired or posessed.

  6. Those who claim to be terrified that trump is an authoritarian Nazi who would jail those who oppose home use vague and sweeping powers should not be embracing vague and sweeping powers to go after trump and his supporters

There was no insurrection on j6 2021
There is no insurrection in Portland an Minneapolis now

Sedition has always been a tool to punish political enemies

There is more sedition in Minneapolis amd Portland now as there was at the capitol on J6

Do not make stupid claims you do not want biting you in the ass

  7. Democrats can’t get enough of changing the subject away from what really matters to Americans.

  8. Just a few questions: do Democrat schools officially teach their kids foul language? Do they actually include the spelling and pronunciation of f-bombs and compound f-bombs in grammar class? Was Samuel L. Jackson ever a high-school English teacher?

Another question: if the Democrats founded this Country, would the Declaration of Independence be on a restroom wall? Would Nancy’s phone number be her signature? Is that where the Marquis de Sade got her phone number?

Would we even have a country? It begs the question.

  9. OT

China and Russia have their communist tentacles all over Central and South America, the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, etc.

Let’s give ’em Greenland for good measure.

Sure why not, the EU gave ’em Ukraine.

      1. “Chicoms been silently moving in on America for years.”

That process has been silent only to the willfully deaf…

    1. Sure why not, the EU gave ’em Ukraine.

The EU weren’t involved in convincing Ukraine to surrender every single one of those 3,300 strategic and tactical nukes that we were pissing our Washington DC pants that Ukraine might fire one at Russia as revenge for the Holdimor – while selling others to Iran, North Korea, hajji terrorists for tens of billions of dollars each.

We had first a Republican and then Democrat president giving Ukraine promises that Ukraine decided were worth more than keeping and then selling some of those nukes.

Nor did an representative of the EU sign their name to those promises made on behalf of their country.

Certain that Putin would have invaded either time if those nukes were still in Ukraine’s hands, aimed at his office in Moscow?

All of that was America and America’s presidents – first during the promises and the surrender deal, and then during Putin’s invasions years later.

Not the EU. Us, the USA.

      1. In the moment of truth, February 24, 2022, the EU failed to stand in the breach and gave ’em Ukraine.

        1. In the moment of truth, February 24, 2022, the EU failed to stand in the breach and gave ’em Ukraine.

The time to stand in the breach was before the first Putin invasion. Because most of the member nations of the EU stood with Ukraine beside us in our war in Afghanistan after we were attacked on 9/11, they also have a duty to take our place by standing in the breach when our presidents won’t? Seriously?

They aren’t the ones whose leaders made promises valuable enough that they convinced Ukraine to surrender those 3,300 nukes we were so terrified they would sell to Iran, North Korea, Syria, etc.

The EU is supposed to be our excuse? We’re supposed to be the real tough guys and moral force, blaming the EU and claiming they have to take our place.

  10. Turley: you know better. We all saw and heard what happened. We all saw and heard the Big Lie that was the impetus for the insurrection, and it WAS an insurrection because the intent of the event was to stop the peaceful transfer of power and award the Presidency to someone who lost and who the majority of voters did not want and did not vote for. We all saw the evidence that the Proud Boys did a pre-insurrection reconnaissance mission, witnessed and testified to by a British journalist who was embedded with them, and how they plotted how to break past Capitol Police by creating a distraction at one point, leaving another point vulnerable. They brought along bear spray and used flag poles and stolen police shields to beat and batter police offices. Some of them DID have guns. There were pre-insurrection planning meetings at the Willard Hotel. Pence was pressured to refuse to accept the election results, and the Secret Service was pressured to try to get Pence to leave the Capitol, but he wouldn’t budge. Fake electors were lined up and signed false Electoral College documents claiming Trump won when he didn’t. Trump tried to get Secretaries of State to “find” votes for him that he did not receive. He did everything possible to try to cast doubt on the election results, hoping to prevent certification, so as to throw the question of how each state’s electors should vote to state legislatures—but it was all based on nothing–no proof, no evidence. Polls predicted Trump would lose, so it wasn’t some unexpected result. The country was in chaos, with COVID out of control, restaurants, businesses and schools shut down, people out of work, no leisure travel, new daily records of COVID deaths and infections. Americans were fed up with Trump.

Trump sicced his syncophants on to the Capitol and onto Pence. They brought along a makeshift gallows. They had a cache of weapons in a hotel room across the Potomac. Despite pleas of his staff and family, Trump only called off the violence and property damage, after more than 3 hours, when it was clear that Pence couldn’t be persuaded to leave the Capitol until after he had fulfilled his Constitutional duty. One of Trump’s supporters challenged the police officer who told her not to proceed through a broken side light window into the Speaker’s Lobby, and she was shot dead. The plot failed, as did over 60 lawsuits, dismissed for lack of evidence. Also failed were multiple audits, recounts and all kinds of accusations of fake ballots, dead people and illegals voting, people voting mulitple times–claims which didn’t pan out because there wasn’t any evidence to support any of these things this being widespread or that any isolated irregularity could have affected the election results. This was NOT a riot–it was a planned, coordinated effort to overturn the results of a free and fair election after Trump lost. Merriam Webster contains this definition of “insurrection”: “an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government”. J6 was not a riot. Trump has done everything in his power to defy reality over the fact that he lost in 2020–not just only hiring syncophants who are election deniers, but getting the Smithsonian to take down the description of his presidency, his loss in 2020 and the insurrection. It’s really sad, but Turley, you DO know better. Americans aren’t stupid.

    1. Insurrection exists only as communist (liberal, progressive, socialist, democrat, RINO, AINO) hyperbole.

No serious journalistic or legal entity refers to J6 as an insurrection when, by definition, it was, at worst, a riot in which there were many instances of Capitol police escorting members of the public into the Capitol Building, something that is atypical in a riot.

      1. This will be, I hope, the last time it has to be explained that the only instances in which Capitol police stood down is in isolated instances when they were overwhelmed and outnumbered, multiple members of their unit had already been injured, some seriously, and they were told by their commanding officer to stand down—you can’t explain away the pre-insurrection plotting and planning, the smashed doors and windows, the battering of police officers, the urination and defecation inside the Capitol and calls to “hang Pence”, with a pre-made gallows and hunting for Nancy Pelosi. They would have both been killed if Trump’s army had gotten hold of them–that was their intention. This was an insurrection–the aim was to award the presidency to Trump, even though he lost–by force, if necessary.

        1. “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard”.

          – President Donald J. Trump
          ________________________________

274 undercover false flag FBI agents and operatives deliberately agitated the vulnerable participants into rioting.

          Here’s your word, comrade:

          RIOT

          Merriam-Webster

          riot

          noun
          ri·ot ˈrī-ət

          1a: a violent public disorder

specifically, law : a violent disturbance of the public peace by three or more persons assembled together that presents a danger of injury to a person or property

1b: public violence, tumult, or disorder

          1. 1000 words later, at the end of the speech “fight like hell or you won’t have a country anymore.”

And they did as they were told to do.

    2. Telling facts (even if you back it up with video evidence which there is copious amounts of), to trump supporters who believe they were right and had the duty to kill people to keep trump in office is futile. IMHO – What they did that day is called an insurrection.

      1. Telling facts (even if you back it up with video evidence which there is copious amounts of), to trump supporters who believe they were right and had the duty to kill people to keep trump in office is futile.

Well… your keep running with that! It’s failed miserably to keep Bribery Biden (and then his DEI Hire Border Czar) in office. But if you double down and keep trying to sell it you might reverse the results of the 2024 election yet!

      2. Your biased opinion is immaterial and irrelevant.

What happened by protestors on Jan 6 did not possess any potential to take over any government; for starters, it was an unarmed, unorganized crowd.

What they did that day was a riot, agitated into existence by 274 false flag undercover FBI agents and operatives.

      3. You are simply delusional. The people didn’t even have weapons to kill anyone with, unless you count a makeshift ‘guillotine’ as some sort of weapon. Then the people were wandering around inside, actually staying in the roped line. Officers were showing them around, taking them on tours. And the doors that can usually be locked and withstand a lot of force were left unlocked; hmmm, I wonder why. Then the police opened the doors and waved everyone in. When the patriots tried to get police to stop infiltrators from breaking windows, the police just stood around like idiots.

It was all an entrapment operation, including little ray epps, who repeatedly urged people to attack the capital and instructed his fellow garbage to remove barriers. Yet somehow, he was never charged with anything. Another hmmmmm.

You might consider reading some history about real insurrections or revolutions; they usually involve young, military age men and not the older people of the society.

    3. @Anonymous

I will do this much more succinctly than you – you are a troll. Nobody cares, and nobody believes you are anything but a troll.

    4. Turley: you know better.

Why hello Gigi! You’re doing better these days when you fly in on your broom to comment anonymously. Now instead of one paragraph of successive run-on sentences, you spare anyone actually reading some pain by splitting the one massive paragraph into two overly long paragraphs of run-on sentences of lies.

        1. “she is now parroting georgie”

You cannot really be so naive as to believe that those are two different sources for posts (whether wetware, or, more likely, bots) can you?

    5. No one sought to stop the peaceful transfer of power.

That was to occur on Jan 20,2021

They sought to stop the certification of the federal election in several states were the election was rife with lawlessness and likely fraud.

What is it that you think should have occured in Georgia where even the democrat head of the Fulton County Election commission says under oath they counted 315,000 illegal votes ?

The GA courts IGNORED challenges to the Fulton County election – refusing to allow any challenges to get to the point of issuing subpoenas calling witnesses, or examining evidence.

YOU have ranted about allegations of Fraud by Republicans.
YOU have pushed this lunacy that Russia somehow threw the election to Trump in 2016 – despite the fact that there is no evidence that Russia successfully hacked a single voting machine or election commission.

YOU peddled claims about rigged voting machines in the past.

Yet YOU oppose all efforts to conduct elections lawfully and with integrity.

And YOU oppose all efforts to challenge elections that are not conducted lawfully and with integrity.

The 2020 presidential election was a dumpster fire of lawlessness, and while SOME of the parade of horribles that resulted have been cleaned up – much of the damage and garbage means of running crappy and potentially fraud ridden elections remains.

Running an election that can be trusted is not all that hard. Much of the world does that.

Vote privately in person on election day at a polling place with ID on paper ballots counted in public by hand, with all subtotals available to the public.

That makes all forms of fraud nearly impossible. It also massively improves peoples trust in elections.

      1. John Say,

The first step in the peaceful transfer of power is elections.
The second step is the certification of the elections. Stopping that certification stops the peaceful transfer of power.

That was the goal. When that certification is stopped the opportunity opens to submit falsified voting tallys instead of the result of the first step. That also stops the peaceful transfer of power.

Sending a mob to make a violent attack to stop the certification eliminates the peaceful part of the transfer.

The only reason insurrection wasn’t charged is that it requires proof of mental state; the other crimes don’t require proof of mental state and so that’s what was used as it was direct.

No fraud of sufficient scale has been found to alter the outcome of the 2020 election; most of the fraud that was found was Republicans voting on behalf of recently dead relatives. I can see the party willing to commit fraud would believe they would be able to prove the other party also did the same, but that fraud did not happen on the Democrat side.

    6. Nutacha

US presidential elections are not determined by the nationwide popular vote.

      That is therefore irrelevant.

If you do not like that – change the constitution.

I would note that if you convert presidential elections into a pure popularity contest, you will change the naturee of the election, and of the presidency and of the federal govenrment.
You will massively amplify the power of large population centers and diminish the power of everyone else.

Contra left wing nuts the constitution not only has no provision for making all votes equal it has numerous provisions to assure they are not.
The constitution is actually very “anti-democratic” – because this country is a republic not a democracy,
Because our founders were correctly hostile to democracy.

What J6 protestors sought that you oppose is perfectly consistent with those anti-democratic principles in the constitution.

They sought to demand that congress refuse to certify the presidential election in states that conducted their elections egregiously lawlessly.

That is precisely why the constitution grants congress the final word on presidential election. No delegation of power in the constitution is purely cerimonial.
When the constitution gave the final word on presidential elections to Congress it also gave congress the power to declare that some or all of the states results were void for whatever reason they wished – certaintly because they were conducted lawlessly and potentially fraudulently.

Protestors on J6 did not demand congress do anything that was NOT a legitmate power of Congress to do.

Both Hagman and Raskin are off in lala land. It is irrelevant what J6 protestors were charged with.

What is relevant are the facts.

Contra your claim no one sought to disrupt the peaceful transfer of power.

They sought to have the votes in the election counted correctly – following the actual law.

The tooth and nail efforts of those on the left to allow any exploration or investigation into the lawless conduct of the 2020 election is the Actual criminal lawlessness.

      1. “They sought to demand that congress refuse to certify the presidential election in states that conducted their elections egregiously lawlessly.”

They had months to contact their representatives in Congress. I expect they did not or were rebuffed. They then decided to extort through violence an outcome that could not be reached in a peaceful manner.

There was no evidence that there were any votes counted incorrectly. That was explored in the months between the election and the certification at the Capitol.

In addition, they mainly had no standing to tell people in other states how to run their elections. If there was some problem at the state level it is up to the citizens of that state to take the matter up with the legislators of that state.

    7. “We all saw the evidence that the Proud Boys did a pre-insurrection reconnaissance mission, witnessed and testified to by a British journalist who was embedded with them, and how they plotted how to break past Capitol Police by creating a distraction at one point, leaving another point vulnerable. ”

      False and irrelevant.
Absolutely the proud boys and many many others “plotted” to be at the capital on J6.

It was not the proud boys that visited the capital prior to J6,

Though in what world is it that you think visiting the US capital – the pre-eminent Public forumn for Free Speech in the entire world is somehow a crime ?

      1. Conspiracy to commit a crime is a crime regardless of whether any element of the performance of the crime would not of itself be considered criminal. It’s not a crime to buy rat poison, but it is a crime to plan to buy rat poison to adulterate the food of a person with the intention to kill them.

Planning to attack the Capitol and visiting the Capitol as part of that planning is a crime.

    8. …another piece of poorly re-written History (which as we know equates to a pack of lies…) to fit the J6 insurrectionst narrative of ‘Anonymous Turley you know better’ who is clueless re: the definition of insurrectionist… Go study History.. weapons are needed to carry out an insurrection as in ‘Military,’ and unfortunately the guy with the horns was leading no one but himself wandering around the Capitol lost… I only read a few of your lines… you and Raskin are hilarious in your delusions.

      1. Weapons are not necessary to carry out an insurrection; many times weapons are used, but it’s not a defining requirement. They can just as well be carried out by physical violence of a crowd against elements of the government when the goal is to wrest power. It is unique in this case that the attack was intended to prevent a duly elected president from taking office. It is also the case that make-shift weapons were used.

    9. “They brought along bear spray”
      One or two did.
My wife carries pepper spray in her purse.

The Capitol Police could have setup baggage checks and metal detectors to assure that no weapons or anything dangerous entered the Capital.

      They did not.

      1. Bear spray in a 16 oz can is not the same as pepper spray in a 1 ounce can. There aren’t bears on Capitol hill.

They also brought nylon dual loop handcuff zip-ties and wore tactical vests. These are also not elements of a typical conversation with a representative.

    10. ” used flag poles and stolen police shields”
Absolute proof this was NOT planned.

A Kavanagh protestor tok an Axe to a senators office door.
He did not find that Axe in the Senate Cloak Room – he brought it with him – PLANNED.

Insurectionsts do not “plan” to use a flag pole.
They bring guns LOTS of them.

      1. The plan was not to go to prison for violating DC’s gun control laws. The plan was to provide sufficient menace as to not allow the proceeding to take place and allow swing state legislators to over-ride the vote of the people in their state by submitting false slates of electors.

    11. Anonymous the Bug: You say “it WAS an insurrection because the intent of the event was to stop the peaceful transfer of power.” Please provide the evidence for this statement. The majority, or at least the plurality. of J6 rioters who have been interviewed said that their main concern was open borders.
Trump, like Gore before him, may have intended to reverse the official results of the Presidential election, but that was not the cause for the majority of those who came to the Capitol building on that day. They came to express strongly their displeasure with the direction of the country.

    12. “beat and batter police offices.”
Those people who actually initiated violence against the Capital Police should be prosecuted.

But you dirtied everything up so much that is near impossible to ascertain.
Further you corrupted the DOJ so much that the so called “Carreer prosecutors” are not trustworthy and far more often are just left wing legal hacks.

” Some of them DID have guns.”
To this day there is no evidence that a any protestor brought any firearms into the capital.

“There were pre-insurrection planning meetings at the Willard Hotel.”
      Every protest ever is planned.

” Pence was pressured to refuse to accept the election results,”
Yup, and contra Pence what he was asked to do was p[erfectly constitutional and has happened MORE THAN ONCE before.
In fact VP Nixon did so in 1960 – rejecting the “Official” certified EC votes of HI that went for him, and accepting the late arriving EC votes of “alternate electors” for Kennedy – because there was compelling evidence the initial certification was wrong.

“the Secret Service was pressured to try to get Pence to leave the Capitol, but he wouldn’t budge.”
No idea what you are talking about – but the Secret Service does their job according to the law.
While the Hutchinson story is total Garbage it is known that Trump wanted to go to the Capital and the Secret Service prevented him from doing so.

“Fake electors were lined up and signed false Electoral College documents claiming Trump won when he didn’t.”
They are called “alternate electors” and according to the courts they are constitutionally required when you seek to challenge the results of a presidential election. This is AGAIN not the first time that occurred. The votes of the “alternate electors” were counted in the 1960 Nixon/kennedy election.

“Trump tried to get Secretaries of State to “find” votes for him”
Correct – and given that we KNOW that 315,000 votes in Fulton County GA were illegally counted that is a reasonable request.

“He did everything possible to try to cast doubt on the election results, hoping to prevent certification”
Absolutely – and he is completely allowed to do that.
Hillary did much the same in 2016.

“so as to throw the question of how each state’s electors should vote to state legislatures”
The constitution gives the task of certifying the EC vote in that state to the legislature.

“but it was all based on nothing–no proof, no evidence. ”
And yet with each month more and more evidence has emerged.

None are so blind as those who refuse to see.

      “Polls predicted Trump would lose”
      As they did in 2016.
      as many did in 2024.

“so it wasn’t some unexpected result.”

48,000 votes would have flipped the election.
The only US election that was ever closer was the Gore/Bush 2000 election.

      “The country was in chaos,”
Yes left wing nuts were rioting.

      “with COVID out of control”
As it still is – humans do not control viruses,
Frankly we have very minimal control of nature.

“What is man that You are mindful of him”
      Psalm 8:4

“restaurants, businesses and schools shut down, people out of work, no leisure travel”
For the most part only in Blue states.
Regardless a stupid and unnecescary mistake of left wing nuts.

So you are claiming that your own bad policies are why Trump lost ?

“new daily records of COVID deaths and infections.”
The daily average death rate under the last 11 months of Trump was the same as the first 22 months of Biden.
There were 3 times as many Covid deaths under Biden as Trump.

      YOUR polices were a disaster.
They had Zero impact on Covid and a serious negative economic impact.

I would note that the Vaccine – which YOU fawn over despite being ineffective was developed in record time under Trump – not Biden.
So the tool YOU think would have helped was not even yours.

“Americans were fed up with Trump.”
No, just the same left wing nuts with a problem today.

“They brought along a makeshift gallows.”
That would not have been able to hang a teddy bear with a sign on it that say “This is Art”
      https://i.imgflip.com/95rn61.png

BTW the “Gallows” was not on the Capital Grounds it was on the other side of the reflecting pool near 3rd street.

” They had a cache of weapons in a hotel room across the Potomac.”
Yes all of 4 guns – legally in Virginia.

    13. “Despite pleas of his staff and family”
Not well supported by evidence and not relevant.

The NG were waiting at the WAshingon Armory at 7am J6
All that was needed was a call from Pelosi or the house sargent at arms and they would have been at the Captital.

Trump wanted them there from the start.
      Pelosi vehemently did NOT.

She wanted exactly what she got.

    14. “One of Trump’s supporters challenged the police officer who told her not to proceed through a broken side light window into the Speaker’s Lobby,”
While it is true that Alishi Babbit did attempt to go through a bocken window into the empty speakers lobby,
It is FALSE that she was told not to and in fact just before she did, The officers on her side of the door moved AWAY from the door to allow her to be able to do so.

Something that was common through the entire event – CP officers delaying protestors until the area ahead was cleared and then allowing protestors into that area.

Officer Byrd claims to have issued a warning – No one else – including 3 CP officers has ever testified to hearing that Warning. nor is it on any of the audio of the event.

Byrd then Shot Alishi in the neck as she started into the window, Killing Alishi but also putting all the officers behind her in dange of being shot,
and creating a serious danger that those officers might have responded to gunfire.

      Alishi Babbet was murdered.

She had no weapon, no gun, no knife, no 5000lb SUV.
Contra your claim she was NOT disobeying the order of a LEO at the time.
There was no one by Ofc. Byrd in the speakers lobby when she tried to enter it.
There was no threat to his or anyone else’s life or threat of serious bodily injury – no Officer on Alishi’s side of the lobby door was threatened or injured prior to the shooting.

      Byrd committed cold blooded murder.

Yet idiots like you think alishi’s shooting was justified but Goods was not ?

Pleas Please keep showing how you distort law and reality to serve your ideology.

“as did over 60 lawsuits, dismissed for lack of evidence. Also failed were multiple audits, recounts and all kinds of accusations of fake ballots, dead people and illegals voting, people voting mulitple times–claims which didn’t pan out because there wasn’t any evidence to support any of these things this being widespread”
Absolutely your narative that Trump lost all these lawsuits is true.
YOUR problem is your claims regarding lack of evidence are OBVIOUSLY false.

“Fulton County admitted that around 315,000 votes from the 2020 election were illegally certified and included in the final election results.”
      https://www.realclearpolitics.com/2025/12/19/fulton_county_315k_votes_lacking_sign-off_counted_in_20_680815.html

Trump won 127,000 FC votes, If the 315K included every single Trump vote, rejecting those 315K illegal votes STILL would have flipped GA to Trump.
It also would have flipped the Senate race from Ossoff to Perdue and from Warnock to Loeffler.
      Flipping 3 GA Elections.

Trump lost GA by 11,000 votes.

The Maricpoa county audit in AZ found that 48,000 ballots were counted from only 13,500 people
Trump lost AZ by 11,000 votes.
BTW there were certification and chain of custody problems with hundreds of thousands of AZ ballots.

The only positive thing for Biden and Democrats that the AZ audit and hand count answered was that the Dominion voting machines counter the ballots correctly.

While it proved they COULD have easily been hacked, they weren’t.

      “This was NOT a riot”
If anything it was LESS than a riot.
It was LESS violent than the JUne attack on the WH by left wing nuts.
It was LESS violent than the Kavanaugh protests in the Capital.

      “it was a planned, coordinated”
      Absolutely all protests were.

And absolute the goal was to persuade the congress not to certify the election.
Again something protestors are allowed to attempt to do.

“Merriam Webster contains this definition of “insurrection”: “an act or instance of revolting against civil authority or an established government”.And if you wish to go with overboard defintions
The Kavanaugh protests were an insurection, the protests at the WH in june 2020 were an insurection.
The protests at the Portland Federal Courthouse in 2020 and now were an insurrection.
The left wing efforts to thwart ICE right now in Minneapolis are an insurrection.

Trump is threatening to invoke the insurrection act in MN right now – and by YOUR definition of insurection he can easily do so,
and he can arrest all the protestors as well as the Governor and the Mayer and the State AG.

Your definition of insurrection encompasses every left wing protest that ever was.

And that is he major problem with the left.

In your idiotic world Alishi Babbits murder was justified as was Rose Boylands.
      While Rene Good was murdered.

In your World J6 is a planned insurrection – but myriads of more violent left wing protests in defiance of civil authority are not.

Your application of definitions to reality is OBVIOUSLY dictated by your ideology – not facts.

You should not wonder why no one trusts you.

    15. Ano
They brought along a makeshift gallows.
      _________________________________

How made that claim? And Proof please.

  11. In May 2023, I listened to two speeches by Dean William Treanor of Georgetown Law, label January 6th as an insurrection. It seems the lack of legal knowledge is not confined to members of congress and/or professors.

  12. Come on MAN! Dems and Rascally Raskin don’t need no stinkin laws or facts to spew feces (aka their point of view) for consumption by rabid lefty morons and woke Karen nit wits! Spinning up the low IQ troglodytes of the Democrat party not complicated and simply needs a 5 second misinformation soundbite with a few simpleton vocabulary words like Orange-Man, Nazi, Facist, or Threat! Of they go to 28 Days Later land!!!!

      1. Come-on-Man-Anon, was not referring to Trump, he was pointing out the preponderance of the weak-brained left, who make snap judgments on insulting slogans and gossip.

If you think you’re going to be witty at least think-up something on your own because your lazy piggy-back ride only proves him right!

  13. JT says “None of this excuses the outrageous riot that occurred on that terrible day.”

    Why did they riot?
What was the purpose of breaking into the Capitol and yell “hang Mike Pence”?

    1. ” What was the purpose of breaking into the Capitol and yell “hang Mike Pence”? ”

It is quite obvious that Mike Pence is representative of the “Old Guard”, much like Liz Cheney.

      1. So why did they riot? Were they intent on killing Mike Pence because they don’t like “old guard”?

      1. I don’t know what you are asking. There was an election in 2020 (November to be exact), trump lost.
What did the “rioters” hope to accomplish by rushing into the Capitol building and disrupt the acceptance of Electoral College votes?

        1. What did the “rioters” hope to accomplish by rushing into the Capitol building and disrupt the acceptance of Electoral College votes?

Same as the “rioters” who rushed into the same Capitol building while the Senators were actually physically present, to stop the ongoing confirmation vote that would place Justice Kavanaugh on SCOTUS?

Same as the “rioters” who mounted a two day assault on the White House while Trump his family and heads of his Administration were inside?

Were the J1 rioters wanting a “mostly peaceful” selfie with Orange Man Bad if they could cripple enough Capitol Police and Secret Service to enable them to break into the White House?

Your move, Tovarish… nobody knows what you’re asking either. I have a pretty good idea, however… so, your move Tovarish.

      1. Desperation, and the rekindling of J-6 rage for the upcoming campaign season.

The masters of the democrat-plantation KNOW that manic-democrats vote on raw emotions fueled by gossip (yellow journalism) and pulp fictions.

      2. Timing is everything in politics Dusty… Consider:
Gabbard declassified what we all knew….we have Obama now.
Smartmatic and Dominion software was reportedly developed and used in Venezuela…we have Maduro.
Patel has indicated indictments for the seditious conspiracy are close …we have the deep state now
Clinton’s fail to appear and leave the country …. we have them now.

Perhaps this new J6 committee will evidence the truth and support what’s on its way?!

    1. To set the record straight — Apparently the first J6 committee mishandled (aka hid or destroyed) evidence to reach a conclusion that furthered their political advantage.

      1. Perhaps not, but it can be (and in this case is) an accurate observation. One might embellish that observation into a cogent inquiry about how morons like Raskin are repetitively reelected to office.

    1. I don’t think that complimenting him will win you any favors. That will take serious bribery…

  14. When your yelling for the VP to be hung so that votes are not counted, so that the sitting president (who lost the election) can remain president.

    THAT IS AN INSURRECTION.

No amount of BS on the part of JT or trump or MAGA (Excuse me MAGMA) will ever change that.

        1. Bottom line: the inspector general’s report — as reported across major news organizations — concludes there were no undercover FBI agents embedded to instigate Jan. 6, while documenting the presence of confidential human sources and flagging failures in the FBI’s pre‑event intelligence work

          1. That only means that due care was taken to prevent successfully tracing the infiltrators, and to insulate those Deep State interests who were truly responsible from any accountability.

    1. Quite simply, what you say here, and believe with all your heart, is a fabrication. And, it proves two things:

      1) mainstream propaganda works; say the lies long enough and they become truth to those who NEED the lies, and

      2) the obvious fact that Pelosi loaded her panel with those of her own bent proves she had facts to ignore, truths to hide, and stories to fabricate.
      * No normal logician objects to equal representation on a fair panel of inquiry, unless they are corrupt.

      1. @Dianna

Oh, it was an utter and complete farce, and they knew exactly what they were doing, and felt they had the space, leverage, and compliance to do it. A lot of people still believe the J6 reality show was some sort of trial. It’s ludicrous. I feel for the people in Minnesota that just want sanity and peaceful lives, but apparently, they just keep insisting on voting for this.

        1. “the people in Minnesota that just want sanity and peaceful lives, but apparently, they just keep insisting on voting for this.”

That voting pattern means that those voters entirely lack sanity, and have forfeited any meritorious claims to peace…

    2. Ridiculous!

      Hyperbole!

An unarmed, unorganized crowd of civilians makes a riot, not a viable insurrection; never was there any threat of a violent change of government.
