Below is my column on the return of Marc Elias in another campaign controversy with the Alaskan decoy scandal. The Elias Law Group and other lawyers were tied to the effort to confuse Alaskan voters by The New York Times in its recent investigative report. These lawyers presumably have a growing conflict of interest as dozens of subpoenas shower down on Alaska. What is clear is that this scandal will not end on Tuesday and, if the results are close in favor of Democrat Mary Peltola, there could be a major fight over her taking her seat in the Senate.
Here is the column:
Marc Elias is back. The notorious Democratic lawyer who played a critical role in the 2016 Russia hoax is again in the news. His law firm has been identified by the New York Times as part of the expanding scandal involving Democratic effort to confuse voters in Alaska with a decoy candidate named Daniel J. Sullivan.
For those familiar with Elias’s checkered history, this is a case of rounding up the usual suspects.
The scandal involving Democratic candidate Mary Peltola has quickly snowballed this week. A New York Times blockbuster investigative report quotes former staff who claim she knew of a cynical effort by her own campaign and the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee to confuse voters by recruiting and fielding a decoy “Dan Sullivan” candidate in the race against incumbent Sen. Daniel S. Sullivan (R-Alaska). State and federal investigations are now unfolding, with dozens of federal subpoenas raining down on Alaska.
The effort to get voters to cast mistaken ballots is grossly unethical and, even in these rage-filled times, a uniquely disgraceful scheme. Peltola and the Democratic Party had long denied any involvement in the other Sullivan’s candidacy. So when the Times produced evidence that she allegedly knew, and that Democratic staffers and lawyers had been deeply involved from the beginning, many of us were surprised — that is, until the name “Marc Elias” emerged. Then it made more sense.
The Elias Law Group was already in the news this election cycle for threatening reporters with defamation lawsuits if they kept asking questions about the health of former Gov. Roy Cooper, the Democratic nominee for Senate in North Carolina. Earlier, Elias caused a stir during an unsuccessful Democratic gerrymandering effort, raising the idea that Democratic leaders could abolish the entire Virginia government after courts blocked their attempted radical redistricting plan.
The fact that figures such as Peltola and Cooper wanted to be associated with any law firm headed by Elias is itself an indictment of their judgment and standards.
Despite his losses in cases such as National Republican Senatorial Committee v. Federal Election Commission, Elias is still a favorite of many on the left thanks to his aggression and partisan fervor. The controversies that make him notorious to many make him popular with others.
Elias was the general counsel to the Clinton presidential campaign when it secretly funded the infamous Steele Dossier and pushed the false Alfa Bank conspiracy theory. (His fellow Perkins Coie partner, Michael Sussmann, was later indicted but acquitted for making a false statement to the FBI.)
Clinton campaign officials lied to reporters during the 2016 campaign, denying any involvement in the Steele Dossier. Journalists discovered the truth after the election — that the Clinton campaign had hidden payments for the dossier as “legal fees” among the $5.6 million paid to Perkins Coie. New York Times reporter Ken Vogel said that when he tried to report the story, Elias “pushed back vigorously, saying ‘You (or your sources) are wrong.’”
Times reporter Maggie Haberman later observed that “Folks involved in funding this lied about it, and with sanctimony, for a year.” The Federal Election Commission ultimately sanctioned the Clinton campaign for the subterfuge.
While raising money as the self-proclaimed defenders of democracy, Elias’s group has been involved in gerrymandering and efforts criticized as seeking to invalidate Republican votes, including unsuccessful efforts to challenge Democratic electoral losses.
In Maryland, Elias’s team supported another abusive gerrymandering scheme that a court found not only violated Maryland law but the state constitution’s equal protection, free speech and free elections clauses. The court found that the proposed map “subverts the will of those governed.”
One media site accused Elias and his group of “making millions off gerrymandering efforts” while publicly denouncing Republican gerrymandering.
In 2024, Elias’s legal team was also accused of pushing “to bar third-party presidential candidates — including Cornel West — from swing state ballots where they might siphon votes” from Democratic nominee Kamala Harris.
Likewise, the New York Times reported that the Elias firm’s work “on behalf of a Soros-funded PAC in Texas … was opposed by a left-leaning election watchdog as undermining laws intended to limit the influence of major donors.”
His group’s work for New York’s redistricting effort was ridiculed as not only ignoring the express will of the voters and also effectively negating Republicans’ votes.
In 2024, the Chief Judge of the Western District of Wisconsin criticized the Elias Law Group for one of its challenges. Judge James Peterson (an Obama appointee) said that the argument “simply does not make any sense.”
Now, Elias’s group is linked to the decoy scandal in Alaska, which allegedly aimed to make voters cast mistaken ballots. What distinguishes lawyers involved in this type of voter disruption is less their talent as their willingness. There are simply some things that most lawyers will not do.
There is also a difference in how lawyers are treated in such controversies. It often seems that election controversies involving Republican lawyers are more likely to end with bar charges and disbarments. Take John Eastman, the former Trump lawyer disbarred in California after a state bar panel found that he had pushed unfounded legal theories and conspired to obstruct the electoral vote count on Jan. 6, 2021.
Although I publicly disagreed with Eastman’s theories, I opposed the effort to disbar him as setting a dangerous precedent for lawyers seeking to advance novel or unpopular theories of recovery or liability. After all, lawyers on the left routinely advance dubious theories, including some that are more ideologically than legally driven. Such controversies rarely rise to the level of disbarment, especially when more appropriate sanctions are available, ranging from reprimands to fines.
Eastman is currently asking the Supreme Court to overturn his disbarment. It is unlikely that Elias Law Group or Peltola’s lawyers will face similar disbarment efforts — nor should they, in my view, unless they were involved in criminal conduct. But the disparate treatment afforded to counsel in this country by party remains a growing concern. What draws a shower of bar complaints for Republican lawyers brings a windfall of clients for Democratic lawyers.
The New York Times has produced sources alleging that lawyers for Peltola’s campaign were involved in this effort, even though they previously told a federal court that they “lack knowledge or information” and “deny any allegation about those purposes.” Such filings and statements could raise ethical or even criminal questions in investigations at both the state and federal levels.
Meanwhile, though, tens of thousands of voters in Alaska have already cast ballots that included the decoy Sullivan candidate. This could result in a nasty fight in Congress if Peltola prevails in the vote count. And when it happens, that is where we will find Marc Elias in his element.
Jonathan Turley is a law professor and the New York Times best-selling author of “Rage and the Republic: The Unfinished Story of the American Revolution.”
It could be proven scientifically and objectively that the Trump crime family is much more crimey than the “Biden crime family”, but Trump supporters would turn blind eyes to this proof, just like how the OJ jury turned blind eyes to the proof against OJ Simpson.
“It could be proven scientifically and objectively… ”
Um… so why haven’t you proven it scientifically and objectively? Guessing you’re very stupid based on the fact that you would make that assertion and include the Simpson murder case as an example.
@Moronymous
You are an idiot and a troll. We all think so. You convince no one, because the typical patron of this blog is not a five year-old or its emotional equivalent. Let the grownups talk.
There is no “Trump crime family”. No one in the Trump family has been shown to have committed a crime. Whereas the Biden crime family’s only source of income for years has been collecting bribes for the Big Guy. He was a pro; as soon as he no longer had any quo to offer, the quid abruptly stopped rolling in.
In a time not that long ago, when we were at least still expending some effort to pretend to observe our Constitution, today would have been the day when voting began, and ended, and tabulation of the results to the point required to declare winners and losers would have been completed by the early hours of Wednesday morning. Then we would have acknowledged the results, and our personal, business, and civic lives would have resumed with little interruption. I think that we have damaged ourselves badly not only by allowing people to vote in a variety of ways that don’t reinforce the importance of that task (not to mention allowing voting by non-citizens who should never have been entitled to do so), but also just by the lack of a timely resolution to the process. Even after the results are published, which in some races will probably take a few days, there inevitably are going to be legal challenges from declared losers of all parties and political persuasions that will drag of for weeks, possibly for months. Now, as a libertarian, at one time I would have celebrated anything that impairs the operations of a far-too-powerful Federal government that exists largely to impose unconstitutional burdens on its citizens, but this time is different: the end game of the woke Marxists who may ultimately prevail is the permanent curtailment of individual Liberty.
Nothing in the constitution suggests that an election should take place on a single day, or that its results should be quickly known.
If we had Public Frauds lawsuits with lightning fast due process, political party hacks like Marc Elias would find himself out of clients. Somebody explain why they think 1A goes so far as to protect campaign speech intending to dupe the electorate.
How meaningful is “the consent of the governed” if it is obtained through trickery and deceit?
“intending” but not consummated, simple political rhetoric. M. Elias intends/intended to shoot pbinca for being a republican.
Somebody explain why they think 1A goes so far as to protect campaign speech intending to dupe the electorate.
Because it does. The supreme court couldn’t have been clearer on that point.
Turley claims “Elias’s group” is “LINKED TO” the Alaska decoy scandal, and that’s enough for MAGA verse to go into overdrive to accuse him of unethical behavior and to call for his disbarment. What does “linked to” mean? Where is the proof? No facts are cited —or even necessary in MAGA world.
Just another example of how far MAGA will go to create a diversion from Trump’s incompetence, Republicans letting him do whatever he wants, what a lousy job Trump has done since taking office, with higher inflation, higher prices, and tariffs driving up the cost of living. Then, there’s the war he started based on a lie.
It turns out that the Trump administration has taken and compiled the Social Security and other private, personal information Musk, via his DOGE assistants, accessed from various government databases. The information was used to create a master database of what the Trump administration is trying to claim are eligible voters, and this is the basis for the Trump administration claiming that there are thousands of ineligible voters—assertions which have been disproven. This scheme will not work simply because the federal government does not play any role in determining whether someone is eligible to vote. That is exclusively the province of the states.
Because Trump is so desperate to hang onto the power he lied to get, there is concern that Trump will try to seize ballots, maybe even before they are counted, and try to get MAGA sympathetic Secretaries of State to refuse to certify vote totals. A court has already ruled that Alaska cannot refuse to certify Mary Peltola if she wins.
Another BTW: Trump blew $5 million of our tax dollars to gild statues in Washington DC.. The gilding appears to be coming off. Come December, millions of Americans will lose their health coverage.
BS ANON
Trump doesn’t only want power.
He wants to avoid prison. Trump is desperate to avoid prison.
Prison for what?/ Anon is desparate!
@Moronymous
Sure. Let’s arrest people for invented crimes. You are a paid fascist tool, and we all know it. Go blow. There was another group of people who did precisely what you espouse back in 1933; eventually the Nazi party was declared the only party, just like the modern dems. Globalists and their allies are cut from the same cloth and doing the same, with a dash of misogynistic and purely fundamental Islam in the mix. But you keep pretending, in your metal illness, that you are some kind of good guy.
For someone like Springsteen to claim El-Stepstool is a defender of our Constitution is the kind of gaslighting that is just pure and simply mental.
” Where is the proof? “
Read the NYT article – texts, emails, interviews.
Regardless, there will be an investigation.
Further there is far more evidence of an election rigging conspiracy involving the Peltola campaign, the DSCC, Elias and a Democrat SuperPAC than the collusion delusion.
So please enough of the faux outrage and the uniformed B$.
The facts are there. Your just pretending the do not exist.
It is also disturbing having to deal with you left wing nuts constantly.
I amnd many others here point out THE FACTS to you constantly.
and half an hour later your back spouting the same nonsense again.
Your uninformed nonsense has been debunked.
You are not entitled to posters here listing the law and the evidence and the links to the evidence and the law
hundreds of times over.
“No facts are cited —or even necessary in MAGA world.”
You have been provided the Facts
Further most of you are arguing Two faced
This is fake news,
Followed by this is not actually a crime
Or three faced
Republicans do it to.
This is not fake news – the story was broken by NYT – they have texts, emails, and multiple sources from inside the Petola campaign.
This is an actual crime – actually it is several crimes. It is NOT as of this moment fully established exactly who committed which crimes.
But that is what criminal investigations are for.
No republicans do not to this to.
Since the advent of the Federal reserve we have ALWAYS had inflation – while mild deflation is actually good – the Federal reserve requires inflation to be able to regulate the economy.
They want approx 2% inflation all the time.
Absolutely we have too much inflation right now – but we are a factor of 3 below Biden’s peak. And below where inflation was for most of Biden’s presidency.
Further REAL Growth – after inflation is 3.8% – That is excellent – The average family has $5K more spendable income than at the end of 2024.
During Bidens presidency The average family lost 3500/yr – that has been regained and then some.
No the War was not started based on a lie – Iran has publicly admitted that they had enough 65% enriched uranium to make 11 Hiroshima type Atomic Bombs with more being produced every week.
The Bombin in JUne 2025 set Iran back significantly – but NOT forever. They are STILL trying to recover that Uranium.
They are no longer a few weeks away from multiple U235 Bombs, but absent continuous intervention they will get there soon enough – not Weeks, many months, but not many years. A U235 Bomb is only difficult to produce in ONE way – it requires refining a massive amount of Uranium ore to Weapons grade. Once that is accomplished The bomb itself is childs play to make and is guaranteed to work without testing.
U235 will generate exponentially increasing nuclear fision under normal conditions of temperature and pressure. All you have to do is put two blobs of U235 that together are a “critical mass” together and you have a nuclear explosion. No complex timing. No chance of a fizzle 100% guaranteed nuclear explosion.
Iran got to this point because Obama and Biden were feckless clones of Neville Chamberlain who beleived Hitler when he agreed to Peace in return for Czechoslovakia.
When Trump was elected there were two choices – accept that the most fanatical terrorist suicidal regime in the world was going to become a nuclear power, or go to war.
That is it – there was no third way.
All of us wish that was not the choice we had.
“It turns out that the Trump administration has taken and compiled the Social Security and other private, personal information Musk, via his DOGE assistants, accessed from various government databases.”
Correct – DOGE – part of the US Government, access Government information. DUH ?
Everyone involved had the appropriate clearances and non disclosures.
Regardless the FACT is that the Federal Government has a massive amount of information on you.
That is concerning. But I am far more concerned about Democrat public servants having that than DOGE.
You seem to have forgotten that Lois Lehrner used IRS data to target conservtive groups.
That The IRS leaked Trumps tax return.
That Biden paid NGO’s to scour the intenet for posts by conservatives and get them censored.
Teh claim that there are ineligable voters on the voter rules is proveable trivially – numerous places i the US have more people on the voter roles that people living in that district. That is proof of incompetence, it is proof that much of the country has failed to comply with federal election law.
It is not ALONE proof of election fraud – but it is absolutely proof of the oportunity for election fraud.
And like field of dreams – “if you build it they will come”
If election fraud is possible – it will occur, especially if it is diffult or impossible to catch.
Many states have absolutely no way to tell if a person registering to vote is eligable to vote.
In fact tell me how ANY state can confirm that a person is eligible to vote ?
In many states you can get a drivers license if you are not a citizen. In a few states you can get one if you are not even a legal resident.
In slightly less than half of states you do not need a drivers license to register to vote – a utility bill is sufficient.
Biden issued social security numbers to illegal aliens – and legal residents get Social security numbers.
So exactly how is it that a state can tell if a person is a citizen ?
As we are learning from the Ilhan Omar case – even the Federal government can not tell for sure if some people are citizens.
Ilhan Omars father was allegedly naturalized in 2006, and Omar was allegedly 17 at the time.
But the state department and DHS have no record of that naturalization.
It is possible that there was no naturalization. It is possible that the records were lost.
Regardless the FACT is that the US government is unable to tell if he father was naturalized in 2006.
And the federal government is supposed to have records of those things.
So please tell me how it is that NAY of the 50 states is able to verify that someone registering to vote is eligable ?
“This scheme will not work simply because the federal government does not play any role in determining whether someone is eligible to vote. That is exclusively the province of the states.”
ROFL
This is an incredibly ignorant and stupid statement.
18 U.S.C. § 611
(a)It shall be unlawful for any alien to vote in any election held solely or in part for the purpose of electing a candidate for the office of President, Vice President, Presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, Delegate from the District of Columbia, or Resident Commissioner
The constitution delegates power over Elections to Congress and state legislatures.
No elections are NOT exclusively the province of the states.
Presumable you have heard of the “federal election commission”
What is it you think they have authority over ?
No a court has not ruled that Alaska must certify Peltola in the unlikely event she wins.
The court has ruled that Alaska can not be required to sequestor ballots that might be for Decoy Dan.
There is no ruling regarding Certification.
Trump wanted to be able to confirm that voters who voted for Decoy Dan actually intended to do so.
That is unconstitutional as it violates ballot secracy provisions of the Alaska constitution – of course Mailin voting also violates those same provisions.
Regardless of the outcome of the Alaska election it is likely that Ballots will be seized as evidence in the criminal anc civil investigations – just as they were in Georgia.
Yes, Sec States can refuse to certify votes, as can local election commissions – all this was addressed after 2020.
In fact it is illegal to certify the results of an election if there is evidence that the results are not reliable.
Fulton County GE illegally certifed the 2020 Election when 315K ballots did not have chain of custody.
What is supposed to happen – and what should have happened in 2020 is the respective candidates go to court to seek the certification of ballots that do not meet the requirements of State Election law. A judge gets to decide. State and local election commissioners can only certify the count of lawful ballots.
Yes, PPACA has proven to be a complete and total disaster.
Why is it that YOU are demanding that Republicans must fix YOUR mistakes.
John Say, nothing about this “scandal” is illegal. Not a single thing.
It’s plain old fashioned dirty politics. The same things Republicans have done in the past.
Weirdly enough Alaska’s ranked choice voting PREVENTS split votes. It’s the whole point of the process.
Trump’s DOJ has already lost every single case on voter fraud issues and demands to turn over ballots. The Supreme Court just ruled against the DOJs demands for California to hand over 20,000 mail-in ballots and denied the DOJ’s demand to prevent the certification of Alaska’s vote. Because they don’t have the law on their side and no evidence.
“In fact it is illegal to certify the results of an election if there is evidence that the results are not reliable.”
The problem is there is no evidence. Trump’s DOJ has not been able to provide evidence at all. Allegations are not evidence by the way.
“The constitution delegates power over Elections to Congress and state legislatures.
No elections are NOT exclusively the province of the states.”
Actually that’s wrong. The constitution gives power to the states to run their elections as they see fit. But Congress can change that thru LEGISLATION. Last time I checked the Trump administration is not Congress nor is the DOJ.
Oh look its George X the AI fraudster. “nothing about this “scandal” is illegal. Not a single thing.” Now prove it.
How can any state verify eligibility, you ask, JS? Long ago people working in county records and registrars actually did their jobs. Death certs as an example notified voters registration as deceased and removed. Everyday this work was done with honesty and diligence.
Fill in the blanks…
BTW,
“The claim that gold is melting off the equestrian statues in Washington D.C. is FALSE.”

Turley claims “Elias’s group” is “LINKED TO” the Alaska decoy scandal,
The link is that the Elias Law Group represented both the Peltola campaign and the DSCC, and a lawyer from that group was involved in the discussions about tampering with the ballot, e.g. by starting a fake MAGA party to draw votes away from Sullivan. This was part of the same scheme that had Jerid Kurtz trawling Alaska for Dan Sullivans willing to have their names put on the ballot to sabotage the real Sullivan.
It’s that time of day when the TDS-afflicted demons and jackals crawl out from under a rock and bray at the moon.
There Moon was at New Moon Phase – unsee-able yesterday.
Wow – looky looky. Supreme Court DENIES Department of Justice request for emergency stay in California election case. No noted dissents. The Court did not even ask for opposition briefs!
A complete DEFEAT for Trump DOJ. Another victory for Elias Law Group. By the good Professor’s account, you’d think Elias wasn’t able to win a case – and yet here he is defeating Trump’s weaponized DOJ AGAIN. So strange!
A complete defeat for the Constitution and America.
The singular American failure is the judicial branch, with emphasis on the Supreme Court.
The American Bar Association calls Elias a democracy hero. Out of 64 election cases he was involved in, he won 63 outright and the other one was eventually overturned in his favor. He won the 60 or so lawsuits filed by Trump to try to overturn the 2020 election.
No wonder MAGA world hates him so much.
Any comment on James Carville mentioning you by name, aka Used Condom?
The ABA – Communist Party Headquarters – Abolish Private Property – Nullify the Constitution and Bill of Rights – Redistribute Wealth
Fake claims – Elias actually has a pretty poor track record and was not involved in most of the cases you cite.
Elias is DC law firm it practices in federal and not state courts. It has been part of much of the recent lawfare against Trump and has lost pretty much all of it.
Republicans are seeing a major oportunity here – Elias rarely enages in actions that will not be in the jurisdiction of the DC courts which are favorable to him. But his involvement in this puts in in courts that are less friendly.
If there is a criminal trial – it will be in Alaska – not DC.
This will not be a jury like the Sussman and Danchenko case.
While it is pretty well established that there are mltiple crimes that have taken place in this.
And it is established that Elias was involved. Tht involvement is NOT Automatically criminal – that depends on What he knew and when he knew it. If he knew of an ongoing crime – he no longer has priviledge. IF he knew of it and provided advice on how to commit it – he is a co-conspiritor,
If he knew of it and verified statements by others to the courts that were false he is guilty of sworn falsification.
John Say, don’t you get tired of being wrong?
Elias led the historic legal defense against the Trump campaign’s challenges, winning 64 out of 65 lawsuits. His firm is not suffering a losing streak; it is currently winning high-stakes election battles across the country.
The Elias Law Group is a nationwide practice that routinely litigates in both state and federal courts. His firm is actively litigating 92 election-related cases across 42 different states. Its footprint is explicitly national, not localized to Washington, D.C.
Elias has consistently beaten Trump-aligned legal challenges, including the most recent ones. On November 1, 2026, Elias and his firm secured a major victory when a federal court completely dismissed a Department of Justice lawsuit aimed at blocking Alaska from certifying its U.S. Senate election results. The Trump administration’s DOJ lost that case; Elias and his clients won.
The idea that he “hides” in friendly D.C. courts is a myth. His recent high-profile victory regarding the certification fight took place directly in the federal court system for the District of Alaska, a jurisdiction he engaged with directly and won.
There is absolutely no active criminal investigation, indictment, or pending trial against Marc Elias in Alaska or anywhere else.
Making stuff up John? Come on. You’re better than that.
Wow-looky looky ANON has severe TDS
“Another victory for Elias Law Group.”
That was the CA AG’s case, not Elias. But nice try.
OK all, that was fun, going back and forth, so here is my Polymarket/Kalshi bet on this, ha ha:
I bet that Higby and O’Keefe plead to lesser charge misrepresenting identity with correlative fine. (I vacillate on the number of true “victims” which could dictate whether a misdemeanor vs. felony charge)
Anyone else?
Sorry lin – not a chance. They actually did nothing wrong. They were very careful NOT to assert THEIR identity. This is all on video.
They also have video of their own training before hand that documents what they intended to do and how they intended to stay within the law.
Again ALL of this is on video. The left has gone after OKeefe for this before, he KNOWS the law, and he knows how to stay within it.
John, they used someone else’s identity. In Minnesota that is a felony.
The problem is the did NOT stay within the law. That’s the problem. Why you defend criminals is baffling.
O’Keefe has been found guilty of violating the law before.
“They were very careful NOT to assert THEIR identity. This is all on video“
Because they were using someone else’s identity without permission and in presenting themselves as someone else the very act of doing so they committed a felony. They tried to commit voter fraud by impersonating someone else.
What I don’t understand is that this ballot double was plainly in the news months ago, why wait until the last few weeks to make a stink about it.? Who was not paying attention?
This has been fought out in the courts for months.
Further DOJ has had an investigation into this for Months.
It came out now because NYT went public with it.
then why hadn’t a conservative paper pushed this item months ago? I saw a small clip of it a while back and would presume that the news would make it an item to follow.
I remember the Eric Sevareid interviews of Eric Hofer in the early 1960s. One illuminating exchange was the story Hofer told of a Communist agitator and a self-serve newspaper stand ( which used to be common). The early version of these stands worked on the basis of trust. If you wanted a paper you took a copy and simply left a nickel. It was possible to take a copy without leaving a coin, but most of the customers chose to leave a coin. Hofer saw the Communist agitator destroy the coin box so that no money could be left behind. The explanation occurred to Hofer: the newspaper stand, like many institutions in a free country, works only if citizens trust one another. The best way to destroy a free society is to undermine that trust. Marc Elias understands this reasoning very well. No trust, no free institutions. Instead of trust, we will be held together by fear of a central state using propaganda and terror to keep people in line.
For hardcore leftists (80% of the Dem party), the stated issue is never the real issue, it is just the flavor of the day. The real issue is always the Revolution.
And your evidence for that is….?
Even you claim that the majority of Democrats are favorable to Socialism.
Quit contradiction yourself.
It is not fear mongering to accuse socialists of being socialist.
It is not fear mongering to accuse communists of being communist.
It is not fear mongering to calim that a majority of democrats would vote for a socialist.
EVEN YOU argue exactly those things when it is benefcial to you.
You do not get to have it both ways.
You can not claim democrats are not significantly socialist while at the same time arguing that democrats are significantly socialist.
Make up your mind – If you are going to defend socialism – it is not fear mongering to accuse you of socialism.
The hardcore leftists (80% of the Dem party), the liberals, the RINOs, and the DSA are direct and mortal enemies of the American thesis of freedom and self-reliance, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, actual Americans, and America.
Presumably, the genuine Americans are deliberating in the Green Dragon Tavern as we speak.
Good point.
Good example. Same with orchard culls in the US. Good keepers of the orchards would sell lugs of culls which were really marvelous for $2.50 per lug. They packed the fruit in boxes and a buyer returned the box at next visit. The money was left in a box. Then people in trucks began filling their trucks with no pay, taking the fruit to outdoor markets as a sale.
The orchard owner shut the stand down, Edward. That was not so long ago. The shut down came in with Obama.
