Shas spiritual leader Rabbi Ovadia Yosef called for a lethal plague on the head of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and the Palestinian people — shortly before the start of negotiations with the Palestinians.
Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Sunday distanced himself from Yosef’s comments. A spokeman said that praying for death and plague on the Palestinian people (and specifically its president) does not “represent the views of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu or the Israeli government.” That is reassuring. It makes negotiations a bit awkward when you are waiting for a plague to kill the guy across the table and all of the men, women and children in his country.
According to reports, Yosef used his weekly sermon to call for death of Abbas and all Palestinians — praying for “the Lord strike them down.”
Yosef has been known to make other shocking statements, including his recent denouncing of the secular education system and calling some secular people “fools” who behave like “animals.” He later added that parents who send their children to secular schools will be punished in both this world and the afterlife.

How can you pretend that this is not what Israel is all about?
Why do people expect Palestinians to stop fighting for their right to live in their homes? Palestinians, like all human beings want their dignity. They want to be able to visit their relatives in other cities and towns. They want to be able to close their homes to soldiers invading them. They are not asking for much, these oppressed people are simply fighting for their rights as human beings!

re FFLEO … he wrote in a much earlier post that his house is mostly solar powered (or some such alternative energy source) and given the heat and location of his home he has to ration the cooling so probably won’t be posting much during the day … he occasionally posts late at night.

So every time some Muslim crackpot outfit imposes biblical punishment on some schmuck there is invariably a post about how backward and oppressive Muslims are. Can we get a repost of one of those things with a find-n-replace Islam/Jewish edit?
It would save us all a lot of time if someone just created a template with blank fields for the religion so we could use it to paint all believers of today’s morons-acting-badly-in-the-name-of-their-particular-kosmic-muffin sin.

Girlfriend’s probably got the poor dude on some kind of cleansing diet or whatever and he’s jonesing. Get him some oreos and a doob and he’ll be back to his old mellow self. Go over to Ramallah and score himself some baba ganoush and halvah.
