Egyptian Police Drag Blogger From Internet Cafe and Allegedly Beat Him To Death on Alexandria Street

The European Union has called for an investigation into the death of Khaled Said, 28, at the hands of Egyptian police, who pulled him out of an Internet cafe.

The police insist that Said choked to death on a bag of narcotics he swallowed when he saw them.

Witnesses, however, say that police beat him to death outside the cafe in Alexandria.

Prosecutors insist that two autopsies confirm the police account but the Europeans are calling for an independent examination. They note critical differences in the findings in the two prior examinations: “In view of these discrepancies, EU Heads of Mission welcome the declared readiness of the Egyptian authorities to conduct a judicial inquiry into this death and look forward to the inquiry being conducted impartially, transparently and swiftly in a way that will credibly resolve the discrepancies.”

  1. I do believe all the concepts you’ve presented to your post. They are really convincing and will definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are too quick for novices. Could you please extend them a bit from next time? Thank you for the post.

  2. An outstanding share! I have just forwarded this onto a coworker who had been doing a little
homework on this. And he actually ordered me lunch
because I stumbled upon it for him… lol.
So allow me to reword this…. Thanks for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending the time
to talk about this issue here on your internet site.

  3. Hello, i think that i noticed you visited my site so i came to go back the
choose?.I’m trying to to find issues to enhance my site!I guess its ok to make use of some of your concepts!!

  4. Good day! Do you know if they make any plugins to protect against hackers?

I’m kinda paranoid about losing everything I’ve worked
    hard on. Any tips?

  5. Jill, Thanks for the ACLU information about the Spyfiles hub.

In a related article (Spyfiles. Now With 100% More Spying!), the author states:

“…we remain determined to prevent the emergence of a domestic secret police apparatus in this country. And we’re hoping Spyfiles will help that cause.”

The “domestic secret police apparatus” is already with us. Some of the current counterterrorism practices are obscene and cruel. (I’m guessing the the CIA’s torture psychologists weighed in when they were being designed.)

  8. Tootie, you really are filled with hate.

Try to see it another way…

  9. what was it rush limbaugh said “i want obama to fail”. he wants the president of the united states to fail. damn what it does to the country, just make obama fail.

that’s how much republicans love america

  10. Republicans are stupid fools, but they can be trusted to love America and want her preserved in the main as she was inherited from our founding.

  11. Blousie:

Democrats are what they are, which is generally evil. But that doesn’t mean that they are to be hated. Republicans are stupid fools, but they can be trusted to love America and want her preserved in the main as she was inherited from our founding. Even though they unwittingly do things to destroy her like promote Wilsonian and Truman Doctrines of international interventionism which cause blow-backs like 9-11. Democrats, on the other hand intentionally injure America, hate her, hate her history, hate western civilization, hate Christian, hate our culture, and hate Christians.

Democrats excuse all their hatreds and prefer to highlight what they believe is right-wing hatred which is usually right-wing fringe conduct applied to everyone on the right.

Most republicans do not hate homosexuals. Homosexuals and democrats like to spread the lie that they do and create a frothing maniacal hysteria about it in order to justify their own deep seated, perverse, ruthless, and vicious hatred of republicans, conservatives, and Christians.

This comes natural to the intolerant democrat.

Most republicans, Christians, and conservatives have homosexual family members whom they love and don’t want hurt by society. But at the same time feel they ought to stand up for what they think is right by claiming that such conduct is wrong.

The bigots are the ones who say people don’t have the right (and are evil) to have this opinion. The bigots are the ones who punish people for having it and making them pariahs and hate-mongers.

    Blouise,

I thought the part about the economy was particularly poignant also. There’s a lot in that interview and I’m glad you liked it.

    =================================================================

Yes, indeed, very poignant. It is obvious that the major media outlets are content to push the idea that the very real American anger against the many “social injustice” issues which affect each and every one of us to some degree or another is only centered in the “teabagger movement”.

Government and media are only fooling themselves. The anger is palpable and wide spread throughout the populace.

  13. Killing bloggers is simply the 21st century version of killing reporters. It is a practice which will remain forever popular with governments fearful of the publication of the truth. It would more readily be practiced by corporate interests as well, but for the risk of discovery and prosecution.

  14. Off topic and maybe it was covered by others in the last couple of days, but I’ve been out of town.

If the Supreme Court just ruled that Federal guns laws supercede any states’ attempt to curtail gun use, how does Arizona think state law trumps federal immigration laws One wonders when AZ or someother state taking over teabaggers will pass a state law against espionage?

Republicans are lowlife hypocrites who deserve nothing but Amercans’ disgust and disdain.

  15. Hoover? Anyone? Hoover?

Mr. McCarthy? Anyone? Has anyone seen McCarthy?
