Australian Public Schools Teaching Humans and Dinosaurs Co-Existed

Australia is facing a controversy that is all too familiar to Americans. Fundamentalists in state schools are teaching children that humans and dinosaurs lived together and Noah brought dinosaur eggs on to the Ark.

Children are also taught that Adam and Eve were not eaten by dinosaurs “because they were under a protective spell.”

This is consistent with Palintology — the new science advanced by Sarah Palin — which insists that man and dinosaur must have co-existed despite carbon dating and simple logic.

I have been to those places, Ugh! The only big city in the Midwest you would ever want to visit is Chitown.

  2. “The only reason that GeoI became a Texan was to escape inheritance taxes in Maine, where he did own property while director of the CIA”

Do you have a source for that. I cannot say I am a big Bush fan, but would like the truth.

It will take time. However, that little thing in the middle of your face is all that is needed. Fresh sea food does not have any smell, period. You can easily tell if any seafood is contaminated by smelling it.

Her shrimp probably came from Thailand and was tough and tasteless. If you want good shrimp, buy it online from firms that sell Gulf shrimp. Frozen seafood, which has been coated with water, is just as good as fresh seafood. Most inland stores with seafood counters simply defrost frozen seafood. Find out where the frozen fish is and thaw it yourself. You will avoid the amine smell of old seafood.

  4. … they are setting up the poker chips … I’ll sneak in one last post … yep, we have a grand ol’ Federal Courthouse bldg. right on the lake … or close to it … and the Hall still rocks and one of my good buddies was United States Attorney but I will refrain from saying which district or during which administration because … and you can’t fool me … you’re an apple pie

  5. I went to Toledo to visit my sister when she was in graduate school and her husband was doing his residency. I could not wait to get out. Columbus is bad too.

  8. Blousie,

There’s nothing wrong with playing in the mud 😉

Enjoy the sangria and good luck at poker! I wish I was there – haven’t had a good poker game in ages – or a sangria for that matter…

  9. Company has arrived … they come bearing a pitcher of sangria … a few hands of poker are on the agenda …….

  10. Swarthmore mom,

They finally have a use for a 1962 invention called Gorilla Glass. It will as I understand it revolutionize TV screens. It is almost paper thin and it 3 to 4 times the strenght of the strongest glass made today. It is stated that it will at 30 to 60 dollars a TV but with prices decreasing how will the consumer really be able to tell.

I think I may have been told I read too much. But then again, I am not a Republican and can read…..I think…

  11. Blouise I was on the computer way too much today. We are having the heatwave we did not have in July so I did not go out much. My daughter is in San Francisco so it is rather quiet.

  12. Swarthmore mom,

You’re welcome … it was difficult to remain silent but I employed great discipline!

  13. … AY, have you noticed that after all the serious boys and girls go home you and I just hang around and play in the mud?

You know, like, we don’t clean it up or anything … we just kind of make pies and scribble on the sidewalk …….

  14. Thank you Blouise. Thanks for the stock tip, AY. I remember when Corning was a 100 dollar stock before the nasdaq crash.

  15. AY,

“Swarthmore mom is capable of handling herself and to be told who she must be for or against …” -yes, but today I thought she was particularly chic

“Delay who?” – how soon a fickle public forgets its native rat slayer

“None of the Bush’s were born here …”- that’s not what Tootie says … Job 30:7

“I do remember on a recent trip in des moines a Taco John’s at a Kum and Go Gas Station …” Are you the one who ran out without paying? No, his name was John.

“Watch the Rangers Bankruptcy sale. ” … I’m in Cleveland … we got screwed by Modell and LeBron … you wanna talk about pain?!

As to Cheney … he’s been nothing but a machine for years … I wonder if he believes in an afterlife ….

  16. Blouise,

Watch the Rangers Bankruptcy sale. Tom Hicks who is responsible for W’s rise to shame is hurting and bleeding badly, financially. He thought he was going to walk away with a clean 70 million, while stiffing creditors to the tune of 175 million, net sale to Ryan and Greenberg. Also competing was Jim Crane, of Houston but was not considered a threat to the sale.

Since that deal was made, Mark Cuban, who owns the NBA team here has put a bid in for the Rangers as well. He is also a creditor of the Rangers and Hicks that was going to get stiffed. He is capable of buying the Rangers by writing a check. I think that he want the NHL Team that hicks owns and that is why he is squeezing Hicks Nuts so tightly…

As Swathmore mom pointed out the Bush’s were never Texans other than Political Night mares….None of the Bush’s were born here, which is ok by me. The only reason that GeoI became a Texan was to escape inheritance taxes in Maine, where he did own property while director of the CIA…

Swarthmore mom is capable of handling herself and to be told who she must be for or against usually rubs her grain the wrong way. Like cutting meat its tenderest when you slice with the grain and very tough when you don’t….

I read today that Cheney was in the hospital at age 69 since July 14 with heart complications. I guess I was not aware that he had a heart. I learn something everyday. I suppose he is afraid that he may have to meet his maker and he would not like the heat. I wonder if Buddha would sell him a basket with a value added price, after all it could be just for Cheney. He may be needing it soon…

    Delay who?

I do remember on a recent trip in des moines a Taco John’s at a Kum and Go Gas Station….Did I see you there? Oh no, you said today….that rules that out….
