Randy Quaid and Wife Seek Canadian Asylum To Evade “Hollywood Star-Whackers”

Oscar-nominee Randy Quaid, 60, and his wife Evi, 47, have appeared in Canada with a novel claim for refugee protection — claiming that someone is killing off Quaid’s friends and that the couple needs protection from “Hollywood star-whackers.” Evi has a much better sense of taking a good mugshot.

They are to be released from custody on $10,000 bail each pending resolution of their refugee protection in Canada during an immigration hearing on Friday.

They were arrested in Vancouver on immigration violations and said that they fear for their lives after nine close friends of Quaid have recently been “murdered” including actors David Carradine, Heath Ledger and Chris Penn. Carradine was found hanging by a rope in a hotel room in Thailand in a possible accident during a sexual act. Ledger overdosed on a mix of prescription medications in 2008 and Penn died of heart disease in 2006.

That is not the type of stuff that usually makes for an asylum claim. On the other hand, this may be an effort to avoid a criminal charge or immediate deportations — allowing the country to deny the asylum request after a hearing and to deport at a later date. As asylum claimants, they can remain in the country pending resolution of the claims. What is clear is that these claims make for a better movie script than an asylum claim.

  1. SwM,

And they did, yes they did….Now the World Series…starts Wednesday…might just be taken by the Giants…4 to 5 games max..I am a strong American League supporter..but..I think the team is better than the Rangers…so we will see…deal is to bet my instincts not my feelings and the Giants have the upper hand…the salary disparity in that team alone is from 450K a year to almost 18million…it takes a love of the game to know that amd still play…not that I would ever bet on a professional sporting event…nod, nod, wink, wink…I did lose once when the Yankees took it in 4….so….I could be wrong….

Billy boy…hell he couldn’t be more corrupt that his nice daddy…who made Ross Perot the first Drug Csar and then Head of the Texas Education, who better suited…than that cheap bastard, he made his wife buy a used Bucik… but he had to be in his late 60’s early 70’s if my math is correct….

Oh it looks like The Giants may take it tonight….

  4. AY Did the tornado come close to your house? I was reading about Bill Clements’ son being found in a grave in Athens,Tx. after a shoot out. There are some strange things that happen in Texas.

  5. if there is a star whacker out there just remember these two words, Daniel Baldwin.

  6. The Quaids are desperately trying to get some of crazy town light shined on the Salahis to reflect on themselves. For what purpose, one can only speculate, but I am thinking some type of substance abuse is behind it all.

Here’s a script idea for Randy’s next movie, two couples, soused after a long night in a bar, embark on a friendly competition to see which couple can score the most freebies from gullible merchants, innkeepers and property owners, while inflicting the mot abuse or damage upon property.
