While every snow flurry or cool snap is often cited as evidence of the folly of “global warming” by critics, scientists at the NASA’s Goddard Institute of Space Studies have released data showing that 2010 now ranks as the hottest climate year on record.
The combined land-ocean temperature readings from NASA’s Goddard Institute indicate that 2010 has surpassed what it identified as the previous warmest climate year, 2005.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration data shows that 1998 was the warmest year on record with 2005 close behind. The findings have been released after another failure to reach a significant reductions in emissions in the Cancun summit.
Nations again refused to make the cuts necessary to prevent global temperatures from rising 2 degrees Celsius, or 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit above pre-industrial levels by 2100.
This report comes with the disclosure that a top FOX executive ordered correspondents not to cite global warming statistics and to question the basis for climate change claims.

This works just like the theory of evolution, the origin of the universe, life on earth, life on other planets, etc. They’re unfalsifiable. Since the processes are allegedly occurring over millions of years, or happened billions of years ago, or haven’t yet been seen, no one can positively assert the truth of the theory. So, when it’s hot, the global warming people say, “I told you so.” When it’s cold, they say that one winter means nothing. Vice versa granted) So it’s down to a shouting match, political contributions, research grants provided to scientists who they know will arrive at the conclusions they’re being paid to prove, etc.

UK’s Lord Christopher Monckton, a former science advisor to Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, claimed House Democrats have refused to allow him to appear alongside former Vice President Al Gore at a high profile global warming hearing on Friday April 24, 2009 at 10am in Washington. Monckton told Climate Depot that the Democrats rescinded his scheduled joint appearance at the House Energy and Commerce hearing on Friday. Monckton said he was informed that he would not be allowed to testify alongside Gore when his plane landed from England Thursday afternoon.
“The House Democrats don’t want Gore humiliated, so they slammed the door of the Capitol in my face,” Monckton told Climate Depot in an exclusive interview. “They are cowards.”
According to Monckton, Rep. Joe Barton (R-Texas), Ranking Member on the Energy & Commerce Committee, had invited him to go head to head with Gore and testify at the hearing on Capitol Hill Friday. But Monckton now says that when his airplane from London landed in the U.S. on Thursday, he was informed that the former Vice-President had “chickened out” and there would be no joint appearance. Gore is scheduled to testify on Friday to the Subcommittee on Energy and the Environment’s fourth day of hearings on the American Clean Energy and Security Act of 2009. The hearing will be held in 2123 Rayburn House Office Building.
According to Monckton, House Democrats told the Republican committee staff earlier this week that they would be putting forward an unnamed ‘celebrity’ as their star witness Friday at a multi-panel climate hearing examining the House global warming bill. The “celebrity” witness turned out to be Gore. Monckton said the GOP replied they would respond to the Democrats’ “celebrity” with an unnamed “celebrity” of their own. But Monckton claims that when the Democrats were told who the GOP witness would be, they refused to allow him to testify alongside Gore.

Earth’s orbit around and orientation toward the Sun change over spans of many thousands of years. In turn, these changing “orbital mechanics” force climate to change because they change where and how much sunlight reaches Earth. (Please see for more details.) Thus, changing Earth’s exposure to sunlight forces climate to change. According to scientists’ models of Earth’s orbit and orientation toward the Sun indicate that our world should be just beginning to enter a new period of cooling — perhaps the next ice age.

The cold weather isn’t just killing crops, it’s also taking its toll on marine life.
Dead fish at the Marina at Cocoa Villiage are washing ashore in numbers too large to count.
“One of the local fisherman said that it’s the catfish. And the water’s just too cold for them. And they’re dying,” said Cocoa resident Lisa Michalski.
Michalski has only lived in Florida for three months, and said she wasn’t expecting such cold weather. She said she first spotted the dying fish on Tuesday, after a night of freezing temperatures.

Many reports have surfaced of snook and other native Florida fish dying in a deep freeze that struck the normally temperate state this month.
Pete Frezza, an ecologist for Audubon of Florida, told the Miami Herald that he has found more than 400 snook and 400 tarpon dead along the waters of the Everglades National Park last week. From Ponce de Leon Bay down across Florida Bay to the Florida Keys – day after day, dead fish kept popping up.
“I was so shook up, I couldn’t sleep,” said Frezza. “Millions and millions of pilchards, threadfin herring, mullet. Ladyfish took it really bad. Whitewater Bay is just a graveyard.”

The last two years around the world record numbers of animals and people have died because of the cold but James Hansen of NASA continues to falsify data to prove he’s right about global warming.

I think you both understand what it means to accept something based on faith. I think both of you will concede that climate science is outside of your areas of expertise, and that you are relying on the conclusions of others (whom you consider trustworthy) as the basis of your opinion. I see no problem with that. We all do it all the time. I don’t even have a problem with you becoming an advocate for that position. Standing up for what you believe is the right thing to do.
Here’s when I see that advocacy to be a problem:
Calling those who don’t believe “deniers”. (If only the word “acceptors” had the same negative conotation.)
“are you a whore or just a slut?” -Why? Because advocating (paid or not) a different point of view is unacceptable?
There are many things that I believe to be true, based on information that I received from trusted sources. However, I would find it rude to belittle you simply because you don’t hold the same beliefs or don’t find my sources to be acceptable.
I have taken the position that we can have a positive or negative impact on our environment. I have taken steps that I think will improve the environment. I did so with my own money.

That’s why I refuse to belittle those who don’t share my opinion (on anything). Using intimidation to encourage others to accept my opinion is wrong. It’s a bully mentality. If the science is good, more people will come to accept it. Until that time, telling people how stupid they are because they don’t believe that “orange” is the greatest color ever, isn’t going to work.
I just don’t think the scientific evidence is sufficient to force others to help pay for what I think is the right thing to do.
