2010 To Be Hottest Year On Record

While every snow flurry or cool snap is often cited as evidence of the folly of “global warming” by critics, scientists at the NASA’s Goddard Institute of Space Studies have released data showing that 2010 now ranks as the hottest climate year on record.

The combined land-ocean temperature readings from NASA’s Goddard Institute indicate that 2010 has surpassed what it identified as the previous warmest climate year, 2005.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration data shows that 1998 was the warmest year on record with 2005 close behind. The findings have been released after another failure to reach a significant reductions in emissions in the Cancun summit.

Nations again refused to make the cuts necessary to prevent global temperatures from rising 2 degrees Celsius, or 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit above pre-industrial levels by 2100.

This report comes with the disclosure that a top FOX executive ordered correspondents not to cite global warming statistics and to question the basis for climate change claims.

  1. The scientist behind the bogus claim in a Nobel Prize-winning UN report that Himalayan glaciers will have melted by 2035 last night admitted it was included purely to put political pressure on world leaders.

    Dr Murari Lal also said he was well aware the statement, in the 2007 report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), did not rest on peer-reviewed scientific research.

  4. Bill Nye studied mechanical engineering at Cornell University where he graduated with a bachelor of science degree in 1977.

    Before Nye began his career in television, he worked at Boeing where he developed a hydraulic pressure resonance suppressor still used in the 747. Later he worked as a consultant in the aeronautics industry.

    That makes him a helluva lot more of a scientist than a surfing cook with spotty (at best) understanding of math, physics and chemistry.

    Come on now.

    You can’t say you’re bdaman the science guy because you don’t know jack squat about science except what appeals to your confirmation bias.

    Bill Nye has nothing to do with it.

    He says no statistical warming last 15 years.

    that the temperature curve has reached a plateau. “There can be no argument about that,” he says. “We have to face that fact.”

    What more do you want.I given you at least a half dozen instances where the IPCC had to retract claims.

    Activists who planned to shut down the UK’s second largest power station have been found guilty of conspiring to commit aggravated trespass.

    The defendants called expert witnesses, including a Nasa scientist, to argue their actions were necessary in the fight against climate change.

    That NASA Scientist was Hansen. He’s already been arrested twice and he’s flying around testifying in court cases for activist like the above case. He encourages others to do the same.

    Now ask yourself, is this the type of behavior a scientist should encourage and should he be flying around on tax payers dime testifying for activist who disrupt.

    as far as the scientists denying climate change lying or mistaken, since they seem to be vastly outnumbered it’s reasonable to say that that it’s likely they are mistaken in their analysis but I don’t believe that’s the case for some of them and I’m not sure the most vocal of the deniers actually believe what they are saying.

    what say you? thousands of scientists from around the world, Hawking, Tyson, Bill Nye the science guy are they lying or what?

    I have only seen him post about the weather and he has a surf report, so I think his interest is legitimate.

    I got news for you though, there are very many people who think Global Warming is a scam. But it is rather funny to see this method used to shut down debate.

    If it doesnt match someones world view, it must be sock puppets.
