Packers Beat Bears Bears Decide Not To Go To Dallas

That is the best I do right now. It is hard for me to express my feelings at this time of utter darkness and despair.

This is the end
Beautiful friend
This is the end
My only friend, the end

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
I’ll never look into your eyes…again

Can you picture what will be
So limitless and free
Desperately in need…of some…stranger’s hand
In a…desperate land

I will get through this . . .

Denial: The Packers could not have won. We are still in the running.

Anger: Why us? How could this happen to Chicago?

Bargaining: Just let us play five more minutes and we will never make another cheesehead joke.

Depression: Why go on if the Packers go to Dallas?

Acceptance: It’s going to be okay. After all, they still have to go back and live in Green Bay.

  1. Mespo,
I would imagine that a high percentage of pro athletes are sexual pigs. With athletic talent comes a sense of entitlement and people doing ones bidding that goes back to HS. If I was that picky I wouldn’t watch any organized sports and unfortunately I enjoy most of them. However, the description of what “Big Ben” allegedly did disgusted me beyond most other stories of athletes gone wrong. This is of course my subjective evaluation, but then rooting for a particular team is also subjective.

  2. Mike S:

“While I like the Steelers organization, especially the Rooney’s, I can’t possibly root for them. “Big Ben” is a sexist pig and I don’t want him to have the “exoneration” an SB win would give him. Go Pack!”

    ******************

Find me a team with none and I’ll sign up to root that day!

  3. The Jets played well in the second half making the game exciting until almost the end. I would have preferred a different outcome, but I’m satisfied with their season and their QB. While I like the Steelers organization, especially the Rooney’s, I can’t possibly root for them. “Big Ben” is a sexist pig and I don’t want him to have the “exoneration” an SB win would give him. Go Pack!

  4. Buddha,

I think one of my favorite KC moments was when my favorite Yankee, Graig Nettles, kicked the crap out of George Brett. Well, to the extent that Munson let him.

    😉

  5. “Bears’ fans can now join the rest of America–not in Wisconsin– and root for the Steelers who are 6-1 in Super Bowls.

No brag — just fact.” (mespo)

    All brag – no fact.
