The world has been given another atrocity committed in the name of Islam and Sharia law. The video below (warning graphic content) shows a young couple being stoned to death by a crowd of men. The woman, Siddqa, 25, had been sold into an arranged marriage for $9000. That is perfectly fine under Sharia law. After she ran away with her lover, she and the man were sentenced to be stoned to death as adulterers.
A Taliban spokesman stated “Anyone who knows about Islam knows that stoning is in the Koran, and that it is Islamic law. There are people who call it inhuman – but in doing so they insult the Prophet. They want to bring foreign thinking to this country.” The good old-Taliban thinking is evident in the video as Siddqa is buried to her waist and stoned. She somehow survives the stoning and is dispatched by a man with an AK-47 who screams “Allahu Akbar.”
The man, Khayyam, is then stoned to death with some men laughing as they show their chosen stones. Khayyam was already married and had two children when he eloped to Pakistan. Polygamy is common in this part of the world.
Hundreds watched this disgusting scene in Dashte Archi, Afghanistan — an area controlled by the Taliban.

Vile and senseless; what we see here is a gleeful hate far beyond the reach of any civilizing force. The deaths, while horrendous and excruciating, were tickets out of hell; perhaps these two are the lucky ones.
“A Taliban spokesman stated ‘Anyone who knows about Islam knows that stoning is in the Koran, and that it is Islamic law. There are people who call it inhuman – but in doing so they insult the Prophet. They want to bring foreign thinking to this country.'”
No. By calling stoning people to death, we are not insulting the Prophet as inhuman. To be clear, we’re insulting retrograde semi-literate morons who use religion as a rationale for violence as being inhuman. Like the Taliban or “Christians” who kill doctors who perform the legal procedure of abortion.
Aside from the ugliness of the murders themselves, what speaks of more vulgarity than the outright joy on the crazed faces of the perpetrators?
“In individuals, insanity is rare; but in groups, parties, nations and epochs, it is the rule.” (Friedrich Nietzsche)
I will very probably go to my own grave, completely baffled why any country would continue to flush lives and national treasure down the miasma of the Middle East. Were I anointed King of the World, the trillions and the lives would be put to far different uses within our own borders.
I lost my religion the day I was smacked in the face with the realization that there is nothing at all “holy” about the Holy Land.
Jon,
Im sorry I have to for the most part disagree with you…Other than the aberration of Communism for at least the past two millennia religion and especially state sponsored religion has been the cause of more suffering and misery, READ a history book…any history book they are filled with the terrors of human controled religion..
jon
think blaming religion is too narrow of an explanation. In my view, the issue is not religion, but a broader belief that the individual belongs to the collective, and therefore must submit at any cost to the collective’s every whim. There are plenty of secularists that also believe this, though their “religion” is statism
bullshit
how does “her family sold her in an arranged marrage” become anything other than slavery through religion. the “collective” didn’t sell her, her family did.
i guess the only thing that matters now is, was the nine thousand paid upfront and does it have to be repaid. maybe they have another daughter they can substitute.
All of the organized Religions have been perverted they are all a source of evil and ignorance division and abuse..
Islam is guilty of many many acts of inhumanity world wide currently it is the worse apparently but as some say, Satan rules today in all the churches…
Jon:
good call on that. Can you expand your thought?
AY,
those bar folks in OK probably shot at you because you were from Texas!
Mike A.,
Fledgling democracy is an interesting choice of terms! How about adding the word “failed” in front of those two words?
Ah, yes. Afghanistan is the illiterate obscenity that first the Bush, and now the Obama, administrations still insist upon calling a “fledgling democracy.”
rafflaw,
I have been shot at….once at a bar in Oklahoma…in the 70’s….
“this is what happens when religion is unchecked and allowed total control over people…”

Whatever the cause, my heart goes out to these people.
AY,
You were lucky. In Texas they just would have shot you!
Damn….and to think this could of happened to me while in college….dating disasters 101…..thank goodness I was in Texas….
this is what happens when religion is unchecked and allowed total control over people… These same kind of atrocities were common when the Christian church used to control peoples lives.. and I dare say would be again if they could take control again….Ahh for the good ole day….stoning, burning at the stake, the rack and so many more godly ideas.
Wow! That video was disturbing. You would think they would at least make them throw the stones from a short distance away, but in the case of the male, people were standing over him. This isn’t punishment, it is a vile sport. Disgusting.
