On the Lam: Indiana Prosecutor Resigns After Suggesting That Wisconsin Governor Fake Attack To Frame Unions

Indiana prosecutor Carlos Lam has resigned in a bizarre scandal where he admitted to sending an email to Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker suggesting that he get a supporter to attack him to frame the unions and discredit their cause. While first denying that he sent the email, Lam eventually fessed up and resigned. Indiana prosecutors seem to be a bit obsessed with the union protests in Wisconsin. If you recall, we previously followed the case of Jeffrey Cox, a deputy attorney general, who was fired after reportedly suggesting the use of live ammunition against protesters.

The Johnson County Prosecutor sent a Feb. 19 email suggesting “the situation in WI presents a good opportunity for what’s called a ‘false flag’ operation. . . . If you could employ an associate who pretends to be sympathetic to the unions’ cause to physically attack you (or even use a firearm against you), you could discredit the public unions.”

He reportedly lied when confronted with the email and said that someone had hacked into his account. However, there does not appear to be any move to charge him criminally with making false statements to investigators or making a false claim of a criminal act.

  1. That is an older photo of Carlos Lam. I am sure he does not want a RECENT photo of him in the press…LOL!

See more about this at http://www.crooksandliars.com

  2. I am not surprised at all because it is JOHNSON COUNTY, the most Judically corrupt county along with Morgan County, in the entire Midwest. This BS would never happen in CA or anyplace else that I know of. Good old Podunk Indiana Corruption at work again.
That is a much younger photo of Carlos Lam BTW, which I understand that he would not want to be seen in the press over this. I am certain there is MUCH more than (this) act of corruption and crime that he is involved in. He said in a letter to Governor SCOTT WALKER of Wis, “I think the situation in WI presents a good opportunity for what’s called a “False Flag Operation”. If you could employ an associate who pretends to be sympathetic to the unions’ cause to physically attack you(or even use a firearm against you), You could discredit the public unions'”………Now this is down right CRIMINAL!!! This man should be disbarred. Makes me wonder how many times before LAM has used the “False Flag Operation” in his dirty dealings in the COURT ROOM.????
They all work together in IND, just as you see Brad Cooper defending LAM now…LOL! They BOTH should be fired and JAILED.

The other Idiot Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Cox suggested they murder the protesters in WI????? What kind of RFD NECK Right Wing HEATHENS are these people of Authority in IND ??? This is why I left that sewer!
Trust me they all work together to throw cases, exchange cases, take kick backs etc…They set people up and pull underhanded acts EVERYDAY. The Johnson County Police, Attorneys, Judges and Prosecutors should all be investigated. They all work together in their dirty work and it spans to Morgan County, Brown County and Monroe Counties.
Lets not forget the recent misconduct of Detective Bryan Burton, Franklin Police Chief and the Franklin Mayor in an article that was finally released March 1. Franklin is in JONNSON COUNTY. It was released Oct 23 2010 that alleged “Ghost employment and public misconduct” By Mayor Fred Paris of Franklin and cronie/ street superintendent appointee Steve Compton. Anyone can find this information by doing an online search.

I sure hope CNN picks this story up. I think the WORLD needs to know.

Come on now LAM,AUGER,KAMISH,COOPER,ROBERTS,O’ROUKE,TALLEY and the rest of you. Don’t be made at me. I am just holding up for free speech, good reporting and of course the unions.

Am I under arrest or am I free to go?. I guess I will GO, while you people go on pretending to (protect and serve)…LOL!

  3. Try yelling “Fire!” in a crowded theatre there, Auntie. Or maybe “Go Browns” at a Steeler game. You’ll then get an idea of the boundaries of free speech. (mespo)

    ======================================

Or “Go Steelers” at a Brown’s game …

  4. What we have here is a perfect example of “arrested development” (a form of mental disorder consisting of severe mental impairment, as a lack of intelligence … UK Mental Health Act of 1983)

It is interesting to note that Lam finishes his email with the valediction, “God Bless,”

All of this came to light because Wisconsin Watch (Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism) obtained, through an open records law suit settlement, tens of thousands of documents. Lam’s email was within a folder marked “Pro”.

Indiana Rules of Professional Conduct state that “conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation” amount to professional misconduct. They are the rules to which lawyers are held accountable by the Indiana lawyer discipline system. But Lam’s boss, Johnson County Prosecutor Brad Cooper, adamantly defended Lam, whom he has known for most of his career.

  7. I’m sure it was all said in jest. Right. Bag this guy’s law license for utter lack of legal ethics. Take his human card for callousness to his fellow man.

  8. Indiana has been a conservative state for a while now, but it seems that they have gone over the edge. Why isn’t this guy being brought up on charges for lying to the investigators? He looks like he is 15 years old. Was he driving to work or was his mom dropping him off?

  9. I love the smell of failed false flag attacks and a resignation in the morning.

    Smells just like . . . hushpuppies.

  10. When I did a fellowship at IU in the late 80s, this county was particularly notable for its Klan presence.

  11. AY:

Describes my governor to a tee, here in Jeresy:

  12. This does not surprise me in the least….I know not all Prosecutors are dirty but the mentality of some are US against the Defendant…..

  13. Recently on the Randi Rhodes radio program, I heard an interesting observation about the relationship between capitalism and democracy. Within democracy there is room for capitalism, but judging by the actions of these anti-union Libertarian corportists, there is no space for democracy. This is the way Royalists think, but in the absence of royalty in America, there is no doubt that their efforts are to destroy America’s democracy and replace it with an oligarchy. It’s treasonous.

These headlong attacks on unions and teachers, removal of rights to negotiations, the take-over of entire city goverments and school boards, the stealing of and/or taxxing of pensions, distribution of state wealth to corporation via tax breaks etc. have been perperated by people running on an alleged small or anti-big government platform.

I can’t think of a single thing Republicans have done for the American PEOPLE (the ones of whom, by whom and for whom our government was created) in the last 30 years. Anyone? Anyone?
