  1. eniobob and Lotta,
It was interesting to read Rep. Cantor’s cold comments about refusing aid to the victims of this horrible tornado. He is a poor excuse for a human being, let alone a politician. When will people wake up and realize what the real agenda is for the Teapublicans? More money for the wealthy and corporations is all they are after.

“On Monday, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor said that Congress would not approve funds for disaster relief without budget cuts elsewhere.”

These people are a sick, sick joke, and they called themselves representatives?
As I type they are showing a tornado in Piedmont, Oklahoma.

“I know this is tea party territory. And with out a doubt people are looking for the government to come in and help.”

  3. It sure didn’t take long for the cankerous mouth-breather Cantor to … well, just be Cantor:

Joplin, Missouri Tornado: House GOP Prepares $1 Billion Aid Package Amid Budget Fight

WASHINGTON (AP/The Huffington Post) — In the aftermath of Sunday’s devastating tornado in Joplin, Mo., Republicans controlling the House are preparing a $1 billion aid package to make sure federal disaster relief accounts don’t run out before the end of the budget year in September. ….

On Monday, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor said that Congress would not approve funds for disaster relief without budget cuts elsewhere. “If there is support for a supplemental, it would be accompanied by support for having pay-fors to that supplemental,” he said.

Aderholt said that the appropriations panel will cut spending elsewhere in the budget to fund the disaster relief. A House Appropriations Committee spokeswoman said the panel was likely to cut a loan program to encourage the production of fuel efficient vehicles.

    πŸ™‚ Well done.

Any bets on how long it will take for some nationally recognized wingnut to claim just that?

BTW Campings response about being oh,5 months ahead of time, ranks up there IMHO of the saying “being a little bit pregnant”LOL!!!

  6. And the Republican controlled house wants to cut back funding for agencies that respond to these situations. And the weather services that predict these situations.

I know this is tea party territory. And with out a doubt people are looking for the government to come in and help.

Rose garden? How about a planet with more than about 2% of the surface as inhabitable space?

  8. Are we still here….I heard the final was extended another 4 months….

  9. Mespo,

    I beg your pardon,
He never promised you a rose garden.
Along with the sunshine, he said
There’s gotta be a little rain sometimes.
When you take, you gotta give, so live and let live,
    Or let go.
    I beg your pardon,
He never promised you a rose garden.

  10. Ah more evidence of the genius of the Maker’s Plan: massive destruction, death, and mayhem of innocents made acceptable by refracted light spectrum.
