HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!!!

Happy Birthday America. Once again, we gather to celebrate tossing out that preening, prancing Hanover prig George III. Of course, this blog is the embodiment of everything that is noble and good in our country. It is here that we defend those rights that define us. If Thomas Paine were alive, he would be one of our regulars (after a lecture on our civility policy).

Tonight we will have our annual cookout and fireworks in McLean. I hope that all of our regulars have a wonderful time today. It may not seem much to get rid of this dandy below, but it was no small feat.

Lest we forget our later fight when the British returned, I give you Johnny Horton’s Battle of New Orleans:

  2. I would like to know why my comments made on Independence day are being censored on the Cosmic Pluralism post?

    Nal?

  3. Thanks to all. Enjoy the Malnati’s pizza Swarthmore Mom, but I recognize a small place in Lincoln Park called Pequods for great deep dish pizza! Happy 4th!

  4. I jut got back from the National Cemetery. Both sad and inspiring.

This seems to be a good piece to share at this time. Lai is a Laotian refugee who now lives in Canada. He loves the USA and the American Army Captain who introduced him to the electric guitar in the refugee camp. Now, Lai may be the best guitarist in the world who does not have a recording contract.
