Sunday in Paris With Eric

Here is our picture of the week from our erstwhile colleague in the City of Light, Eric Tenin.

Here is Eric’s description:

I took this photo this morning at Saint Germain at the Café Bonaparte. Of course it’s a little too much (too typical, too French, too blue, white, red!) but it’s kinda cute 😉 I searched the web and found out that the first café appeared in Turkey in 1554 and that the first European one opened in 1615 in Venice. Paris had to wait until… 1643! Of course now we also have Starbucks LOL!

Eric Tenin is the co-founder and CEO of polltogo.com, a mobile polling platform, but he is also a true Parisian (born and raised there). Since 2005, he’s been taking a photo of his home town every single day, to feed his www.parisdailyphoto.com (PDP) blog. Since the launch of PDP, thousands of other cities have joined his CityDailyPhoto.com community, sharing their cities from a local view. One of his pictures is featured each Sunday on the Turley blog.

  1. Had breakfast at a French cafe in Dallas. My friend Es bought today. We talked about about politics in general and the blog. Outside there was a car with a Palin 2012 sticker. We knew we were not at a cafe on the left bank. Love that area of Paris.

  2. I’m waiting for someone from Victor Victoria to scream “cockroach” and then break into song.
