The Kitty Claude Rains

Why do most cats seem constantly shocked by human behavior? They are often “shocked, shocked” by everything from a suggestion that it get off the couch to the accusation that the feathers all over the floor indicate that it finally ate the family’s pet cockatoo.

Ok, perhaps the owner could have taken a little more time working up to the neutering issue.

  14. My sister’s cat never walked from the living room to the dining room. It would hop over some unseen (to mere mortal humans) barrier in the doorway between the two rooms.

  15. I was removed from my volunteer hours at a local shelter. I was having a particularly bad day as I had to remove the bodies of some cats I desperately fell in love with from ‘the room”.

    I was out front when a guy brought in a box of kittens he wanted to unload. I happened to ask why he hadn’t had the mother neutered.
    “I wanted my kids to witness the miracle of birth.”
    I replied in a loud voice
    “You really should bring them here in a couple of weeks so I can take them over to the chamber so they can witness the miracle of death”

    Yeah, they didn’t even ask – they TOLD me not to come back

  16. I’ve decided that a lot of it is just cat hallucinations. Otherwise as much as I adore my guys the way they look, either horrified or staring at what, to me, is nothing, has to have a cause. My bottom line is cats are just twilight zoney.

  19. A bullet seems cheaper than your way. Never done it but seeing them give birth in freeaing weather makes one wonder if something must be done

  20. Cats do not have one personality that fits all. They are individuals.

    A university in Minnesota is working on a spay / neutering oral vaccine that will render cats unable to become pregnant for about one year.

    It would be a great way to help with feral cat population problems. Just put the oral vaccine in their food.
