Noam Chomsky, considered one of the world’s leading intellectuals, makes a surprising appearance in this MIT takeoff of the popular Gangnam Style video. Chomsky is an Institute Professor and Professor (Emeritus) in the Department of Linguistics & Philosophy at MIT.
Chomsky appears around 3:30 and it is hilarious that they convinced him and various MIT professors to participate in the spoof.
These takeoffs of the video are proliferating. One of the best is Romney Style below. Even if you are a supporter, you have to admit that it is pretty funny. I gave the Al Smith dinner to Romney but I have to give the best Gangnam Style parady to Obama supporters:

The problem with Chomsky is that he thought his intellect does extend that far. If you read about his view of Pol Pot, and his denial until he couldn’t deny, you’d see that this phrase “considered one of the world’s leading intellectuals” is meaningless outside his discipline. He has no more insight outside of his discipline than any other lay person, because outside his discipline he was a lay person too.
