There is something about this video of the Russian military singing Skyfall that I find absolutely hilarious. I am pretty confident that Adele is safe in this competition.
After seeing this on Reddit, I now what to hear the Chernobyl Military choir sing Radioactive by Imagine Dragons and Russian Military Police Choir singing “Just Give Me a Reason” by Pink.
Below is the choir practicing their next number:
I should say the Rock County Fair is in Janesville, Wi.
Squeeky, Whenever I hear the Twist, no matter the language or venue, I must dance..like Dieter. Here’s a bit of Enquirer type info on Chubby. When he was playing a gig @ the Rock County Fair back in the early 90’s, Chubby had carnal knowledge w/ a local woman. As long as you got the name, you got the groupies. Well, a love child came of that evening, Mistie Bass. Mistie was an all-state basketball player and a good student. She went on to play center @ Duke in ~2002.
Darren, Of all of Mike Myers characters, Dieter was my favorite. I always sensed it wasn’t Lorne Michael’s fav since there weren’t that many skits. This was one of the best.
@nicks:
Thank you! These guys are really fantastic musicians, particularly on one called Hasta la Vista, but I can not for the life of me figure out why their group never took off big in America, because they really are the SCHYTTS!:

Gene:
Funny, but if I ever through some perverted twist of fate look as arrogant as Zachary Quinto is portraying here, please slap me in the face. 🙂
Darren,
Have you seen the Audi commercial with Nimoy and Zachary Quinto? He pokes fun at that song.
Gene, Squeeky, Darren: Thanks?! In my tenure here, this is both the best, and most disturbing, collection of videos.
Nick
I’ll see your “William Shatner” and raise you a “Leonard Nimoy”
Pete:
Awesomesauce!
One toke over the line on Lawrence Welk?????? Oh my God!. and when Lawrence W said “And there you’ve heard a modern spiritual by…” that took the cake.
Unreal.
Every time I heard that song since, I thought of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. I never thought I would think of LW.
@nickS:
Oh, youtube is full of covers, and I learn a lot from them about rhythm and unique techniques. However, sometimes original songs have something special to offer, too:

I can do better than that, nick.
This montage of horrible covers of songs only needs William Shatner singing MacArthur Park to win the 2013 Camp Award.
@Pete:
OH, that was wunnerful! A new spiritual….oh tee hee…..oh I think I am going to go laugh until I hurt for a while…

Just because every parody should be compared to the original.

Now that’s a sexy voice!
For quite a while after I first saw “the Russians are Coming” whenever there was a kerfuffle of some sort at work (large things dropped etc.) that usually resulted in shout outs and faux histrionics I would do the “Emergency…” bit. Lol, good times. Excellent movie.
Maddog, I don’t know about the North Korean hats but I think they caged their uniforms from the Daleks:

I am glad you liked it. About the 5th or 6th listen, it really got good mit der hand gerholden haben und skippen stuff, and now it seems the way the song is just supposed to be. The singer has a really good voice, and I downloaded some more of his stuff way back then, including, this one, which I can just see Berthold Brecht sneaking into West Berlin to help choreograph:
