Four Minnesota Youths Arrested After Allegedly Grabbing Woman, Stealing Her Cellphone, Stripping Her on the Street, and Urinating on Her

Mugshot Processed -This is Miklos Terrell Dates Jr. who is accused of a heinous crime against a 31-year-old woman who was robbed of her cellphone and then urinated on allegedly by Dates and his friends.  The sexual assault charge in the case could prove challenging depending on the actions of the individual defendants.

Dates is accused of pulling up along side of the woman. She says that the passengers were wearing wigs and she thought that they were women. She approached the car when they asked for directions. They then pulled her to the car, stole her cellphone, and forced her to the ground. Her pants were pulled down and the occupants then taunted her and urinated on her.

When police caught up to the car, Dates told them that the car was his “auntie’s” car and the cellphone was a friend’s phone. The car turned out to be a rental car that was never returned. Dates was later picked out of a lineup by the victim.

The other occupants were juveniles and there is no report of charges against them, even as juveniles. I assume those charges are coming since an act of this kind shows a degree of depravity that reflects a clear and present danger to society.

Yet, it was the backseat occupant who urinated on the woman.

Dates, 18, was charged with first-degree aggravated robbery and fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct. It is the second charge that is interesting here. That charge includes stripping a person but must also be accompanied with a proscribed touching. Here is the provision:

Subdivision 1.Crime defined. A person is guilty of criminal sexual conduct in the fifth degree:
(1) if the person engages in nonconsensual sexual contact; or

(2) the person engages in masturbation or lewd exhibition of the genitals in the presence of a minor under the age of 16, knowing or having reason to know the minor is present.

For purposes of this section, “sexual contact” has the meaning given in section 609.341, subdivision 11, paragraph (a), clauses (i) and (iv), but does not include the intentional touching of the clothing covering the immediate area of the buttocks. Sexual contact also includes the intentional removal or attempted removal of clothing covering the complainant’s intimate parts or undergarments, and the nonconsensual touching by the complainant of the actor’s intimate parts, effected by the actor, if the action is performed with sexual or aggressive intent.

If police are alleging that Dates was the one who urinated on the woman, that might suffice. However, otherwise, it would seem that they would need to show the touching element.

If one of the juveniles were responsible for urination (as well as participating in the stripping of the victim), it is not clear if they are close to the same age as Dates and would be tried as adults. Such a determination must normally be made after a hearing.

  1. Jack, I lived in KC and loved it when the Royals beat the Cards. Actually, I am a baseball fan, not of any team, and have ALWAYS respected St. Louis as a great baseball town. I did hate LaRussa, like the new guy, Matheny. He’s a calm, quiet, Walter Alston type.

  2. What part of Minnesota could they be from the Muslim Somali area. Race isn’t and issue but Religion might be.

  3. There’s a joke about “holding your breath” and “auto-erotic asphyxiation” in there somewhere . . .

  4. I would appreciate it if Nick Spinelli or someone would do an article on the blog about the right of Cardinal Fans to establish a nation state on the West Bank of the Mississippi which of course includes all of the Saint Louis metro area on the west side of the Mississippi. Is not Nick from Saint Louis originally? Someone here on the blog went to Saint Louis University as I recall.

Too bad the woman apparently was not packing a 45.

yep, the little pissers could’ve used it when pulled over later by the police.

  6. There is room for two West Bank independent nations on opposite sides of the world on the respective West Bank of two respectable rivers. I am on BarkinDog’s side on this one. As a Cardinal Fan who lives in NC, I would move to Cardinal Nation. With a passport like that you could get box seats at a Yankee Stadium game, just on the basis of respect. Go Cardinals tomorrow.

  7. BarkinDog here: I am in Den Haag. We do not get the baseball games here so I missed the Cardinal -Pittsburgh game yesterday. We are advocating and lobbying for international support for the establishment of Cardinal Nation on the West Bank. Incredible as it may seem the Arab countries all oppose us. Some mock us and say that our movement is an effort to mock the Palestinians who once were Jordanian citizens for now calling themselves Palestinians and not Jordanians. But, it has nothing to do with Palestine. We may be Missourians now but in heart and soul we are Cardinal Nation. We need our own nation state on the West Bank, And no not the West Bank of the Jordan River but the West Bank of the Mississippi River.

Oh, on topic. DNA testing might tell us who peed on her.

  8. jcg: There is only a photo of one of the perps. How do you know that the others are not white? Or half white? Which half did it–the black side of the sperm aisle or the white side? Hermann Goerring would want to know.

  9. Kraaken, I agree. However, in PC Mecca, Madison, most media outlets do not mention the race of suspects even when they are AT LARGE. They give all descriptive info of an alleged felon, that the police are looking for but DO NOT MENTION RACE!. This is where you’ll all be, no matter where your live, if we don’t stand up to PC. But let me say again, the race of the victim in this matter, is irrelevant to me. Obviously not to some. C’est la vie.

  10. @jcgmich: race isn’t the issue here. Plenty of depraved white and other people of color. That said, these young men deserve to be put away for a very long long time.

  11. jcgmich29: “Not once is race mentioned in the article.”

Nor SHOULD it have been . This is about a personal violation as a crime, not about black or white.

  12. I like how the PC writer refers to them as “youths”. They are BLACKS that attacked a WHITE woman. No one is surprised by the races involved. This behavior is expected from blacks. But the writer is too afraid to point this out. Not once is race mentioned in the article.

  13. If this little cretin’s mom had taken a wooden spoon to his butt when he was a child…no, wait. THAT would be abuse.

  14. Remove the ”Offending Organ”………………. then lock him up for 20 years.

  15. Youths? I think repulsive beasts is a better description. Dates will soon be grabbed by the arm and pulled into an unfamiliar cell, where he will quickly and uncomfortably understand the pain he inflicted on this woman.
