  1. See what I mean?
    Both comments above are nonresponsive.
One concludes dissent is a form of shared madness, and paranoia.
The second does not address the arguments at all, saying “they’re just mad at you because xyz”.

How can anyone take this stuff seriously, much less give it a respectful response?

The post was not offered respectfully, regardless of how well written.
It was racist by his own standards, but he chooses to call that clear observation ‘sewage.’
    Why bother fisking it further?

  2. Bettykath’s comment is typical of what I am speaking about.

Her position is one common to the left, that disagreement is “unclean,” literally in her mind ‘sewage,’ more specifically referring to human defecation.

So why is that kind of comment felt to be ‘respectful’, one that calls my noticing that by his own standards he is racist, calling that ‘scat’?

They assume their position is the moral high ground, and need not defend it against attack. Hence my argument that they are unserious people. They can’t defend their positions.

Not with logic and argument anyway.

  3. I’m unsure the topic is one that deserves respect.

The demise of football is obviously the next target in the left’s long march through institutions.

They own all the grade schools, high schools, colleges, Hollywood and mainstream news media, the CDC and the IRS as well as most of the bureaucracy of the land.

Now they want to end what the hated rubes of flyover land enjoy, those rubes that they so want to control.

So I chose merely to point out that by his own standards, the post was quite racist. Which it is, by his standards.

And it was a most unserious one, given that he ignored several unsavory conclusions in his rush to condemn the sport.

And I predict he will not have serious response to this comment, either a sneer or nothing at all.

  4. And there need to be those who fill the sewers so the cleaners have work. We could use a few more cleaners here.

  5. Darren:

Thanks for the support. I really don’t mind it. Everybody has to make a living and we need sewer cleaners as well as poets.

  6. Chuck:

I particularly liked this passage from your cited article:

“Another common forum for projection is in internet arguments, where it is usually pathetically obvious to everyone except the projector.[1] In that context, the phenomenon may be called mirror-imaging.”

It’s sort of Biblical. “Ye shall know them by their works” — even if they don’t.

It’s there something known as small group projection?

  7. Darren,

    “. . . presenting you with a good writing . . . ”

So sad you can’t present a good writing, try as you do.

  8. Darren,

“Mark did spend a good amount of time presenting you with a good writing and also did so with his previous posting on this topic.”

Yes, Mark did. Thank you for paternalistic concern.

It’s nice to see that you can pull your nose out of nether regions long enough to catch a breath.

  9. Folks,

Mark did spend a good amount of time presenting you with a good writing and also did so with his previous posting on this topic. To disagree is one thing but to be mean about it? A little credit for his effort should be respected.

  10. Max, et al

I tried to reproduce the problem you guys were having to try and find a solution. But I haven’t any luck on my end seeing the problem that you all are.

One thing I thought might be the cause could be a browser caching issue. See if this matters, I believe the wordpress server will redirect you and it might not get past the cache issue. Clearing out your webbrowser’s history files, closing the browser and then coming back might do the trick. See if this works in addition to the below:

  11. I have a hard time following the logic of this post. The argument seems to be that football is bad for women because some football players behave badly – off the field. So using the same “logic” I could list any number of Plumbers and English Professors who’ve treated women badly, including rape and murder and then conclude the Plumbers Unions and Colleges better stop coddling sex offenders and clean up their acts. But that would be crazy.

Sorry, there’s no causal relationship between the acts described and the sport of Football – let alone the NFL.
