A Truly “Sick Beat” [Cop]: Officer’s Taylor Swift Lip Sync Makes Him Instant Sensation

Screen Shot 2015-01-21 at 7.11.48 PMMaster Cpl. Jeff Davis of the Dover Police Department has become a virtual sensation with his lip-syncing to Taylor Swift’s “Shake it Off” has now gotten more than 20 million views on YouTube, a trip to Good Morning America in New York, and even received a “LOLOLOLOL THE SASS” tweet from Swift herself. My kids loved the video so I thought I would share it in case you have not seen it.

Next I expect a production of “The Thin Blue [Chorus Line]” with the rest of the Dover Police Department.

  1. I’m looking forward to a heartfelt post from JT about Ernie Banks. Shook his hand @ Wrigley during one of my many Cub games. Lived walking distance so attended many games, not liking the Cubs but loving baseball. Ernie was the real deal. A genuinely nice man, which means more to me than all of his records.

  2. Law enforcement always lies. It wasn’t a candid moment caught on dash cam, it’s a propaganda video- “See, we’re just like you!”

    No you’re not.

  3. Wow! His timing was spot on. So nice to see a happy officer enjoying the day! Did he learn the song after his daughter/wife over-played it & this video ironically became her pay back? 🙂

  4. Oh . . . My . . . God, I LOVE this. I love how he shut it down when he motioned someone off camera to pass, and as soon as he was past, he was bopping out again.

So awesome! That’s one way to break the monotony of spending all day in the car.

And I’ve heard so many stories about Swift being kind to fans. It’s nice.

  5. this is a tasteless video for my opinion ….most cops are brainless idiots and this one sure seems like one …glad i did not contribute to the total number of views

  6. We should humanize all cops and other individuals in these tense situations. However, it’s interesting that you (and our society) choose to humanize a cop, but almost go out of your way to post about the “thugs” and “criminals” in Ferguson and other urban areas.

  7. It’s great to see this cop having fun on the job, LOL! How can he hear his radio with the music blasting though?

  8. This should be encouraged since I doubt a cop this cool will be shooting down unarmed suspects.
