Happy Easter to all of our bloggers and readers that are celebrating today. The bunny came to the Turley house and left baskets overflowing with chocolates and candies. He even left a basket for Luna overflowing with dog treats.
We are preparing for our annual Easter Egg hunt when we invite all of the neighborhood kids for a massive search for hundreds of eggs.
We will be making our traditional lamb tonight with friends before I try to sneak away to watch the opening day for the Cubs against the Cardinals with our new pitcher, Lester. This weekend I hoisted our new Cubs banner for the outside of the house. Go Cubbies!
Happy Easter to everyone — now hop to it and eat more chocolate!

Rcocean, LOL!
I’m reading the Easter Sunday section of the San Diego newspaper. As I’ve discussed here previously, there are many Iraqi Christians here in San Diego. Most came during the Saddam Hussein terroristic reign. Some still have family in Iraq. Just several months ago, in the span of just several days, hundreds of thousands of Christians were forced to flee to the Kurd region, faced w/ “convert or die” from ISIS.I have gotten to know some of these good people. Any prayers for their families and friends facing death, and truly showing their faith on the Easter Sunday, would be appreciated. Thank you.
Happy Easter, everybody.
I agree God doesn’t care who wins Monday. He roots for BYU.
Yeah Wisconsin! I love my state, I’m so proud of OUR teams. We Wisconsinites who love our state couldn’t be prouder of OUR Badgers.
What a game!
Happy Easter to all. Haz, here’s what I love about tomorrow’s game. Two great, legitimate basketball programs have made it to the finals. Two men who treat their players like men. Who discipline them on and off the court. Who expect them to be students. I love Ryan and the Badger program. I will however, not invoke God or Jesus in hoping they prevail. A Jesuit taught us when we played football that God doesn’t care who wins.
Happy Easter. This post made me think about what Easter is and has become. In my experience, it is more about chocolate and candy than about any religious celebration. It is about getting together with family and feasting. Regardless, Happy Easter!!
I am looking forward to a Cubs team that can actually compete again in the Central. It just hasn’t been the same the last few years with the Cubs playing so bad. Time to renew the rivalry. GO CARDS!!!!
You say Easter, I say Eostre.
And thanks for closing that “Ishtar” thread !
Happy Easter and I’m looking forward to Duke v. Wisconsin
Happy Easter! Go Badgers!

The empty tomb announces cosmic hope.
