There is another controversy over the veracity of representations of minority status in Washington. We previously discussed the controversy raised by the allegedly false claims of Senator Elizabeth Warren that she is a Native American. In this case, however, the accused is the head of a NAACP chapter and she is being accused of lying by her own mother. Worse yet, some have suggested that Rachel Dolezal, who is the head of the NAACP’s chapter in Spokane, planted hate mail at her office.
Dolezal has described her ethnicity as white, black, and American Indian in past papers and applications. However, her mother, Ruthanne, said that she is Czech, Swedish, and German, along with some “faint traces” of Native American heritage.
That has led to angry responses from different groups that she represented herself as a minority when she was selected for different positions. Dolezal has called the controversy a “multi-layered issue” and insisted “That question is not as easy as it seems. There’s a lot of complexities … and I don’t know that everyone would understand that.” She then added “We’re all from the African continent.” Many have interpreted that statement as a claim that, since mankind itself has been traced to Africa, everyone is an African to some degree. The definition is not sufficient for various groups. It raises, as did the Warren controversy, the basis for claiming minority status — a status that can give an edge in applications or hirings.
In addition, critics have raised suspicious racially motivated incidents reported by Dolezal while she was in Coeur d’Alene, including the discovery of a swastika on the Human Rights Education Institute’s door. Likewise, Spokane police records for February and March of this year showed that a hate mail package Dolezal reported receiving at the NAACP’s post office box did not bear a date stamp or barcode. Dolezal denies responsibility for those incidents.
The question is how to handle such cases in not only definition how to prove or what constitutes minority status or how to respond to allegedly false claims. If one receives payment for holding a position secured by assurance of minority status, can it be an actionable from of fraud or misrepresentation for the purposes of criminal or civil liability?

Squeeky was correct in context.
@Wade
Gee, Wade. Which answer did you pick??? Do you have the courage to call drooling feral blacks just that??? Or, are you too busy being politically correct???
Too hard for you??? Maybe this one is easier:
First, watch the video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7Bl96C1qc4
Now, pick the answer which best describes the subject individuals physically interacting in the parking lots:
1. Typical average black citizens; or
2. Drooling, feral blacks.
Test over!

There is nothing that says people should be able to vote early and nothing that says that if they do not it is voter fraud.
That is not what the test was about.
A multiple choice question:
First: Watch this short video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptcJL8ahDzE
Pick the answer which best describes the subject individuals entering the stores:
1. Typical average black citizens; or
2. Drooling, feral blacks.
Test over!

To the best of my knowledge no one has ever accused me of being pc.
But it seems to me you present a false dichotomy.
It seems to me we see several different kinds of behavior in the video.
At the start it looks like some men of a certain age are out looking for action much like men of that age regardless of of their ethnic group.
Later I think we see some combative and self destructive behavior. I will guess that it is over something completely trivial.
But I did not see anyone drooling. And I did not see any behavior that was feral – maybe lower middle class, or combative, violent, or drunken which are behaviors common to all ethnic groups I know of. If I had a background in psychology or sociology I could probably put a finer point on what I have seen in the video.
It seems to me that drooling feral is nothing more than intentionally insulting. The fact that drooling feral, in this thread, has been applied solely to African Americans leads me to believe the term is used with racist intent as well.
So there you have it. I like to call things according to my best understanding which is definitely not guided by pc. I do not agree with the dichotomy that they are either drooling feral or typical average. I don’t see that it is accurate, useful, or suggestive of anything illuminating to call these people drooling feral. On the contrary I think I have mentioned several other terms that I think are far more descriptive of what is going on in the video and far more useful for understanding the behavior we see.
I don’t find you remarks or you video convincing at all.
So how many of y’all think Squeeky was simply the cat’s meow using the vile ” drooling feral blacks” to describe African Americans? I guess y’all must think that she was cute, a tacit agreement it appears.
Nick:
“bam, If you learn nothing from this please understand LIBERALS TAKE CARE OF THEIR OWN!” I know, this is SO WEIRD. If a Republican pretended to be black and allegedly stole positions and college entrance based on that lie, she would be tarred and feathered. I do see some criticism, but there is this element that will literally defend a Liberal no matter what they do.
If a Republican or Libertarian declared herself a Presidential candidate, and then refused to grant any interviews or answer virtually no questions concerning multiple allegations of breaking the law and serious violations of the rules of the State Department, there would be no question that she would be pilloried. And rightfully so. But if it is a Liberal, the True Believers apply a double standard, appearing to be completely unaware that they do so.
I suppose every party has its True Believers. The Liberal ones have certainly been on display recently.
And you are right that voter fraud is rampant. I have seen multiple news stories in which a journalist with a video camera goes door to door and illegal aliens admit that they are not citizens but voted in an election. But it’s so rare for it to be investigated or prosecuted. In fact, any attempt to purge the voter roles of illegal entries is automatically fought as racist or trying to disenfranchise the poor.
In such a case, they all act like Hillary Clinton – the law does not apply, and trying to enforce the law will receive a backlash.
If the words are so vile, why have you repeated them so many times? You must have driven your mother crazy.
@Wade
You still didn’t address my argument. IIRC Republican gains in some of these usually blue states is a recent thing. Why didn’t they change the laws when they had the chance IF IF IF they are truly as Jim Crow-y as they claim.
It is like Obama saying that the Republicans are blocking his Immigration Reform. Well, that’s mostly true. Because they mostly are. BUT —The Democrats had complete control of Congress for the first two years of his presidency. Uh, why didn’t they pass it then???
I think the Democrats are sometimes happier to complain about the Republicans than they are to do things when they have the chance. And that is what has happened to the Voter ID stuff, election reforms. We are on different turf now, where the real aim of the Democrats is to electorally benefit from all the illegal aliens that have let in.
Which to add to the above, doesn’t even make “green” sense. My goodness, millions of people coming in from 3rd world countries transforms them from lower energy users into higher energy users. And, just FWIW:

Don’t see an edit button and I’m typing on a cell phone which is a pain but that should say “among” not “smog”
CK07 – thanks for the correction. I was getting a migraine trying to make sense of your post.
Squeaky Fromm,
Way to ignore the fact that republicans are the main ones blocking early voting in those states too:
http://mobile.nytimes.com/2013/05/04/opinion/early-voting-in-new-york-means-easier-voting.html?referrer=&_r=0
All but 1 republican votes no in NY.
Yet you fail to address the VRA repeal and voting ID laws which studies have shown are unnecessary and would only harm minorities and the elderly.
Meanwhile you say racism has no tangible effect on minorities while claiming half of black youth are feral savages. With views like that smog conservatives do you really think jobs will give a fair shake to blacks applying for jobs? Even those Jamaicans you described will be viewed as savages by people like you who see black and assume savage. Hence why you justify officers treating them in a discriminatory fashion like the one who killed mike brown saying he saw a demon as opposed to a citizen. Or the many neocons justifying the officer who manhandled that girl in Texas and only rounded up blacks.
So anyway I had this post with several links to backup the elderly issue and the admission on voter id being not a necessity but I think the amount of links made my comment moderated. With jt out until Monday I’ll just post this for now since its been over an hour.
C’mon Nick. Show the same amount of courage that Obama has shown.
Are you going to MAKE me regret saying “those who say ‘drooling feral blacks’ “.
Just how do you intend to make me regret saying “those who say ‘drooling feral blacks’ “.

Wade, the 10:26 PM, comment does sound like a threat. He always does these sort of things when JT is out of town, it never fails.
Sbam, Squeek and Karen, I have said this previously and it is clear tonight. These cultists are going off the rails because they know they have a failed President and a loser candidate they don’t even like for 2016. I think 2016 is going to make the Dems butt kicking in 2014 look like a walk in the park. That’s why they’re litigating. But, it won’t work. Thusly the ranting we see. Can’t you just see the spittle on troll boys computer in mommy’s basement. LOL!
Squeek, Their cult leader Obama got his ass kicked today on the trade bill. He tried to be kissy w/ the Dems. He has treated them like red headed step children since 2008 and they finally told him to kiss their fat ass. A Dem Congressman was livid and said Obama tried to intimidate them. Prissy law profs can’t intimidate. This is a failed Presidency.
Nick,
Tell us again about the fat lesbian, Hillary. Tell us about the rapist, Bill Clinton. Tell us about the cultists. Tell us about the unions – the education industrialists (ignore that’s how Jebbie makes a good deal of money) tell us how the Christian Churches are all locked up and the Christians are forced into living in camps.
Please, please, please tell us how we are all going to hell because of all these damn liberals.
Note:
Spitzer and the tweeter guy. Gone in 60 seconds. Vitter/diaper guy is in a leadership position. And the whip from LA is a real jewel, too. Likes the Klan.
But it’s the liberals who protect their own.
@NickS
Thank you for the info. If no early voting=jim crow, then Connecticut has had many years to correct the situation. Wade is correct that the GOP is trying to hold up “early voting” in Connecticut, but I think you have to consider that in light of the current scenario we face. The Democrats are trying to stuff the ballot boxes with illegal immigrants. It is not a short term plan, and it will take them a few years to bring them fully into the Democratic machines, but it is happening. But even the left-leaning Washington Post can see it:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/monkey-cage/wp/2014/10/24/could-non-citizens-decide-the-november-election/
There is no other reason, and certainly no economic reason, to bring in millions of unskilled laborers into a country where there are already over 90 million unemployed and under employed citizens. Every Mexican brought in takes a job from a black person. But, since poor people tend to vote Democratic, the party is able to keep a large number of barefoot and pregnant voters on tap.
On top of that you have Obama trying to push the TPP deal, and the idiot Republicans are helping him. It is like the slave holder days all over again, with the moneyed interests caring more about either maintaining political power and/or economic power than the position of our country.
