Private Company Used By Clinton Reportedly Kept Its Servers In Bathroom Closet Of Loft Apartment

170px-Msc2011_dett-clinton_0298The growing scandal surrounding Hillary Clinton’s use of an unsecured server now involves a little known Denver company that she used for the system. Clinton has repeatedly dismissed concerns about her decision not to use the secure State Department system by saying that she had her own security team and that the server was always protected. Now there is a media report that Clinton actually used a small company with Democratic party ties in Denver which reportedly kept its server in a bathroom closet in a loft apartment. The report raises again questions of the security used for the system while there are also questions being raised about Clinton lawyers lacking clearances to deal with possibly classified material in deleting thousands of messages and holding copies of messages. There has not been a response printed to the story thus far and the position of the Clinton campaign (including challenging the accuracy of the story) is unknown at this time.

The company Platte River Networks is described as a “mom and pop” operation by former employees.

Founded in 2002 by entrepreneurs Treve Suazo, Brent Allshouse and Tom Welch, Platte River Networks operated out of a 1,858 square feet loft apartment in downtown Denver until earlier year. The building hardly sounds secure from foreign intelligence penetration.

These concerns arise with the disclosure of hundreds of emails flagged as possibly classified, including at least two at one of the highest levels.

    1. If I learned anything from The Deer Hunter (or was it Pulp Fiction?) Its that there’s only one place you can hide a server where Charlie can’t find it.

  1. Look out for The Donald. He’s just another cog in the propaganda machine. He has a part to play. Sanders has a part. Hilliary has a part. They all have parts. Not one of them is for real or on your side. They are all paid hacks. Follow the money.

Vote for people who represent you and work like he.. to right the wrongs of our country. It’s way more than voting which needs doing in the US!

  2. Man, The Clinton Foundation has even sent out the retarded and mentally disturbed trolls to muddy the waters today!!

From the guy who can’t appreciate his similarity to NDTE and flags perfectly good humor. Go figure. Or just go.

  3. @David 2575 . . . Yes, there’s a thing called a flash drive as well.

@Dust Bunny . . . roycommi Is Hillary Clintons best voter! I think they call them willfully ignorant voters. Just sayin. 😏

  4. After reading all the comments here I have decided that I do not want a Queen Hillary for President. I am for The Donald. I want someone in Congress to pass a law that no communication of secrets be done by emails, by fax, or by telephone. There should be an exemption for complaints about dirty toilets in embassy restrooms whether foreign or domestic.

  5. 35 years ago email didn’t exist. Presumably there were paper trails instead. Was all that paper secured after officials left office? I have yet to see any pundits address this aspect of the Clinton story.

  6. Mr. Ed

I know being a horse and all, it is likely difficult for you to understand all this human technology. The server location of an email is easily traced by those who know how to do this type of stuff. The physical location of a server is not really all that material.

However the SECURITY of the server both literal and virtually is important. If someone can physically tap into the server, as Davidm says, the data may be be stolen or compromised. If the protocols and layers of security are not there someone can virtually tap into the server and steal the data. Since even the most protected of government servers and systems seem to be easily breached (FBI & IRS), it is really doubtful that mom and pop’s bathroom server in their loft apartment was secure in the least.

It is EASY to trace the path of an email and easy to directly access not only the server but the sending computers. Fortunately, I have nothing of value on my systems. If people want to steal my recipes, knitting patterns and read my rants…..big deal. Reading the Secretary of State’s emails AND those of everyone who sent her mail, who can also be traced and hacked, IS a very big deal.

All Hillary needed to do was to follow protocol JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE. That she didn’t is also a big deal.

BTW: What credibility does Hillary have anyway 😉

I think you are being technologically clueless here. By getting on the server directly, you bypass the router and a whole bunch of firewalls and security issues. By it being in a bathroom, you can close the door of the bathroom for privacy, and tap into the server directly without arousing suspicions or removing the server. The entire database of emails can be copied off quickly and easily and snooped through later.

  9. Now, who would hack a server this obscure and insignificant? Wouldn’t hackers go after the more obvious ones at State or the FBI, as they recently did?
This is either genius to use a place so far underwater (no pun) that it would take lifetimes to discover, or the ultimate unaware and stupid.
    Truly, time will tell.
This can’t end well. The Republicans will destroy her credibility way before the primaries. Sheesh, it’s only August, almost a year before the convention.

  10. NSA can release the files, no problem

    @ Jill

Also China and Russia. However, they will wait until Hillary is President (GOD FORBID) and use them to blackmail her to get what they want from us.

    Leverage, you know 😉

  11. I dont understand what the “growing scandal” is. Her email was on a private server, so what?

    @ roycommi

The reason you don’t understand is because you don’t know what a server is, as opposed to an email account. You also don’t understand the reason behind archiving all incoming and outgoing emails and communications of ANY kind in backup servers and other methods to preserve the communications that are Governmental. THIS is to prevent the wholesale destruction of inconvenient communications or altering of those communications in order to save the @ss of the person who sent or received them.

In my prior business….ALL emails and even letters sent were archived by my firm and kept to not only protect me, but to ensure that I wasn’t making false claims, stealing from my clients, damaging the reputation of my firm. IN addition, I was forbidden from participating in certain websites. All this under threat of stiff penalties and possible jail time. Why should Hillary not be held to the same standards as a private company when her communications were, by the nature of her job, classifiable and sensitive????

The Government….WE…..own those communications, which is why the government employees, including Queen Clinton, are supposed to keep their personal communications separate from the governmental business. I have email accounts for personal stuff, jokes, rants, buying stuff on the internet and one for our business. I keep these things separate. It really isn’t rocket science.

Government communications are/should be screened BEFORE being sent to ensure that classified material is not being distributed. Since Clinton was not allowing her communications to be screened by anyone…..there is no way to know just what kinds of information she was allowing to flow back and forth on an UNSECURED, PRIVATE (not governmental) server.

Not only are HER communications on her homegrown, bathroom server, so are all of the communications from others to her. Governmental, personal, international, military, CIA, FBI information and God knows what else.

The rules are……evidently…..just for the little folks and not Hillary.

  12. Ahh, so it’s in the same room as Bush’s Constitution! I love these people. What jerks.

Powerful people think they can say and do anything and idiots will still defend them. They think this because it is too often true. Therefore the people should stop being the willing idiots of the powerful. Citizens demand to know the truth and do not follow “dear leaders”.

NSA can release the files, no problem.
