Yesterday we discussed the Argentinians who thoughtlessly passed around two rare dolphins for selfies, killing at least one of the dolphins. Now a Florida man has outdone the callous disregard of those beachgoers but gleefully being filmed as he pulled a shark out of the water and then pinned it in the sand for photographs. The man shows absolutely no concern for the pain that he is causing the animal or the possible lethal exposure outside of the water.
In the video here, the man is shown posing on top of the shark. The shark is then shown being dragged back by others into the water but appears to be struggling in the water. It was then pushed further into the water. It is not clear if the shark survived.
I truly see these videotapes and remain mystified by the actions of people. I cannot imagine pulling a shark out of the water and enjoying the act of posing on top of a suffering animal. I also cannot imagine what a person must be like to have so little empathy for other living things or such disregard for the suffering that you causing in others.
Why are we not concerned about the pain this shark has caused other “suffering” animals? I’m talking about this shark’s daily meals. What? No empathy for our fellow “living creatures?” If we were sub-continentals, we could call this an example of karma-for the shark, that is. It makes me wonder what karma has in store for our tuft-haired Floridian friend.
While I see your point, it is a shark right? I don’t think there’s a shortage of them despite my not condoning pointless cruelty.
Vote for Donald Trump. He’ll build a wall to keep bull sharks off our beaches, so they can’t rape and steal from us and bring guns and drugs in. Stop the gray dorsal-finning of America!
Karma’s a bitch.
Ya’ll are just jealous you don’t have the balls to grab a shark with your bare hands and drag it out of the surf.
Sure it was a baby shark, but it could have still taken a hand or caused some damage.
Nobody has ever wrestled an alligator before? Never taken on the mechanical bull? Deep sea fishing? Man Vs Food?
Are you guys missing the animal mechanism which makes it feel good to be a victor in a battle? Have you never triumphed over a adversary?
This one time I caught a squirrel, really kicked his ass. He thought he was so good at checkers. I showed him. Friggin’ nut couldn’t even get a king.
“The man shows absolutely no concern for the pain that he is causing the animal or the possible lethal exposure outside of the water.”
MEH. How about focusing on our real problems? Lets try this:
The GOVERNMENT shows absolutely no concern for the pain that he is causing the CITIZENRY or the possible lethal exposure outside of the CONSTITUTION.
There should be a way to plaster this guy’s face, name, address, etc all over the world wide web. You could title it ‘Outing Idiots’.
Bun on the head, tatoo, gay underwear in the guise of swimming suit, reveling in killing something. Send him to some pirate place like Somalia, Yemen, Iran, or Florida. Oh, he is in Florida.
Evolution has left many behind and this guy is one of those ‘child left behind’ products. You can thank American parenting, teach to the test ‘education’ and the media for this lack of empathy, understanding, and awareness.
to play devils advocate, how is this any different than fishing? In a way isn’t this more impressive to have caught it with his hands?
Why would a male have a bun on his head like this? Is he gay?
Oh, Jesus! I opened the article, just know. I saw the photo again. And I was about to comment and say just about exactly what bam bam just commented above. I was gonna say: friggin fat, tatoo, bun-head dork.
What were you expecting from an overweight, tatted-up guy, sporting a beard and a bun on top of his head? Good judgment?
I live in Florida and saw this on the news last night. I’m a fisherman and I was completely appalled by the treatment of this shark.
Black Mirror syndrome
I agree with you. This guy is a total arse and I presume he was raised in FL.
“Cruelty, like every other vice, requires no motive outside of itself; it only requires opportunity.”
~George Eliot
best not watch slaughter house videos- you wouldn’t believe how the animals you eat are treated.
