“Next Time We See Him, We Might Have To Kill Him!”: Trump Supporter Unapologetic After Assault On Protester

rally11n-1-copyWe often discuss how defendants undermine their cases with statements to the press or on social media. The latest example is John McGraw, 78, who assaulted a protester, 26-year-old Rakeem Jones, at a Donald Trump rally in North Carolina. Despite already being in hot water over the disgraceful attack, McGraw told Inside Edition “Next time we see him, we might have to kill him!” That should make for an interesting sentencing hearing.

McGraw appears quite proud of being a thug. He added “We don’t know who he is. He might be with a terrorist organization.” Well, that assumption is more likely to be made to the guy who violently attacked someone who was protesting a presidential candidate.

The attack was not only criminal but cowardly. Jones was being escorted out and McGraw sucker punched him. He then bragged on television: “You bet I liked it . . . Knocking the hell out of the big mouth.”

McGraw, a retired horse handler and artist, is now charged him with assault and battery and disorderly conduct. Given his lack of remorse and subsequent implied threat, the court should impose the maximum penalty. I cannot imagine a fair sentencing that would not include jail time given McGraw’s behavior and post-arrest statements.

  1. Paul S – Bill Ayers? 60’s/70’s? in lieu of contrition for a thuggish act, that is the best you could do? What did you teach? Irrelevancy?

I could list similarly irrelevant examples starting with Eric Rudolph, etc…. But more germane is the current (March 2016) conservative/Nazi/KKK thuggery promoted by Drumpf, Nazi Nugent, Eric Breivik, etc…… One is either for or against hate.

    1. Bill W. – Bill Ayers and I are about the same age, hence the relevance.

  2. AHA! Me and Penelope Dreadful TOLD YOU SO!!!

Donald Trump rally accused stage runner charged federally

    UPDATE @ 10:20 a.m. (March 15):

Thomas DiMassimo, 22, has been charged in federal court with entering a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority to do so, according to court documents.

Court documents read that DiMassimo “did knowingly enter and remain in a restricted building….cordoned off and otherwise restricted area where a person protected by the Secret Service.”

    http://www.daytondailynews.com/news/news/local/protester-rushes-stage-at-dayton-donald-trump-even/nqjjg/

    ITYS above, to wit:

My BFF, Penelope Dreadful, says that the provisions of 18 USC 1572 applies, at least in part, to the Trump protesters. For ease, I made a MSPaint thingy for her to tweet out, which has the sections that definitely apply with a box around them. She says that the DOJ criminal manual advises that “official functions” are not “purely political party” functions. But she says that she would argue that the sections which seem to not apply, could be considered “government functions” in that there are a slew of Secret Service agents, who are themselves “government employees”, there in the furtherance of their duties protecting Trump, and that the protesters are disrupting their duties.

She said this would be an expansive ruling, but “safety” is probably paramount. She also said that there is probably no law against simply “booing” when everyone else is cheering and clapping, but that to stand up and try to speak or to rush the stage, or otherwise make displays is disruptive, and a trespass and disorderly conduct. This Federal law does NOT preempt those State causes of action.

Finally, she says it is her opinion that Soros, MoveOnOrg, and the people who egg this on are guilty of conspiracy to violate this statute, which is provided for therein.

No! I wouldn’t expect a thank you. Just a commensurate response such as insults (there were racists, Nazi’s, etc….. there so we know there was an overabundance of hate there) and return middle fingers as the protester was being led off would have been appropriate. Mob violence should not be the response to non violent protest.

And while I would neither attend nor disrupt any political rally, I would apply the same litmus test and response regardless of the political party. If a conservative supporter was physically assaulted at a Clinton or Sanders rally, I would be in favor of police involvement and likely arrest. Only a tard thinks they can win the race to the bottom.

btw – I would not support any candidate that urged the violence Drumpf has trumpeted. And instead of saying he’ll pay legal bills for violent protesters, Drumpf should have called the protester that was hit, apologized and publicly denounced the violence. That would have been the presidential thing to do. Drumpf simply is not qualified.

  4. @ Paul S

“when I was in high school, the kid in the row behind me gave me the finger and I jumped out of my desk and wopped him.”

Hmm! Inability to turn the other cheek; infantile overreaction without thinking; unwarranted escalation to physical violence, sucker punching another, etc………. yes, you are a typical American conservative. And exactly what the world dislikes about America.

“The guy was being removed for saying something and then gives the crowd the finger, he is lucky only one person nailed him.”

The ease with which many conservatives support escalations of violence is scary. What is even scarier is the sense of entitlement that conservatives can determine when it is acceptable to break laws and attack fellow Americans. Bunch of lawless thugs.

btw – last week, I broke quickly when a light turned yellow and stopped without running the yellow/red. The driver behind me was upset (guess wanted to run the red light) and pounded the steering wheel and flipped two middle fingers at me. Instead of resorting to violence (the seemingly acceptable conservative response) I ignored it, went about my life and had not thought of it again until your comment TRUMPeting violent overreactions. You were lucky not to be arrested and charged as an adult.

    1. Bill W – unlike Bill Ayers I did not bomb anyone, which seems to be the typical response by progressives.

  5. Minnesota never should have ($hould of) sold the north stars. America is worth fighting for. Every year how many of your tax dollars go to the dod? And they are lethal. But hey if you want america to outsource everything….and leave a big line of “still entitled” …..who is going to pay….the sovereign can’t if it is broke. And gone. Damn straight the old man should have busted the punks chops. That old man lived his life on american lies. Leaving nothing but chaos to his kin. Told all his life to be tolerant to a useless eater. Now the useless eater rears his head….not for a job but to quell the old man who believes the young one should get one instead of stealing from the old man. I ain’t very old but i’d of busted the kids chops too. In the day….you did have the right to repel tresspass and theft with force. Now like sexual abuse “violence” has been dilluted. The fu###k punk is the victim. Busting their chops will make america great again..
.because as of late we are pussies.

  6. If this would have been a black man hitting a white man your article and this news would not exist, and no charges would have been filed either, isn’t that a problem Mr Turley?

  7. OK, so i just updated the image with a box around (c)(2). Plus, if the image is too small for you, simply click on it, and it will enlarge to a bigger size.

Darn it, didn’t put the picture in. I apologize. I am not myself today. My little kitten is at the vet getting fixed, and I am almost in tears worrying about her. They said she came through the surgery fine, and that she can come home tomorrow, but I have never been away from her for more that a few hours since I got her, and never overnight. They said that she is burrowing down in her little baby kitten blanket that I sent with her, but I know that she is scared and upset. And here I am crying like an idiot.

  9. This story reminds me of when I went to a Yankee game back around 1990. They were playing the White Sox and we were in the upper left field deck (For those not familiar, they aren’t the high priced seats.). There were these to 20ish guys in our section one wearing Mets clothing, the other, White Sox. Every time the Sox did anything good or the Yanks bad these two idiots would stand up, turn around and point to their hats and jerseys egging the crowd on. Now, it has been my experience that opposing fans are typically tolerated, but these two were on a death wish. I remember telling my friend, “These guys are going to get killed.” They got up and left their seats for whatever reason and when they returned, their faces where all bloodied up and they were with a security guard trying to find who did it. We all pointed to our hats and laughed at them. They got what they wanted and someone from the Bronx was more than willing to give it to them.

  10. @Bill W

What a moronic thing to say about Trump supporters! What are they supposed to do, say “Thank you, Rakeem Jones, for interrupting the speech we came to listen! Because, we really don’t mind at driving the distance we did, and standing outside in the friggin’ line for a few hours, just to listen to your stupid diatribe!

C’mon. You would not like it either if you went to a Bernie speech and Clinton supporters constantly interrupted the speech. I bet even you oh so tolerant progressives would want to whack them up side the head, and I have no doubt that some of you would. It isn’t like progressives don’t ever get rowdy. BLM. Occupy. Wisconsin. Chicago.Seattle.

  11. Rand Jet:
You’ll be arrested if you do unless it’s outside the venue. You can be a screaming meme all you want, I’d love to be there and watch an old fool make a fool of himself.

Just be aware: What might be a surprise is the fact that quietly and right under our noses in 2012, Congress nearly unanimously passed H.R. 347 (a.k.a. the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act) which makes it a federal crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison to “willfully and knowingly” enter a restricted area or to engage in “disorderly or disruptive conduct” that in any way impedes “government business or official functions.”
Signed into law by President Obama, this supposed tweak of a pre-existing law effectively criminalized protest of any person under the protection of the Secret Service, a select group which includes both major parties’ front-runners for the presidential nomination.

During the general election, the nominees of both parties are automatically assigned Secret Service protection, but Hillary Clinton, as a former first lady, is entitled to a Secret Service detail for the rest of her life, and Donald Trump has had a detail assigned to him since last November.
According to AP, 4 are now charged with obstructing justice related to the Trump rally.

And of coarse I don’t hear a word on this blog about the protesters breaking laws in Chicago and violently punching rally goers, calling them racist names and one pro black Donald Trump supporter was murdered with his pro-Trump t-shirt on, surrounded by anti-Trump signs.

  12. I’m not the attorney here, but isn’t this is an easy one?

Unprovoked attack (giving the finger certainly is not sufficient provocation – unless sticks and stones now break bones) and additional threats of violence constitute assault and battery in US criminal courts?

As nasty as this piece of 78 year old poop is, one almost feels sorry for him – Trump has been egging on his tard supporters to commit violence (there are many Trump quotes to this effect) and saying he’ll cover their legal bills after the fact. In Trump/conservative world racism and Nazism must proceed without check – no opposing views are ever allowed – and violence is always acceptable.

I haven’t read the earlier posts, but as the conservatives on this blog never take responsibility for anything, the posts above likely blame Hillary, Bernie, unions, etc…….. for the putrid conservative racism, xenophobia, antisemitism, and boatloads of hate that is behind this act of violence – and sadly other acts of violence ikely to follow.

    1. Bill W – when I was in high school, the kid in the row behind me gave me the finger and I jumped out of my desk and wopped him. The guy was being removed for saying something and then gives the crowd the finger, he is lucky only one person nailed him.

  14. The GOP has gone FASCIST… and now the GOP defends FASCISM…
Look at the GOP voters arguing to vote Trump. Look at the posters on this fascist blog site.

I call it fascist because the owner allows fascists and white supremacists to over run it…
… Maybe it’s sympathetic paigns? Jon???

    1. Max-1 – there is an article today comparing Trump to Patton. Personally, I think this blog is communistic because of all the people defending Bernie and his riot squads. BTW, communists can be white supremacists, too. Just ask some of the black communists who were unfortunate enough to go to the Soviet Union for training. They are Untermenchen.

  15. Please tell me, anyone, or post it if you’ve got it, Bernie Sanders inciting people to protest or try to shut down a Trump rally. If you have it, I’ll wait…

On the other hand, there are ample videos of Trump talking about punching people in the face, mocking disabled people, telling people if they beat up the guy with tomatoes he will pay their legal fees, and so on. He calls for waterboarding and more, says he will kill women and children, both clear violations of the Geneva Conventions. If it’s not incitement, then it’s as close as you can get.

I’ll wait for the “Bernie Sander tells supporters to shut down trump rally.” Anyone???

    1. phillyT – Sanders needs to disavow the people who shut down the rally in Chicago. If not he is to blame for his people. Same with Soros who paid to bus them there.

  16. @PaulCS

Shame on you! The liberal mind does not work off of “reason.” It is all some sort or personalized “feeling” thing. Look at the inherent contradictions presented by the liberal idiots above:

    1. Some gal at a Trump rally may be a racist, sooo all Trump supporters are racisssss!

    meanwhile

    2. Numerous Bernie supporters shut down a political rally in Chicago, yet not all Bernie supporters are fascists. As a matter of fact, even these fascists aren’t fascists — they’re activists or whatever.

Thinking is not real big in the liberal skill set.
