Wasserman Schultz Booed Off Stage By Florida Delegation . . . But Given Job By Clinton Campaign

Wasserman SchultzHillary_Clinton_Testimony_to_House_Select_Committee_on_BenghaziFormer Democratic Committee Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz was booed of the stage by the Florida delegates today as anger continued to rise over emails showing that the DNC actively undermined Bernie Sanders and sought to rig the primaries for Hillary Clinton.  Yet, in coming DNC interim chair (and Clinton supporter) Donna Brazile is calling for Wasserman Schultz to have a role at the convention as a reward for her past work.  In an equally tone deaf response, Clinton has given Wasserman Schultz a formal job with her campaign — as opposed to the informal job that her critics have long alleged.  The fact is that Wasserman Schultz has from the start been the most controversial DNC chair in the party’s history — well before the entrance of Bernie Sanders.  Her tenure has been divisive and destructive for the party.  The effort to reward her by party insiders like Brazile and bring her into the Clinton campaign only reaffirms the disconnect with voters.

Wasserman Schultz discussed her new role for the Clinton campaign as delegated booed her and chanted “shame” over the now confirmed secret campaign for Clinton at the DNC.  She will be the honorary chair of her campaign’s 50-state program.  Clinton heralded the past work and future role of Wasserman Schultz:

“I want to thank my longtime friend Debbie Wasserman Schultz for her leadership of the Democratic National Committee over the past five years.  I am grateful to Debbie for getting the Democratic Party to this year’s historic convention in Philadelphia, and I know that this week’s events will be a success thanks to her hard work and leadership. . . . There’s simply no one better at taking the fight to the Republicans than Debbie–which is why I am glad that she has agreed to serve as honorary chair of my campaign’s 50-state program to gain ground and elect Democrats in every part of the country, and will continue to serve as a surrogate for my campaign nationally, in Florida, and in other key states.

“I look forward to campaigning with Debbie in Florida and helping her in her re-election bid–because as President, I will need fighters like Debbie in Congress who are ready on day one to get to work for the American people.”

 

I would think that this is stating the obvious but the Clinton people might have wanted to wait a bit before giving Wasserman Schultz a position with the campaign when delegates are protesting that she was working for the campaign all along.  One look at the Florida delegation (which is Wasserman Schultz’s most supportive group) confirms that obvious point:

    “Unlike many here, I have to work at a real job.” what does that even mean? Again, as a Hilbot you are attempting to deflect as we take time to respond to various posts. Truth is that YOU are freaking out because the DNC convention was gonna be all kumbaya and we were gonna follow poor Bernie into the HRC fold. But that narrative isn’t working out is it?

    Berniebots are NOT gonna vote for HRC and the Donald is kicking it in the polls. But somehow it’s OUR fault? The DNC picked a seriously flawed candidate. Get over yourself. Vote Jill Stein or Trump!

    I think it’s time to freeze out SWM – she is obviously a Hilbot troll not interested at all in any sane exchange about issues. As they say, if you wrestle with a skunk the stink comes off on you. It’s just not worth any time and effort to waste time responding to her increasingly inane comments.

    Let HRC direct her Correct the Record folks elsewhere. As the marvelous Nina Turner puts it: “enough is enough”

  6. If the Clinton’s can’t get those pesky Bernie people to heel, look for them to play the race card. They will call Bernie voters “RAAACIST.” I saw that on other blogs during the primaries when Hillary was sweating like a whore in church as she lost primary after primary. .

    Have you read the e-mails? It doesn’t seem like you have because all the information you think doesn’t exist is right there. The e-mails clearly show voter disenfranchisement, financial fraud, anti Hispanic slurs, and other things such as “Pay to Play”.

    Over and over again, to include this thread, I have said Trump is should never be supported. How many times do I need to repeat that? it’s getting tiresome. I don’t agree that a third party has no chance. I also have not used personal attacks as you just did.

    So maybe you should read those e-mails and get it direct from the source– the DNC itself! Part of being a “grown up” is the ability to take in original source data which may be uncomfortable to one’s world view, but still deal with it, understanding its implications and being able to be honest about one’s group engaging in illegal and unethical behavior.

    Hmmm. Hillary and Hitler are a lot alike. Both of them excel at racial divisiveness. Hitler blamed the Jews for all of Germany’s problems, and Hillary blames white people for all of black people’s problems. Both Hitler and Hillary had a firewall of supporters who were willing to be violent for them. Hitler had his Brown Shirts, and Hillary has Black Lives Matter. Both Hillary and Hitler tried to circumvent the borders of their countries. Hitler through conquest and acquisition of Lebensraum, and Hillary through an “Open Borders” plan to stuff the ballot box for her party.

    Both the Nazi’s and the Democrats are “Party Uber Alles!” adherents, who care more for staying in power, than in actually improving the lives of their peeps! Hitler left Germany in ruins, and Hillary’s party leaves America’s bigger cities in ruins – – -Detroit, Chicago, Baltimore, Oakland, etc. Both Hitler and Hillary believe in gun control. Both support foreign wars that are not in their own country’s best interest. Both made great use of the Main Stream Media which is and was in cahoots with them. Both are extremely anti-Semitic. Remember Hillary’s “kike” statements, and other anti-Jewish slurs???

Maybe I was mindless for going into combat when my nation called, maybe I was mindless for entering law enforcement protecting those very people who now call me mindless.   17. Hitler and Trump have one thing in common. They attract those who are angry, frustrated, fallen short. Hitler and Trump attract those who see things as the result of one source of problems and that can be fixed with one fix, one move, a big move. Trump will solve the proximity of the US to Mexico and their incredibly different economies by building a wall. You see, problem solved. Trump will solve the problem of terrorism in the US by simply throwing out people and not letting anymore in. You see, problem solved. Trump has an answer for everything, one answer, one fix, it’s easy just vote for me, I alone.

    Typically the groups that are attracted to these carnival barkers, fist pounders, simpletons are the marginalized few who because of race, economic positions, lack of abilities, lack of education, lack of being able to develop more than one thought at a time. What is scary, really scary, is that it seems that that may be up to half of all Americans, hopefully not half or more. Stick with the complicated sleaze that is Clinton. At least she understands that it is a complicated, multifaceted, no simple singular answer world.

    So, close your eyes, step on the gas, and kiss your a** goodbye. Trump supporter, “That’s another thing that burns my a**.” Donald, “What’s that grasshopper.” Trump supporter, “A grass fire about three feet high.” Donald, “I’ll fix that too, I alone.”

    I am fine with anti-Trump trolls, too. But maybe it would be better to be a well-informed troll? Go to the right wing websites and try to put yourself in the shoes of people, like me, who support Trump. Try to understand why he lights our bulbs, and not just the standard Democrat’s “they’re racisssst!” or “they’re anti-Semitic” nonsense. Really try to understand us. You might be surprised. And even if you aren’t, you will make abetter troll.
