Just two days before the election, FBI Director James Comey has announced that the new emails found on Huma Abedin’s computer does not change his earlier conclusion in July that there is no basis to criminally charge Hillary Clinton over her use of a private server, including emails containing classified information.
Comey wrote the letter below to Congress stating “Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Sec Clinton.”
Clinton Director of Communications Jennifer Palmieri immediately declared that the scandal was over:
‘We have seen Director Comey’s latest letter to the Hill. We are glad to see that he has found, as we were confident that he would, that he has confirmed the conclusion that he reached in July, and we’re glad that this matter is resolved.”
The quick dismissal of the importance of the emails will likely fuel criticism over Comey’s October 28th letter to Congress on the continuation of the investigation. Most assumed that the new emails had to contain material that would warrant such a departure from the general policy of the Justice Department to avoid actions or statements that might influence an election. According to Comey, however, it only took a few days to determine that the emails were significant enough to warrant a criminal charge.

I suppose this comes as no surprise.
If Comey refused to recommend charges when Hillary broke the law regarding 35,000 emails, why would 650,000 make a difference? He inexplicably re-wrote the statute to require intent, which she showed when she lied about it, broke her devices with a hammer, and all those emails went back and forth between aides talking about the problem. Perhaps Huma may face consequences, yet another friend’s career ruined in the wake of the Clintons. After all, it was her laptop. And any emails about the pay to play in the Clinton Foundation, we now know will be ignored by the DOJ, which directed the FBI not to investigate it.
We can add the DOJ to the Democratic State Controlled government institutions of the IRS and the EPA. Should Hillary win, the Supreme Court will likewise be even more politicized and weaponized against conservatives.
We are, in effect, creating a dictatorship. We may complain about it later as our rights are stripped away, but we enabled it to happen. If it was “our party”, we looked away from behavior that would have made us savage had it been “the other side.”
We will get the country that we deserve.

Wikileaks shows that Hillary’s camp favored Trump as the most beatable candidate. Pretty much every single other Republican candidate would have handily tromped scandal riddled, corrupt Hillary.
She directed the media to focus on Trump, “elevating” him, and all the headlines of her and Trump helped coalesce Republican support around him. You’ve got to hand it to her, she is a master of manipulation and avoiding consequences.
With such a broad field, I always wondered how the least liked candidate managed to win the primary.
Now we know. Hillary colluded with the media and the DNC to cheat. And then there were all those reports of Democrats “turning Republican” and voting in the primary.
Most people in this election are voting against someone rather than for someone. Without someone people were afraid of, to vote against, there would be little to no motivation for Democrats to go for Hillary.
The DNC, rather than keeping the primaries fair and giving everyone an equal shot, cheated to put a weak candidate like Hillary first. And then they cheated to put a Republican with personality flaws first. And then colluded with the media to help Hillary during debates. The media even ignored shocking email dumps, including such phrases she used such as “needy Latinos”, a phrase that would have killed any Republican’s aspirations for President. They blamed the Russians. Can you imagine if a wife found out her husband cheated, and he told her, but honey, you would have never found out if the Russians hadn’t hacked your phone! It’s not fair I got caught! Should the wife forgive and forget because of “ze Russians?”
Aren’t people getting tired of being used and manipulated yet? Of all the corruption, pay to play, and the lies? This is like a Third World Country.
If Hillary was anyone else, her security clearance would have been yanked, she would never work in a secure environment again, and she’d probably spend some time in jail, for the mishandling of classified information alone. Petreus handed information to a girlfriend who did have clearance, and his career was ruined, he paid a huge fine, and he barely avoided jail, as a nod to all his decades of service, risking his life for our country. Risking death for us over the years earned him a get out of jail card, as a thanks for old times’ sake. But Hillary uploaded classified information to the damn Cloud, directed staff to remove Classified headers to send over unsecured fax machines, used her Blackberry in countries infamous for electronic surveillance and hacking and hostile to America, kept her server in her house where her cleaning ladies and gardeners and any person who showed up for a party (including donors from foreign nations in the Middle East, damn it!) could have strolled in, her attorneys who had no clearance at all went through the emails…the list just goes on and on. She showed intent with exculpatory lies, lost laptops, smashed phones.
Aren’t you just tired of it all yet? Worried about a dictatorship? Can’t you just pretend this is a Mad Lib, and replace Hillary and the DNC with Trump and the RNC? Let me explain it to you like I would my 6 year old. If you would be upset if the other party did it, then DON’T DO IT.

The Democratic Party controls the DOJ, IRS, EPA, media, etc. If Trump gets elected, he will be unable to be a dictator, because those agencies are controlled by a single political party, rather than any elected President. Perhaps, if he was elected, the country would actually feel motivated to re-establish the separation of those agencies from the Presidency. Reform and reinvigorate the separation of powers. As a former Democrat and deal maker, he may be more willing than other candidates to negotiate across the aisle.
Hillary, however, would have the reins of powerful government agencies and the media which were intended to remain impartial and non political. What kind of temptation does that pose for any human being, let alone one who had the ovaries to propose to the King of Monaco that he pay her $12 million for a few moments of her time? (Panicked aides worried about the optics of buying a Presidential candidate’s favors, got her to agree to send her husband and daughter instead, which made it completely OK.)

I don’t care what your political affiliations are, if none of this is prosecuted and Clinton is elected, then we will have just turned the Executive Branch into the most powerful mafia enterprise on the planet. While it would be a short task to identify duplicates, I don’t think identifying classified information could be so easily identified. What keywords are used to identify classified information?
I thought it was an elective replying to two above. I did my studies in the 60’s to begin with and just did a review using Hillsdale College off campus program. No charge on a variety of subjects to give them a plug. They are also one of two colleges in the nation that does not take government funding of any kind.
Back to the real question that no, for sure no one in the media seems to have asked.
Who was the culprit that failed to ensure Clinton had her security briefing, obtained the required signature gave the no less than annual updates and any special considerations during the year?
Every Department and Agency in Government has one individual in charge of their Security Program. That individual has a name and a title. Also a filing cabinet, group of assistants and computerized records.
IF Clinton didn’t take the required training then one of two things happened.
a. She had a piece of paper saying she had received it elsewhere – signed by some body
b. Her own State Department (and this is most likely) did one of two things.
1. Failed to ensure she had the required briefings for four years for whatever reasons and made a written record of each and every attempt then reported it to one of three agencies. CIA, DIA, Congress as required by law

2. Failed to ensure she had the required briefings for four years and failed to keep a record or if a record was kept report to the Agencies overall in charge of the security effort.
Either way that individual was also culpable. The FBI Investigation should have included that as well as the names of the people and agencies the failures to whom the failures were reported.
The third possibility was a wink and a nod cover up.
It also means she ran that Department without regard to rules, regulations, procedures but rather using personal whims and was a failure in the job as a result. How many others got a pass. Chelsea, Chelseas housemaid, Her entire personal staff starting with bag lady Abedein.
So what I want to know is, since someone HAS to be at fault, who hung for it?

A point you have failed to consider is this: Classification authority and responsibility flow down from the President to each Executive Branch department or agency. Within each department or agency, the head (e.g,, Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense, Attorney General, etc.) is the ultimate classification authority within that department or agency. The “one individual in charge of their Security Program” is a surrogate for and subordinate to the head of the department or agency. Not an independent actor who can contradict or supplant the head.

The CNN report I saw stated that an FBI official confirmed that the Huma Abedin/ Weiner laptop did contain classified State Dept. material.
The official did not say how much, or the level(s) of classification.
But the official emphasized that this was about INTENT, so he downplayed the classified material issues.
There may be more info that will ( or has) come out…..based on the early reports I’ve seen, it doesn’t look like the FBI was really focused on the amount or content of the material in the absence of “intent”.
Huma says she doesn’t know how the emails got on the laptop…..that says something about how careful the people at State were on handling classified material.

Jay S – the headers on the documents say they are classified.
During the Reagan Presidency he was tasked by the Congress to set up a system of National Security including rules, regulations, procedures and oversight choosing which existing Departments or Agencies would get the job. As I recall it is Title 50 and the agency is NSA or National Security Agency.
At the top of the document and at the bottom the security classification starts and finishes each document with Confidential, Secret, or Top Secret in the center of a row of asterick symbols.
In addition each level maybe compartmentalized under the ‘need to know’ rule in several different ways. Rank means nothing. Apparantly the use of abbreviations C, S, and TS have been added. However I do remember that intent was never part of the charges that’s something Comey added on his own. I also know that repetitive violations added to a chronic inability to be truthful were in the mix for denial of a clearance or withdrawing a clearance.
Anyone refusing to attend a security briefing was automatically put on report, in writing, no exceptions.

When the FBI states it FOUND classified material, that does not mean that they ( the FBI) classified it.
You just muddle the issue by suggesting that the FBI can’t classify other departments material.
