Trump Posts Video Showing Him Physically Attacking CNN Figure

150709164948-donald-trum-wwe-photo-super-169As discussed yesterday, President Donald Trump has said the he will not yield in his continuing tweets with personal or insulting attacks on the media, political opponents, and journalists.  To drive that point vividly home, he re-posted  a video showing him punching a man with the CNN logo on his head during a wrestling match.  It seems a posting designed to virtually taunt his aides and allies on the Hill who have tried to convey to him that these tweets are alienating allies and costing the GOP critical time and energy.

With the raising anger and threats directed at the media, it is a chilling and irresponsible post from anyone, let alone the President of the United States.

The video follows tweets calling out CNN saying, “I am thinking about changing the name #FakeNews CNN to #FraudNewsCNN!” The video is altered from  from WrestleMania 23 in 2007.

Here is the video:

CNN has responded with the following statement:

“It is a sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters. Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the President had never done so. Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill, he is instead involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his.”

  1. I really cannot believe that we have such a person as President. Bad enough here but wondering how other country’s leaders perceive their ability to trust and/or work with him

    1. Yes Martha you still believe the Russians are coming and Kate’s Law should not have been passed. Hahahaha.

    2. So Martha you prefer the genial Obama “slow jamming” the news trying to undercut our sovereignty via the TPP?

  2. I for one am tired of CNN, MSLSD and a better post would have been The Meaning of the 4th of July. Something about this great nation and those who have and are sacrificing for her and all of us, especially those young men and woman away from their families.

  3. LOL

The media richly deserves every bit of this

Im sorry but the Left has brought this on themselves. Its about damn time a GOP politician defended themselves. Not only is he defending himself but hes beating their asses in the process.

Is it what we want to see from a President? Well I ask you , is this first, what we have been seeing out of our ‘press’ the past 30 years what we want from a ‘Free Press’ aka the 4th Estate?

For every action their is a reaction. We have had no less than 30 years of absolutely AWFUL media. Complete bias. Lying fake news that pummel and insult every Conservative and even Neo-Con politicians all while turning a complete blind eye to the Democrats.

Im sorry while this might not be ideal from a President, its what is NEEDED from a President. We need someone to take the press and beat their faces in and then rub their faces into their own feces that they pass off as journalism.

    1. People seem to have quit talking about Russia for the time being and are now talking about what a violent man we have as president.

    2. So, what is the proper role for the media with respect to Trump? To kiss his backside every day? To keep telling him how wonderful he is?

  4. Forget that it’s the cameo-actor from Fresh Prince of Bel Air for a moment and instead recognize that the federal government is attempting to intimidate the free press: irrespective of whether you agree with the media’s coverage or not.

If Obama whined about the media half as much, the NRA and the frequent commenters here would be buying guns and melting faster than they already melt.

    Trump is pathetic.

    1. It’s guns
      It’s ammo that gets purchased
Here’s the dilemma for the soldier of fortune types
If crap really does hit the fan where are they going to get gasoline?
There is not one pump in this country that is not attached to a satellite.
The gas pumps just like GPS can be shut off in an instant by the Feds.
Interesting times President Trump is exposing.
      We’ll make it
MSM advertisers should be concerned about potential boycotts
That’s all that’s left on the peaceful side

      1. If people really want to stop the media, stop donating to politicians and PACs. All that money is spent on the media.

  5. Thunder Lips “The Ultimate Male” asked meatball if it was all fake in the ring. Here’s the video.

  6. We once had a President who was called Give Em Hell Harry. I liked him too.
    Give em Hell Donald!

  7. The Orange Man cometh.
    Not talking about meth here.

    CNN was terrible last night.

  8. I find I cannot care…. despite exhortations from Great Cuban Floridian Patriots such as Ana Navarro, who I just saw on This Week, very nearly in [crocodile] tears over this… and lecturing us all. Wasn’t the shooter in the baseball game a Bernie volunteer? She worked hard to say Trump is exhorting violence with this vid.

    It’s laughable really.

There is a twitter running around with a clip of Mika and Joe saying or insinuating that Trump is homosexual, from a few weeks back…. That surely is a waste of such high journalistic fervor as they exhibit. The biggest joke recently is MSM and many D declaring them to b “journalists”.

    In what universe?

I did not vote for Trump but I do understand he is a natural flip away from Obama. A tired stick of an odd human with a heavy overlay of “I am the Preacher and Teacher you need”. I found that offensive frankly… and god it was DULL.

Didn’t vote for him either and the schtick got old really fast. So far I am still entertained by Trumpet.

    1. “A tired stick of an odd human with a heavy overlay of “I am the Preacher and Teacher you need”. I found that offensive frankly… and god it was DULL.”

      Great description of Obama.

      1. Thanks, he just was so dreary. And often when I read the spew of complaints about Trump… I remember tidbits about Black Reagan. It did trickle out, his many, many evenings alone, glued to ESPN and other sports programs. And it was clear he was happiest when a sports team, the whole team came to the WH and brought him toys. There never was a proper expose of his Chicago enablers, tho much could be found, here and there.. None of it pretty, in the least.

He seemed most adept at, and I think it was the job he really worked at, sucking up to the wealthy whites. The thin slice at the top of the 1% And he certainly is now touring some of the most high priced resorts. And ego driven enough to meddle.

  9. Hey, JT, does your hypocrisy never take a vacation . . . even in the spirit of the 4th of July?

I guess not. So what happened to your purportedly strong stance on free speech? Did that go out the window?

Of course, it was never “inside your window” to begin with. Your purported stance on free speech is, and always has been, as phony as a three dollar bill.

In your perverse world, free speech doesn’t apply to Trump. Free speech only applies to those who want to see Trump murdered like Julius Caesar . . . or worse, right, JT?

    1. You must have read a different comment by Professor Turley than I did. No where did he said Trump doesn’t have the right to say what he said. He said “With the raising anger and threats directed at the media, it is a chilling and irresponsible post from anyone, let alone the President of the United States.”. That is a comment on Trump’s comment not a restriction of free speech.

      1. Gabby, YOU are the person who has read a “different comment.” Reading is Fundamental–RIF. Nowhere in JT’s article does he mention “free speech.” Nor is the article even tagged under “free speech.” And calling his Tweets and his other histrionics as “chilling and irresponsible” is, in fact, Turley’s way of attacking Trump’s free speech.

Now, contrast JT’s response to the pseudo-Shakespeare in Central Park depicting Trump’s murder vividly in the guise of presenting “Julius Caesar.” For those of us who hold values of decency and freedom and applauded those who made a public statement during the play potesting the play, JT called that an “objectionable effort to stop free speech.” JT added, “Indeed, it seeks to prevent both artistic and political expression.” JT’s article itself is TAGGED under “free speech.” https://jonathanturley.org/2017/06/17/the-fault-is-not-in-the-stars-protester-stops-controversial-julius-caesar-performance-in-central-park/

Your attempt to defend JT’s hypocrisy fails miserably. His hypocrisy is obvious; so obvious that, indeed, he seems almost proud of it.

        RIF. Try it.

        1. Really that’s your argument. As the old saying goes you are comparing apples and oranges. There was no attempt here by Turley to shut Trump down. Just as the actors in the play have a right to say what they want, and the protestor has a right to object to what was said, we all have a right including Turley to give our opinions on all three. To construe that as shutting down free speech is ludicrous.
Donald Trump is a 71 year old man who should have seasoned maturity by now. He promised the people of this country that he would stop the behavior he showed on the campaign trail and respect the office of President. Instead we have someone in the highest office in the land who is less mature than his own 11 year old son.

          1. Gabby – what we have in the WH is someone who plays by sandbox rules. If you are going to call him names, you are going to get called names back.

  10. Completely agree INlegaleagle and Jeff Norman!! This isn’t the time to be sitting politely on your hands and whining about liberal BS. Time to take this fight seriously and win no matter the cost.

  11. If the Clinton News Network actually did its job, instead of creating fake news, the President wouldn’t be doing this. The irony of their statement is startling.

    1. Say, Paul, which CNN stories to you believe to be fake? And based on what evidence?

        1. Editing is managing, All TV is stage managed. When a journalist frames himself in front of dead bodies to give his report it is managed.
The real “news” was the attack itself.
Mark Dice managed his real? news? report. And his viewers.

          1. You’re attempting to defend the indefensible with “stage managing?” Good Grief. 🙄 Mark Dice is a You Tube personality…instead of comparing apples and oranges, you are comparing apples and rocks. Unbelievable.

      1. Jay S – at this point, all of them. Zuckers head is on the line with the AT&T takeover and some of the on-air untalent should be just as nervous.

  12. Trump is a complete embarrassment to this country. I have been a republican my whole life but will be voting for the democrat in 2020 if Trump is the GOP CANDIDATE.

    1. Joel, does that mean you will vote for a candidate the will nominate to the Supreme Court a Justice Ginsberg instead of a Neil Gorsuch?

    2. Rest assured Joel there will be someone casting an equally ignorant vote for the other candidate, effectively nullifying your vote.

      Thanks for playing.

  13. Doesn’t JT think it is more important to focus on policy? I understand an occasional discussion of these tweets, but after awhile it becomes non productive more of something a voyeur would be doing to gratify himself.

Let’s hear a bit more about the law.

  14. After all the lies and innuendo now we are just victims. No more collusion, obstruction and attacks on his family now the dishonest media is a victim. Give me a break. Tell us who unmasked Americans and give us the names of those anonymous sources.

    1. Don’t know why my post was printed twice but the Republicans might learn and fight back, the Dums would.

  15. After all the lies and innuendo now we are just victims. No more collusion, obstruction and attacks on his family now the dishonest media is a victim. Give me a break. Tell us who unmasked Americans and give us the names of those anonymous sources.

  16. Public figures who attack reporters have mental issues. Trump has shown that he lacks dignity– he’d be better off to use humour ala JFK– but he lacks the wit & self-confidence to do so.

That said, modern day hypocrisy abounds: politicos are held to a different standard than are entertainers. Okay, fair enough. But then nobody should take entertainers seriously when they pontificate on politics or public issues.

An example is the self-aggrandizing, over-rated pop-mediocrity Bjork who is forgiven although she advocates bestiality & who has also attacked a reporter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zj2cMomNz94

If as a society, we demand civility in public figures–then perhaps we should not be so willing to let celebrities get away with the worse kind of abuse of people and animals too, for that matter.

    1. Kathy Griffin held up a severed bloody head representing Trump for “comedy.” CNN took 48 hours to fire her, during which time CNN approved of having Griffin on their payroll. CNN reporters actually cried on camera when Trump won. CNN and every single MSM outlet except Fox, and including Jesus Obama, LOL at the Q whether Trump could win. When Mika Brzeznski posited that Trump had some chance greater than ZERO of winning, her colleagues scorned and ridiculed her. MSM news except for Fox endorses and encourages every form of degeneracy known to mankind, especially war anywhere/anytime/for any reason (even Fox at least one time broadcast Judge Napolitano calling Bush and Obama criminals for their illegal undeclared wars…Fox wrongly fired the Judge for his “trespass”).

MSM and CNN in particular cry only crocodile tears about Trump’s Tweets. Their response is to cry out to Twitter to close Trump’s account, e.g. get someone else to fight the war they started and perpetuate. This proves Trump’s Tweets degrade MSM’s self image. Trump trumps the MSM in this war.

What you can not criticize is your God. MSM is not my God, nor Trump’s.

      1. “What you can not criticize is your God. MSM is not my God, nor Trump’s.”

What cannot be criticized also shows who is in power. Corporate-MSM has failed the American people: they colluded with the corrupt Clintons who rigged the DNC Primary and cheated Bernie Sanders & ergo, We the People. Instead of exposing the crimes committed by the Clinton-cabal, they have perpetuated Hillary/Podesta’s Russia-Gate lies.

A free press is vital to a healthy democracy–but the corporate-MSM are not a free press: they are a corporate-fascist entity owned by oligarchs who push the Deep State agenda: Wall Street; Wars for Profit; the Military Industrial Complex; Monsanto; etc. We should demand that the media-corporations be broken up: they will destroy the US before they allow the citizens to exercise our rights. Refer to: http://www.businessinsider.com/these-6-corporations-control-90-of-the-media-in-america-2012-6

That said, Trump should be more clever in exposing the corporate-MSM. He should use the sword of wit ala JFK, not a bludgeon. After all, he is the President of the United States of America– and he should remember that his behaviour & words carry force. He is crude: that’s his nature. But he would win over more support if he were simply to state the facts; stick to the important issues; and not engage with the most mediocre, foolish entertainers ala Mika & Joe, for example, or celebs.

My beef is that the chattering classes shout & decry Trump’s behaviour, whilst turning a blind-eye to the same violence & vulgar acts by celebrity entertainers. Apparently, it’s fine and dandy to attack Trump because he is not an attractive character–but when a cutish pixie (I use the pop-mediocrity Bjork as an example) attacks reporters; advocates the rape of animals: bestiality; has pics taken of herself masturbating & posted on-line: these same chatterers say nothing. It’s hypocrisy of the most banal form.

  17. hahaha – Trump is refreshingly hilarious. Lighten up JT. And, Happy Independence Day America !

    1. Your right Jeff. Only a couple weeks ago they were pounding away about the Russians are coming now we are just victims of President Trump.
