crowd vj dayLast night, we passed the 43,000,000 mark in views on the blog. The blog continues to grow at a record and accelerating pace. The continued growth is due primarily to our loyal readers who return every day to discuss contemporary legal, political, and occasionally bizarre stories. We have used these moments to give thanks for our many regular readers around the world and give you an idea of the current profile of readers on the blog. We continue to rank with the top legal blogs in the world  and I am particularly proud of our growing international readership. As always, I want to offer special thanks for Darren Smith who has continued to help manage the blog and help out folks who encounter posting problems.

  1. Apparently people are still interested in the law. Most Americans are blissfully unaware of this wonderful thing that we have called the Constitution which as far as I know is unique in the world. Without it, all of those rights we take for granted become privileges to be doled out at will. It’s sad that that’s what a lot of people seem to think they want. Thank you for your hard work on the blog and for caring about the law and defending it. That’s truly a service to posterity because we are teetering on the brink. Now, for the love of heaven would you please hire a proofreader.

  3. Greetings from NZ. This blog is part of my daily ritual. I am trying to convince my 20 yr old son that if he wants a balanced view of the important arguments around free speech and other issues, this is where he should come. I lean more right than the author of this blog, but I find the commentary here to well and truly pass the ‘fair and balanced’ test. This is a very important voice! Cheers.

  8. It’s the Twilight Zone. An interview with the commentators

    Where are we? What are we? Who are we? Those are the questions we asked ourselves. Nameless things with no memory.

    1. The American Founders blazed the trail out of the hellish existence depicted in this Twilight Zone episode. Doubt and confusion as to the freedom of men are the reasons the American Founders gave Americans maximal individual freedoms, rights, privileges and immunities through the Constitution and Bill of Rights, as they severely limited and restricted Congress and government to the simple provision of security and infrastructure. The problem with America; the singular American failure for 231 years, has been and remains the Supreme Court. The Supreme court, through many multiple treasonous and capital offenses, has abused power it does not possess and usurped power provided to the legislative and executive branches. The Supreme Court has failed in its sole charge which is merely to assure that actions comport with law and fundamental law – the “manifest tenor” of that law. The corruption of the judicial branch must be excised utterly. The mechanism provided for such excision is impeachment and has not been employed by the dishonorable, corrupt and treasonous, anti-Constitutional, anti-American elected representatives in Congress. The trail out of the depicted hellish existence has not be taken by elected officials. The restricted-vote of the restricted-vote republic has been corrupted while one man, one vote democracy always leads to dictatorship and a politically hellish existence.

  10. I can think of several reasons why your site is getting so many views. You allow comments even when they are not part of the current indoctrination/narrative regarding systemic racism, etc. Since fewer websites and publications are presenting viewpoints beyond a narrow spectrum, your site is a breath of fresh air. Additionally, you provide viewpoints that aren’t always one-sided or of just of one persuasion;I believe that some of the people here are trying to talk you out of some of those viewpoints because you threaten the current narrative and you’re not a Democrat who toes the line when the line is unethical, immoral, illogical, racist or repulsive.

    1. I’m sure when you used the word ‘sain’ you meant the adjective ‘sane’ instead of the verb,’sain’ but both are appropriate and good in their own ways.
