Despite the alleged attempted murder of Justice Brett Kavanaugh, the pro-choice group Ruth Sent Us descended upon the home of Justice Amy Coney Barrett and her family within 24 hours of the arrest. Now, the group has posted information on where Justice Barrett goes to church and where her children go to school. It is another example of our age of rage. Indeed, it is an example of the rage addiction that has taken hold of many in the country where even potentially targeting the children of a judge or justice is considered fair game.
This is not the first time that the far left has used the children of Justice Barrett as political fodder. Barrett sat through days of such baseless attacks on her character, but even had to face attacks referencing her children. Ibram X. Kendi, the director of the Center for Antiracist Research at Boston University, claimed that her adoption of two Haitian children raised the image of a “white colonizer” and suggested that the children were little more than props to their mother.
During the recent protests, pro-choice protesters engaged in sexist and offensive verbal attacks on Barrett and her family. One protester dressed as a Handmaid declared “It’s also possible that the fact that she’s an adoptive mother is influencing her inability to see what it’s like to carry a pregnancy to term.” Justice Barrett has seven children and only two are adopted.
Yet, the posting of information on school of these children is particularly chilling. It shows how unhinged these people have become in their reckless and incendiary rhetoric.
It is a good thing that you cannot defame the dead under the common law. Justice Ginsburg would have been mortified by this group using her name for such harassment of her colleagues. Ginsburg publicly denounced efforts to pack the Court and she was closest on the Court to her conservative colleague Justice Antonin Scalia.
We have had these moments before in our politics. Ironically, the prior abuse was directed at the left. It is now the signature of many on the left who have discarded any sense of civility or decency in attacking those who hold opposing viewpoints.
I keep hearing that it is against the law to picket a SCJ home. Yet it has been going on for several days. What are the cops doing about it? Are they down to “pick and chose” which laws they are enforcing. I bet if i ran a stop sign or traffic light there would be no choice. Why, it’s against the law. Yet they want to pass another law I guess to enforce the laws already on the books…..Crime is not going to stop till we stop it.
What are the cops—or ANY law enforcement doing about anything that doesn’t support the Leftist/commie agenda? They typically stand down and watch with folded arms. The ever-conspiring, totally corrupted FBI does nothing to the criminal element, preferring to chase and prosecute anyone resisting the Left wing scheme—all under the guise of “protecting democracy”. Do these look Red/Communist ‘Rules to overpower America’ look “vaguely” familiar and presently in full effect? Throw in the contrived “plandemic” and its devastating toll on the country and you have a complete synopsis of a ‘work of evil nearing completion’……

2. Get control of all means of publicity.
3. Get people’s minds off their government by focusing their attention on athletics, sexy books and other trivialities.
4. Divide the people into hostile groups by constantly harping on controversial matters of no importance.
5. Destroy the people’s faith in their natural leaders by holding the latter up to contempt, ridicule and obloquy.
6. Always preach true democracy, but seize power as fast and as ruthlessly as possible.
7. By encouraging government extravagance, destroy its credit and produce fear of inflation with rising prices and general discontent.
8. Foment unnecessary strikes in vital industries, encourage civil disorders, and foster a lenient and soft attitude on the part of government toward such disorders.
9. By specious argument cause the breakdown of the old moral virtues, honesty, sobriety, continence, faith in the pledged word, ruggedness.
10. Cause the registration of all firearms on some pretext, with a view to confiscating them and leaving the populace helpless.
You should read the law. You’ll find that sometimes it’s illegal and other times it’s legal.

Mr. Turley, It is past the useful moment to continue to bring up what Justice Ginsburg would or would not have thought or reference her friendships. As well, we all know that we have had “these moments before in our politics”. These statements are inadequate under the current circumstances.
The actions of Ruth Sent Us appear to have the intent of intimidating sitting justices and their family members. And, given the recent events surrounding Justice Kavanaugh, these actions would appear to include encouraging bodily harm. Such actions would be a violation of U.S. Code. (Title 18 Part I Chapter 7 SS 115.). The question now is whether the law will be enforced against Ruth Sent US or similar groups and individuals. The apparent failure of Mr. Garland in this regard is of great concern. However, the failure of law scholars, legal ethicists and legal public commentators to loudly and repeatedly demand adherence to this law is beyond disappointing as such violations strike at the very core of justice. One key point, why hasn’t Biden said one word about the attack on Kavanaugh? He released a statement but he hasn’t actually addressed it himself. If this was an attack by the right every single Republican from senators down to state reps would be asked about it day after day.
One last “key” point, this is possibly the last straw for the public’s patience with the media. The bias on display here is beyond the pale and may just be the final nail in the media credibility coffin. In this same line of reasoning I quickly clicked on my former hometown rag, the Boston Globe, I dropped my subscription ten years ago but I can still see the headlines, and it was all about Jan. 6 with nary a word about Kavanaugh or inflation. On the very bottom there was a story about Biden’s reaction the the economic news, but no real story about the inflation NEWS. If Trump was still in office they would be going to poor peoples houses and showing us that they can’t buy food or medicine or gas to drive or heat their homes. In the old days there was only a homeless crises when a Republican was in office the same way that Code Pink disappeared the moment G W Bush was out and Obama was in.

There was never any attempt on the life of Justice Kavanaugh. A mentally unstable man traveled from CA to MD. He took a cab to Kavanaugh’s home, but before taking any further action, called 9-1-1 and reported himself and told the police that he needed “psychiatric help.” He was promptly arrested for “attempted murder,” an overblown charge that will never stand, given that he thankfully changed his mind and reported himself prior to attempting any violence at all, much less murder. The man told the police that he got Kavanaugh’s address “on the internet.” So the real issue is why Congress has not passed a law allowing people to opt out of having their personal information sold by data brokers on the internet. For $20 I can find out where anyone in the country lives, as well as other personal information. I can type anyone’s name on Google and be met with a half-dozen offers to purchase their personal information. Why doesn’t Congress pass a law for anyone – not just federal judges – to opt out if they choose to, and protect themselves from identity thieves, stalkers and criminals? The reason, obviously, is that the data brokers are more influential with politicians than you or I. It’s all about influence peddling.

Didn’t see the video. I think anyone demonstrating at a Justice’s house regarding a decision yet to be made is violating the law and should be arrested. Peaceful or not they are seeking to influence a decision in a place where the law prohibits them from so doing. Reasonable time, place and manner restrictions are permitted under the first amendment and restrictions regarding a Justice’s residence are reasonable in my view.
To me their activities in the video seem fharmless and protected by the first amendment.
That’s what arraignments and trials sort out. There intent is in their actions. Why are they there? No decision to protest, but after the fact is useless. SCOTUS is NOT a place the people can seek redress from their Government. SCOTUS is guided by the constitution. We either support the Judicial branch, or not. Which side are you on?

Let local law enforcement determine the potential violation. If I were their neighbor, I would likely file a disturbing the peace complaint.
When they published the children’s information, I lost all sympathy. That is wrong on every level. This is not a spontaneous protest. The core of these are activists who intend to subvert the process.
Protest peacefully in front of the Supreme Court in the streets? No problem. Never at a politician or appointed person’s personal residence. Never. No matter who they are, Democrat, Republican, Communist, Independent, etc. It is wrong!

This is never okay! If any senator, member of congress, media personality or any other “thought leader” does not passionately condemn this act of intimidation, they have lost any remaining grain of respect or credibility. He should have released the Courts decision within 72 hours, and he should have voted in the majority to make it a solid 6-3 decision. Like I said the day Roberts announced the SCOTUS Marshall service was in charge of the investigation into the leak. Roberts knew then and has no intention of ever finding the leaker.

We cannot establish their ultimate objectives, though, historically, they do not seem to care about human life where their interests are at stake. An example would be the riots by BLM and Antifa.
