The debate last night was chilling for many citizens as President Joe Biden clearly struggled to stay focused and responsive. It appeared to put on display what Special Counsel Robert Hur saw in his interview before concluding that Biden’s loss of mental capacity would make a prosecution difficult. What may be equally troubling for Democrats and the media is a poll that came out just before the debate that shows more swing-state voters see former President Donald Trump rather than President Joe Biden as protecting democracy.
According to a new poll from the Washington Post and the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University, if “democracy is on the ballot,” the majority of the public believes that threat comes from elsewhere, including possibly Biden himself.
Over half of the respondents told the Washington Post that threats to democracy are extremely important to their vote for president. However, 44% said they think Trump would do a better job at handling those threats. Only 33% of respondents said they believe Biden would be better for democracy.
Many citizens are alarmed by prosecutions like the one in Manhattan where the legal system seems to have been weaponized against political opponents.
The poll not only shows the diminishing faith in the President but also in the press. The media has been unrelenting in pushing the narrative that this election is a choice between democracy and tyranny. The public is clearly tuning out the media message. This is only the latest example of that widening gap. Indeed, the whole “Let’s Go Brandon” chant is as much a criticism of the media as it is President Biden.
I have previously written that democracy is not on the ballot but free speech is. The Biden Administration has chilling analogies to the Adams Administration in the weaponization of the legal system and the crackdown on free speech. What should most concern Biden is the possibility of another aspect of history repeating itself: a defeat like the one in 1800.
As I discuss in my new book, The Indispensable Right, President John Adams, used the Alien and Sedition Acts to arrest his political opponents – including journalists, members of Congress and others. Many of those prosecuted by the Adams administration were Jeffersonians. In the election of 1800, Thomas Jefferson ran on the issue and defeated Adams.
The anti-free speech movement has flourished largely in the echo chambers of academia and the media. It is time for the public to render its judgment. Free speech is again on the ballot. It is time for the public to decide.
I watched the debate. The choice is clear.
On the one hand we have a lying sack of feces that can’t tell truth from anything. Everything he does is the best that has ever existed since the universe was created 15 billion years ago. And everything anyone else does is the worst that has ever been done since the universe was created.
On the other hand is an old guy that has policy positions that work but he is well past his prime.
Sad so many people are going for the lying sack of feces.
Yup, those policy decisions are so great that 37% of the people like the way the country is going.
This will be the move, the policies are great, it is just Joe Biden that is the problem. The same Joe Biden that just yesterday they were telling is is as sharp as a tack in meetings but today he has to go????
Maybe they want to be able to buy food in a grocery store rather than a dollar store.
None of Joe’s policy positions have worked, or have any chance of working. His domestic policy has a disaster from day one and his foreign policy has been even worse. He’s even been a terrible democrat. His policies have hurt his voting base more than anyone else. High inflation hurts low income people the most, in just about every way possible, illegal immigration hurts low skilled workers and those on public assistance the most. Joe has been a crooked liar his entire life. His entire family has made a cottage industry around him his entire career. His failures as a human being have nothing to do with his obvious senility. About all you can say at this point is that he might be too senile to even know if he’s lying….so you have that going for you.
Please stop letting the left control the dialogue. Democracy is rule by the mob which is what democrats want. We have a Republic with laws and a constitution which civilized people have agreed to be governed by. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the USA and to the Republic for which it stands.

The present president was working without a full deck in 2020 and anybody who has had any sort of practice in assessing people with less than normal mental competence, could tell that. In spite of that being obvious, we know that politics rules everything and I saw “physicians” who said, at that time, that Joe was OK. Really! Any physician with half a brain could have told you there was a candidate on the stage who had even less than half a brain. And, SURPRISINGLY to these same people, the problem got even worse. Who could have predicted that??
These were the same people who said Trump was psychotic, demented and worse. Trump is a specific personality type, big ego, speaks in hyperbole like a master salesman (which is basically what his occupation was), lots of ideas sometimes outstripping his ability to get them all out. High energy. Trump was not mentally demented or psychotic and had no other mental illness. Supremely confident and over-confident at times. His personality type is more manic which is not abnormal because most of us have lesser forms of periodic mania, or depression, histrionics, aggressive behavior and such. The difference in normal and illness is a matter of degree. Teddy Roosevelt was similar in many ways to Trump in Personality. Very high energy, lots of ideas and usually left his staff gasping for air.
There is criminal activity in the White House. The physician who passed the president as being physically fit and mentally capable has, in my opinion, committed medical malpractice and I suspect that he engaged in a conspiracy to obfuscate or outright cover up Biden’s mental incapacity, ie:White House staff.
A part of assessing mental incapacity is doing serial 7’s back word. Start at 100 and count back subtracting 7, 100-93-86-79-72-65. Also you have a person name 3 objects, remember them and then ask the person what those 3 objects are about 5-10 minutes later. Watching joe last nite, Ask yourself “Could he have done that ?”
If Trump wins and the senate and house go to the republicans then they need to, by using an old technique, keelhaul the entire White House staff before investigation committees and refer them to the DOJ for conspiracy to defraud the citizens of the United States, sedition and treason. The cabinet is complicit as is the present Attorney General. This is a travesty of government by, for, and of the people.

ZZDoc-Possibly Parkinson’s but there are many various drugs that can produce Parkinson’s like symptoms. I would still say Alzheimers with some various drug side effects. He does not exhibit pill rolling and an unstable gait where they get to walking fast and are unable to slow down and stop, and he does not clearly have a mask like fancies. His face is still expressive for what that’s worth.
On the other hand Parkinson’s has its own problem with progressive dementia and hallucinations as the Parkinson’s grows worse. Any competent physician who even considered that possibility should have consulted a neurologist and/or someone very familiar with Parkinson’s. Having sat on malpractice boards in my state I would have some very unpleasant questions to ask his examining physician.

Its about getting, or keeping, a democrat, any democrat in office, regardless of who it might be. This is about the same percentage that would be fine with Kamala as president. I would like to see a breakdown of this third of the electorate. I missed the beginning of the debate. However, (when I turned it on), the bottom line for me was not how frail/disoriented/incoherent Biden appeared, -but rather, how much a protective media has tried to hide this from us for so long.
This didn’t happen overnight. The comparison between how a resentful media blew up every little thing about Trump (after he defeated Hillary) and how they have selectively and protectively omitted/reported on Biden’s history of lies and indiscretions is quite stark.
