The media is sorry . . . sort of. After the shocking appearance of President Joe Biden in the presidential debate, the public has turned its attention to the press which has, again, buried a major scandal for years. According to CNN, the reporters at the White House are really, really sorry but explained that it was the “right-wing media” that prompted them to avoid the story. It is a telling admission that, yet again, reporters chose not to report on a story because they wanted to frame the news for political purposes. It is precisely the pattern that I discuss in my new book The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage where the media now rejects objectivity and neutrality as core values in journalism.
For years, there have been questions about President Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline. Those concerns reached their apex when Special Counsel Robert Hur issued his report. While finding that Biden had unlawfully retained and mishandled classified material for decades, he concluded that prosecution would be difficult because a jury would be swayed by the appearance of an elderly man with declining memory.
The media pounced and attacked Hur while media figures attested to the President’s acuity and ability. Then, as videos repeatedly surfaced showing the President confused and fragile, the media declared them “cheap fakes” and attacked Fox News and other outlets for airing them even though Fox noted that the clips were unedited. (For full disclosure, I am a Fox News analyst). Virtually every news outlet aired the attack with politicians, pundits, and celebrities attesting that the President was sharp and engaged.
On MSNBC, Joe Scarborough stated
“start your tape right now because I’m about to tell you the truth. And F— you if you can’t handle the truth. This version of Biden intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever. Not a close second. And I have known him for years…If it weren’t the truth I wouldn’t say it.”
Then the presidential debate happened and, after years of being protected by staff, tens of millions of people watched the president struggle to stay focused and responsive.
So, as an embarrassed press struggled to explain the most recent belated disclosure, the reason is the “right-wing press” and the need to counter their narratives.
While saying that reporters “are now expressing regret,” CNN explains that “some members of the White House press corps who have regular exposure to President Biden are now admitting they were “turned off” from exposing his mental decline before last week’s debate in part because of the attention it has got from ‘right-wing media.'”
It was just part of shaping the news, which is now the priority in journalism.
A recent series of interviews with over 75 media leaders by Leonard Downie Jr., former Washington Post executive editor, and Andrew Heyward, former CBS News president, reaffirmed this shift. As Emilio Garcia-Ruiz, editor-in-chief at the San Francisco Chronicle, stated: “Objectivity has got to go.”
But that objectivity seems to depend heavily upon what ideology you are advocating.
We have been discussing the rise of advocacy journalism and the rejection of objectivity in journalism schools. Writers, editors, commentators, and academics have embraced rising calls for censorship and speech controls, including President-elect Joe Biden and his key advisers. This movement includes academics rejecting the very concept of objectivity in journalism in favor of open advocacy.
In an interview with The Stanford Daily, Stanford journalism professor, Ted Glasser, insisted that journalism needed to “free itself from this notion of objectivity to develop a sense of social justice.” He rejected the notion that journalism is based on objectivity and said that he views “journalists as activists because journalism at its best — and indeed history at its best — is all about morality.” Thus, “Journalists need to be overt and candid advocates for social justice, and it’s hard to do that under the constraints of objectivity.”
Lauren Wolfe, the fired freelance editor for the New York Times, has not only gone public to defend her pro-Biden tweet but published a piece titled “I’m a Biased Journalist and I’m Okay With That.”
Former New York Times writer (and now Howard University Journalism Professor) Nikole Hannah-Jones is a leading voice for advocacy journalism.
Indeed, Hannah-Jones has declared “all journalism is activism.”
The problem comes with these little embarrassing moments when the public suddenly sees that prior coverage was false. Whether it is the Russian collusion story (for which reporters received Pulitzer Prizes) or the Hunter Biden laptop or the Lafayette Park photo shoot or the migrant whipping controversy, there is an inescapable pattern of omission and misdirection. This is why media outlets are collapsing as the public seeks other sources for information.
As I previously wrote, the mantra “Let’s Go Brandon!” was embraced by millions as a criticism as much of the media as President Biden. It derives from an Oct. 2 interview with race-car driver Brandon Brown after he won his first NASCAR Xfinity Series race. During the interview, NBC reporter Kelli Stavast’s questions were drowned out by loud-and-clear chants of “F*** Joe Biden.” Stavast quickly and inexplicably declared, “You can hear the chants from the crowd, ‘Let’s go, Brandon!’”
So, in expressing guilt for not pursuing the President’s mental and physical decline, the media is left with explaining that they are just doing what they are trained to do in the new J Schools. They were countering conservatives and framing the news.
This is why Washington Post publisher and CEO William Lewis is under attack for dropping a truth bomb on the staff of the Post when he told them:
“We are going to turn this thing around, but let’s not sugarcoat it. It needs turning around,” Lewis said. “We are losing large amounts of money. Your audience has halved in recent years. People are not reading your stuff. Right. I can’t sugarcoat it anymore.”
Staff is now trying to get him fired.
The claim that “the right wing press” is responsible for the liberal main stream media’s willful blindness in not reporting President Biden’s obvious, but now seemingly irrefutable, cognitive decline can be described by another term: childishness. When caught with their hand in the cookie jar, the first instinct of a child is to blame brother or sister or friend, or even the dog. A child’s initial reaction is to not take responsibility for his or her actions, just like the liberal main stream media here. Who in their right mind would ever believe anything the mainstream media would report going forward. As suggested in a previous post, the best hope for the failing and now flailing MSM would be to fire everyone – on-air personalities, writers, producers – and start over.
Anonymous does cheap fakes. Filling the pages with a language no one understands as cheap prank. She can’t cognitively state her position so she tries to impress us with her knowledge of a dead language. It’s like when she was in high school toilet papering the house of someone she doesn’t like. A little maturity would be appreciated if it’s there to find?
Complain to Jonathan Turley.
Idiot
I know this article is about Joe and his age. But the elephent in the room is that the other guy on the debate was also old and told so many lies that it was like a fiction story.
Did trump have anything true to say in the debate?
And yes, Biden told a few whoppers as well.
https://www.factcheck.org/2024/06/factchecking-the-biden-trump-debate/
Anonymous, I stopped reading your fact check source when they said inflation is up by only twenty percent. Anyone with a brain could look at his grocery bill and how much more he pays for gasoline and know that this is a lie. People don’t give a damn about overall inflation numbers. They only care about the increases in cost that hurts their daily lives. Overall crime is down because of crime going down in rural America but it doesn’t take a genius to see the crime that is happening in blue cities. Overall is just a smoke screen.
Just one of the score of lies trump spouts…
Trump claimed that “we had the safest border in history” in the “final months” of his presidency. But apprehensions of those trying to cross illegally in the last three full months of his presidency were about 50% higher than in the three months before he took office.
Illegal entry did go up at the border in the last three months of President Trumps presidency because the illegals knew that Biden was coming in and that he would do nothing about it. Interestingly your fact checkers say nothing about the numbers of illegals entering before those last three months. Once again it’s cherry pickin time in Washington D.C. The leftist press didn’t report that either.
Anonymous, your fact checker says that crime is down in America. That’s because in cities like San Francisco they don’t arrest someone for theft if he ripped of something worth les than $995.00. Where I live the Walmart is locking up saline solution and dental floss because of shop lifting so I don’t have to pay more to support the shoplifters. I am paying more because of the additional labor required to lock everything up but it’s probably a lot less than I would pay in increased prices if they didn’t lock everything up. Just like what they say about Biden, don’t believe your lying eyes Anonymous.
Fact-check: elephant.
We can all agree that 99% of politicians and CEOs lie. What we need decide is which political philosophy can save this nation and jump on board that train; and we have seen what 12 years of obama’s “fundamental transformation” has done done to cripple this nation.
Dennis McIntyre, we would appreciate it if you would discuss the fact that the media hid Joe Biden’s condition from the American people rather than dumping on Professor Turley. Your common practice is to change the subject when you can’t defend the actions of the leftist media. Diversion is the refuge of the unserious and malevolent speaker. You scream for “Democracy” and yet you excuse the twisting of the news if it benefits your team. You are a man without honor and should be recognized as such.
Cultural Marxism
Jonathan: Your “full disclosure” shows you are not just a Fox legal analyst but a full throated defender of DJT.
You have attacked Joe Biden for being involved in some vast “corruption scandal”, falsely claiming he should be impeached for bribery. When that didn’t work you defended SC Hur’s report that claimed, erroneously, that the only reason he didn’t charge Biden was because he is too old. When it comes to DJT you have defended him in all his criminal cases. You have falsely claimed “selective prosecution” or asserted some other specious reason why DJT should not be prosecuted.
In this column and others you have accused the mainstream media and some on the left of “advocacy journalism”. It’s all projection. You accuse others of what you practice every day in your columns and your appearances on Fox. That’s OK. You are entitled to your opinion. But don’t try to convince us you are some kind of neutral observer that rises above the “age of rage”. That claim doesn’t pass the smell test!
Biden is going to lose and there’s nothing you can do to stop it.
“10% for the Big Guy” is a truth that the DOJ would already be uncovering if it were not headed by the likes of Merrick Garland. And you know that, McIntyre. Dems protect their own.
“You have attacked Joe Biden for being involved in some vast “corruption scandal”
Are you trying to say there was no Biden family influence pedaling operation going on ?
Lets be clear about what is a FACT.
Hunter Biden was selling his ability to get Joe Biden to deliver Joe’s public power for millions of dollars that went to himself and the Biden family – almost certainly including Joe.
Hunter was in cahoots with Archer Devon and several others – selling Joe Biden’s public power for Millions.
This went on for years.
Jim Biden was selling Brother Joe’s public power for decades.
Joe Biden was aware of this.
Joe Biden showed up at meetings and dinners to “close the deal”.
All of the above has been proven beyond ANY doubt at all.
All of the above meet the requirements to charge and convict for bribery and public corruption – without having to stretch the law even a little.
Additiopnally there is WEAKER evidence that Joe Biden personally profited.
Proof that Joe personally profited is NOT a requirement to prove public corruption of bribery.
Money going to a close family member as a quid pro quo for the excercise of public power is all that must be proven.
And that has been proven in spades.
Neither Turley nor anyone else I am aware of has backed down from that.
Republicans continue to investigate – though the goal has NEVER been to impeach Biden.
But to expose his misconduct to voters.
Pretty much the world knows that the democratic Senate is not going to hold a trial much less convict.
There is no reason for House republicans to risk falling short on an impeachment vote to get a trial that will never occur.
Further Joe’s dementia has overshadowed the bribery and corruption.
No one – including the courts and the law actually cares what a completely addled octaqgenerian may have done in the past.
Biden is non-compis-mentis. As SC Hurr noted – he is not competent enough to stand trial.
He can not help himself down the stairs much less at a trial.
While Republicans will continue to dig into the Biden crime syndicate – that is increasingly less important.
Biden can not win the 2024 election. He may not even make it too the 2024 election.
There is no reason to pile on.
Further Joe Biden’s public corruption – while involving his entire family does NOT implicatge the democratic party.
While his mental incompetence does. If Joe is not running the country – someone is.
Or more likely MANY are. Regardless, Biden’s presidency is a disaster and ther fact that Joe himself is not competent means that the entire Democratic party is culpable.
Repuiblicans are more focussed on the Biden administrations failures – and to a lessor extent Joe Biden’s mental incapacity because those are an albratross arround the necks of the media and the democratic party – and YOU.
” SC Hur’s report that claimed, erroneously, that the only reason he didn’t charge Biden was because he is too old.”
There is no age limit on prosecuting someone.
Hurr did not recommend charges because Biden is NOT COMPETENT.
This is not some game.
Read Hurr’s report or his testimony.
Joe Biden has been egregiously violating the espionage act for decades.
He has stolen classified documents – hundreds of them.
He has handled them recklessly.
He has moved them arround the country.
He has shared them with people without clearances outside of the government
The claim that he cooperated is nonsense – He Stole documents he was not allowed to posess.
He KNEW that when he did so. He did not “cooperate” until he was caught.
He will not be prosecuted because he is too incompetent to stand trial.
” When it comes to DJT you have defended him in all his criminal cases.”
Correct – Trump is being prosecuted for non-crimes using warped and expansive readings of the law.
The Trump prosecutions violate Trump’s constitutional rights.
In many instances the alleged crimes are themselves violations of Trump’s constitutional rights.
Nor is the left wing political lawfare restricted to Trump.
Navaro and Bannon have been prosecuted and convicted despite the most crystal clear application of executive priviledge – they are being sdubpeoned to testify about the advice they gave to the president. That is covered by the most narrow application fo executive privilege that there is. If Bannon and Navaro must testify then NO CLAIM OF EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE EVER is valid – executive privilege does not exist.
No one else has ever been prosecuted for failure to comply with a congressional subpeona.
No one else has ever refused a congressional subpeona who has had a stronger executive priviledge claim.
The congressional subpoena’s of Louis Lernher, or Holder and Fast and Furious documents., have had nothing to do with communications with the president.
The Garland refusal to provide the tape of Biden’s interview with Hurr had nothing to do with presidential advisors giving the president advice.
Hunter Biden is not being prosecuted for influence pedling – which he has admitted. He is not being prosecuted for Violating FARA which he clearly did. He is not being prosecuted fot laundering money which by YOUR definition of money laundering – the one used to convict manafort – he clearly did.
Hunter Biden is only being prosecuted for the crimes that do not involve Joe Biden.
Pro-=life clinics have been fire bombed. Yet the only prosecutions are of pro-life protesters shoving a man who threatened the protestors child.
We have SWAT teams raid republicans over nothing. On the rare instates democrats are prosecuted for anything – they are allowed to quietly turn themselves in. Or voluntarily agree to searches, – or crtiminal targets are told of searchs months before they occur.
We have DOJ/FBI spying on catholics. We have them targeting the parents of school children raped by allegedly trans males.
It is not even slightly surprising that the majority of the country beleives that the Biden justice departmen t and the democratic party are politically corrupt.
Because you are.
Regardless, this is not about Trump – it is about YOU. Trump is just ONE of the examples of your lawlessness.
While Fischer V the US did not address the first amendment claims, SCOTUS merely tossed a ridiculously overboard reading of 18 US 1512. The FACT is that
ALL of those prosecuted for J6 have a first amendment defense they were deprived of.
In a few instances that is not sufficient to avoid conviction – but it REQUIRES mitigating punishment.
But in MOST instances it is sufficient to preclude prosecution.
The government can not charge tresspassing at not merely A government created public forum but THE most consequential in the world, as a means to abridge peoples free speech rights.
It does not matter wihether you agree with J6 protestors or not – they STILL had the right to protest.
It does not matter if it is proveable that they were absolutely wrong – though the reverse appears far more likely.
They STILL have the right to protest.
They have the right to enter the capitol, to march through it. To petition government – congress demanding that congress refuse to certify the election. They were NOT allowed to do that. THAT was an ILLEGAL violation of their constitutional rights.
Pelosi could have had the national guard if she wanted.
She could have set up security so that protestors could not bring weapons or anything dangerous into the capitol.
But so long as congress was going to sit to proceed to certify an election that many think was fraudulent – witch good reason,
those protesters had the right to be in the capitol.
Government is not free to make excuses to insulate itself from the first amendment.
“In this column and others you have accused the mainstream media and some on the left of “advocacy journalism”.”
What rock do you live under ? THE MSM openly ADMITS to advocacy journalism.
Turley is not making an accusation, he is stating a fact that those in the MSM agree with.
The point of contgention the p[oint of Turley’s post is not that the media engages in advocacy journalism,
but that in doing so, it has blinded itself and its subscribers to the truth and now seeks to blame others for its own failure.
” It’s all projection.”
Again what rock do you live under ?
The MSM openly admits it engages in advocacy journalism.
“There is no reason to pile on.”
John, yes there is absolutely reason to pile on and on and on and on.
The dementia is not enough. Some voters may be swayed against Biden by the family business. Some may be swayed against Biden by his turning Prog. Some may be swayed by his lie that no service people were killed in action during his term. Some may be swayed by his lies about the guy in the auto accident in 1972? caused by his first wife (which killed her and their daughter). Some may be swayed by his lies about starting $35 insulin for Medicare beneficiaries. Some may….
There is no being nice guy in politics. Watch Chuck Schumer. Follow suit.
Dennis McIntyre.. if you ever bothered doing the research, you would learn that Prof. Turley is correct 99.9% of the time.. he always has the facts/ evidence for what he says.. unfortunately (for you) calling him out for what YOU are or do, your projectioning, doesn’t work..
I wish WAPO publisher/CEO Lewis luck. This rejection of fact-based objectivity in favor of pushing an activist agenda is a betrayal of journalistic ethics and the American people, as I have also addressed: https://dailycaller.com/2023/02/25/ferbrache-to-find-truth-objectivity-must-go/
“free itself from this notion of objectivity to develop a sense of social justice.”
Journalism must free itself from universities whose fundamental approach to journalism is writing skills rather than credibility. Credibility is innate to honest people; using one’s writing skills can lead to news distortion. News is the truth, not editorial, spin or good literature.
In today’s world, journalists often graduate with high debt that is not equal to the low salary, so financial survival is a goal of many, and can mean being bought.
The liberal media has been playing the “victimization” game for decades. Now they get to use it on themselves to shirk their irresponsible reporting on Biden’s mental capacity and physical infirmity. Why would anyone expect anything different after they covered for Hunter’s Ashley Madison moment which portended what was to come when he forgot his personal computer at a repair shop while he was in a drug induced haze? Or his daughter’s diary entries about showering with her Dad, Joe.
And we have this guy Bump at the Wapo who gets apoplectic when those with a different viewpoint don’t defer to his viewpoint, which is the right viewpoint — kind of like a salesman saying ‘Trust me.’ Since when is all journalism advocacy-based.. Who made THAT rule up?
The biggest problem with the left-wing point of view these ‘journalists’ try to convince us all is the right viewpoint is that the left ruins everything it touches— it’s not only a hard sell, to citizens with common sense — it’s an impossible sell unless you’ve drunk enough Kool-Aid from the left. So when Karine JP tells us Joe had a ‘bad night,’ and nothing more than that, that won’t cut it — not when Joe was mumbling on stage in front of 10s of millions of viewers —- and one more thing: since when does our Commander in Chief excel at their job of POTUS when they can claim ‘not one American soldier’ died in combat while I was POTUS? When POTUS has no spine, is yellow to the core, and will not engage US troops anywhere on the planet for 4 years, since when is THIS the thing to brag about? Of course, Joe lied. How bout those 13 soldiers in August of 2021 in Afghanistan?
It seems like we need a sort of Hippocratic oath for journalists; one in which they swear to uphold the principles of objectivity, truth, accuracy and logical reasoning and eshew political bias, half-truths, fictional accounts and censorship (in their reporting at least). I’m not a journalist, so I don’t know if any such thing already exists; if so, it doesn’t seem to be honored.
To be truly useful, those who have sworn the oath would register that fact with some national independent, non-political foundation, and would thereby earn the right to display a badge with their reporting attesting to that fact. Then news consumers could choose to avoid journalists that declined to work by those principles. No one should be ‘required’ to take the oath, so MSNBC/FOX opinion presenters could continue to espouse their biased views, but not with the benefit of an Ethical Journalist badge. Perhaps you could even take the oath and be allowed to present opinion, so long as your article/presentation clearly and prominantly states at the start that it is opinion and not objective reporting, and the badge not be displayed for that piece.
The foundation would record the oaths, and publish names/dates of those who’ve taken it. Potentially they might also investigate reports of violations of the oath, and publish verified incidents of those who don’t honor it. As a potentially powerful body, it would be important to ensure that the foundation did not become corrupt/biased itself (consider BAR associations for example), but I’m not sure how that could best be accomplished. Perhaps having multiple, independent, competing foundations?
Even without a foundation, having such an oath would hopefully enshrine those principles of ethical journalism in the minds of the public, and pressure journalists and journalism schools to accept them. Perhaps Prof. Turley could pitch an idea like this to an appropriate set of people?
How does the “Party of Democracy” plan to act if Trump wins? Accept the result? On, no. With an avalanche of lawsuits. “Democratic lawyers get ready: ‘If Trump wins, there will be chaos’” https://www.politico.com/news/2024/07/03/democrat-attorney-general-trump-2024-00165490
If Trump wins, indeed, we’ll see an avalanche of law suits challenging the outcome of the election. If that does not work, the Dems will try to block certification on Jan. 6. If that also does not work, prepare for massive protesting and riots in the streets on Jan 20.
Let’s hope Biden remains on the ticket, he will implode once a week for the next 5 months. People that think Harris will get crushed or Newsome will be a disaster should know that whoever they replace the senile, corrupt lying incompetent with will get the honeymoon of all honeymoons by the media.
Replacing Biden becomes more problematic with each day.
Democrats were planning a pre-virtual convention – because without the party selecting their candidate shortly – there are places were it will be too late to get on the ballot. Democrats have been fighting to keep Kenedy of the ballot – soon they may find THEY are not on the ballot.
If Biden dropped out tomorow – is the democratic party going to have debates ? a new primary ? Are they going to have back room deals at the august convention ? How are they going to replace Biden without pissing off large numbers of democrats ?
Not to mention the legal challenges they may face. Robert Kenedy has made it clear he thinks he has the right to be the democratic nominee in November. He is likely to use all the same lawfare used against him to prevent any democrat from getting on the ballot.
Regaredless replacing Biden is not easy and gets harder with every day.
Voters of both parties actually agree on one thing – voters aren’t thrilled by either party’s candidate for president.
One solution most voters – of both parties – would likely support is a “Ranked Choice Primary and Ranked Choice General Election” instead of partisan primaries. States like Maine already do this.
For example: all candidates of all parties are on one ballot. So if there were maybe 20 total candidates, voters rank them from 1 to 20 (favorite to least favorite). Anyone could vote for less than 20 also. If nobody receives more than 50% of the votes, the last place is dropped and their 2nd choice goes to the other candidates until someone reaches more than 50%.
In this system it propels the voters will into the democratic process, instead of elitist party leaders giving us few good choices.
Abraham Lincoln – the de facto founder of the Republican Party – once warned that America would only destroy itself from internal division, we would never be defeated by a foreign power.
This reform would help counter America’s greatest threat – internal division amongst us Americans.
I’m willing to grant Trump four measily years to get the economy running right. I fear an ordinary politician will diddle around gentlemanly getting next to nothing done.
I like Trump using the bully pulpit to slap adverse politicians around to vote with him or be tarred and feathered.
Trump is the last of the Baby Boomer presidents. In 2028 the kids take over the store.
Idiocy
Everywhere that Ranked choice voting has been tried it has proven to be a mess. It has never resulted in the candidate who is ahead at the end of the first round being defeated in a later round.
We are free to alter voting however we please, but any beleif that ranked choice is an improvement is not born out by the real world
Very similar but easier to understand are runnoffs.
Traditional voting, no confusion. If the leading candidate gets 51% of the vote (the normal case) the election is over.
If not the top 2 advance to a runnoff.
There are many many ways to deal with close elections and/or more than two candidates.
There is no objective reason that one is superior to any other.
Merely flipping a coin to decide an election where the leading candidates are within the margin of error is as reasonable as anything else.
If All house elections that where within 1% were decided by coin toss in 2022 – Republicans would have 10 more seats int he house.
But the worst system is to have the courts deal with close elections.
Just to be clear – while I object to ranked choice voting because it pretty much nev er changes the outcome and just confuses people for no good reason – we can vote however we please.
But believing that ranked choice voting will solve internal divisions is idiocy.
The most important reason that we are politicaly divided is because too many view political power as the means to FORCE their neighbor to live as they wish.
We have seen those on the left cheerfully dismantling the obstacles that allow minorities to prevent abuse by majorities – and in most instances – those on the right have ultimately benefited.
If you want to end bitter political division accept that for government to act more than majority support is necescary.
That is what is dividing us.
I’ve been saying for quite a while now…
This “I’m about to tell you the truth. And F— you if you can’t handle the truth. This version of Biden intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever. Not a close second.” is just another blatantly false narrative that’s been pushed by the political left and their Pravda-USA media lap dogs and now the narrative has been undermined by the undeniable factual truth that anyone with a functional brain observing Biden had already known.
The left wing media are activist liars lying for the political left.
Steve – THEY, particularly the Left Media & Party do not know how to Stop.
They started with it in the 2016 Trump candidacy, They continued through-out his Administration, They kept on with it in 2020, They are still at it to this very Day. THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO STOP.
And it has made America psychologically sick. THEY are a political Illness, that needs to be eliminated. (Uni-Party Politics)
In this time, America needs to pull away from this Bull Shit and get down to business. The Political establishment (All of it) is not on-board.
Americans have to take care of this business – If it take a Civil War, Revolution, or an Act of God. IT MUST BE STOPPED.

During 2020, it was obvious to anyone who has dealt with dementia patients that Joe wasn’t all there, but the MSM asked probing questions like “what flavor ice cream is your favorite?” as they fawned over him. They didn’t notice that anything was wrong as he campaigned from his basement. They covered up the laptop story with the help of 51 traitors. Even now, while they are forced to admit that Joe’s really failing, no mention of the laptop — hint, it might just be real too (note that it was used by the prosecutor as evidence in Hunter’s gun trial). They also don’t seem real interested in the Hur tape. A taped interview with Stephanopoulos is unlikely to show Joe as his true self and is therefore useless.
We’ve all known for some time that Joe doesn’t have the capacity to be the president. Who’s running the country? They certainly were not elected. His staff is covering that up along with the MSM’s help. Is Jill qualified to make important decisions? Does Hunter have security clearance to attend meetings and participate in phone calls and help his father make decisions?
If Joe can’t run for the upcoming election, what’s he doing in office today?
The traditional media has been failing due to the many choices we have today, but those choices were necessary because the media hasn’t served us well. They turned from watchdogs to lapdogs for the left. Good luck with those job searches.
Joe is no longer capable of even being recognized as a responsible leader. All the world knows that except for his base of trained on-the-dole seals. The real danger is thus exposed: Joe’s behind the curtain unelected handlers backed by his paid sycophant horde
Translation: Trump made me lie because Trump.
They did this same kind of “fake soul searching” (as Miranda Devine so aptly put it) after Trump won in 2016 and promised to do better. Needless to say, they didn’t do better, they did worse, and I expect that trend to continue.
Both sides, left and right, use each other for traction, excuses, and to make money.
Some here have said, “Just don’t watch them, that will hold them to account.”
But that’s just avoiding it. Notice how many more weeds grew while you looked away?
So what’s the answer? What can be done about the heavy slant and bias of today’s media?
Mr. Turley is seeing more of the bigger picture these days, which is encouraging.
Voting hasn’t seemed to help. Each side has played their part in making the situation worse.
The sides are not the same – even if they sometime share the same tactics.
Who would ever think that our call for Freedom/Independence @250 years ago–would morph into today’s mantra of Freedom and Independence from partisan MEDIA! ha ha!
(By the way, ABC is really advertising/pushing the upcoming geo stephanopoulos interview with Biden, scheduled to be aired (repeatedly) starting Friday evening. It is an admitted attempt to show Americans that Biden is OK/sound of mind.
—-What ABC is NOT telling Americans is that the interview is not LIVE! It is TAPED IN ADVANCE. hmmmm.
Calling all editors! Calling all cross-cutters! Calling all jump-cutters! Calling all L-cutters and J-cutters! Calling all invisible cutters! Forget ET, AI come home!
Happy holiday to all! I’m wearing a “Red, White, and Barbeque!” T-shirt and will fully enjoy my once-a-year hot dog!
(^^^ these are editing terms)
Doing a 15 minute TAPED interview with a friendly “news” outlet proves nothing. Do 30 minutes LIVE on an unbiased outlet, if there is one. Oh I know, do a town hall in Ohio.
R’s should keep putting that ass clown from project 2025 on TV. He’ll help them turn out the female vote.
