Washington this week is proving once again that, as President Harry Truman warned, if “you want a friend in Washington, get a dog.” President Joe Biden appears isolated and alone this weekend. He cannot even count on his dogs who are equally unpopular after the White House was accused of covering up their own dangerous demeanor.
Fox host Shannon Bream reported this morning that her staff tried for an entire week to get a single Democrat to go on the show to defend President Joe Biden as the party’s nominee. Not a single Democrat was willing to do so.
In the meantime, the New York Times is reporting that a senior White House official is calling for Biden to step down as the nominee due to his declining physical and mental condition. The media, which has long attacked those questioning Biden’s fitness, is now on board with the Democratic establishment in pushing the President to withdraw.
The one constant in this ever-changing city is that self-interest alone drives policies and alliances. If you endanger the meal ticket of members of Congress, you are immediately persona non grata. Biden is now threatening Democratic control of both the White House and the Congress. The word is out that Biden has to go so the media is suddenly noticing what it long refused to see.
That goes for staffers too. For years, the staff has engaged in a dishonest effort to shield Biden from questions and to carefully script and choreograph his appearances. Figures like Karine Jean-Pierre and close political allies knowingly misled the public as to the President’s deteriorating condition. Even after telling the public to watch the President in interviews, it was revealed this weekend that the White House was feeding pre-written questions to favorable hosts.
Indeed, the media is actually blaming conservatives for failing to reveal the President’s condition due to their effort to frame the news.
The truth is now unavoidable. The President has continued to struggle with clarity, as when he recently declared “by the way, I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, first black woman… to serve with a black president.”
In the case of this high-level White House staffer, he or she also said nothing for months, even as the White House attacked Fox News and other outlets for showing the President’s confusion at public events. They were denounced as “cheap fakes.”
This staffer reportedly worked with Biden during his presidency, vice presidency and 2020 campaign.
As with the media, however, the staffer now seems to have the green light to kick the President to the curb to strengthen Democratic chances in the upcoming election.
The staffer revealed that Biden has repeatedly become confused and weakened in the course of the day.
Somehow this is being portrayed as courageous despite the fact that the staffer remained silent as others were attacked for raising these issues and the White House actively hid the President’s declining condition.
As is often the case, everyone in Washington is jumping ship as the rats run for the poop deck. No one will be held responsible for months and months of misleading the public about the condition of the man who holds the nuclear launch codes.
Just weeks ago, the media was heralding the brilliance and sharpness of the President.
On MSNBC, Joe Scarborough stated
“start your tape right now because I’m about to tell you the truth. And F— you if you can’t handle the truth. This version of Biden intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever. Not a close second. And I have known him for years…If it weren’t the truth I wouldn’t say it.”
Now, the best that Biden can muster is MSNBC’s Joy Reid who declared
“If it’s Biden in a coma, I’m going to vote for Biden in a coma. I don’t even really, in particular, like the guy. A lot of his policies? Don’t like them, [but] he’s not Donald Trump, right?”
Now there’s a roaring endorsement. The comatose POTUS pitch. Rep. Dan Goldman (D., N.Y.) threw in his own damning defense by saying that the public should just look at the people around the President, a type of figurehead rationale for keeping a possibly infirm president.
As usual, it is the public that has been played as chumps by the establishment and the media. The public is expected to forget the years of shielding Biden and the many public testimonials of his wickedly sharp acumen. In a blink, he has gone from “the best Biden ever” to a type of “comatose but comfortable” defense.
It is the political version of going from blue chip to junk bond status in a week.
If Joe does not give up the ticket, there is NO option, in the interest of “saving democracy” than to remove him from office.
Replacing Joe simply because he “can’t win” is a blatant disenfranchisement of TENS of MILLIONS of VOTERS, who selected Joe Biden as their candidate for President.
Biden is clearly demented despite Washington’s belated and self serving recognition. Reports today are that a Walter Reed specialist in Parkinson’s has visited the White House 10 times in the last year and a half. That’s about once every 2 months. That means they knew in late 2022 what the problem was and that there was no cure. It was only going to get worse, and quickly. That they ran him for another term knowing that is criminal. Heads should roll. That also means he is unfit to finish out this term, much less another.
For the good of the country and world, not to mention his party, Biden needs to go now and have the party convention pick a replacement ticket. Thanks to Senator Warner for taking on the thankless job of belling the cat.

The White House lied and implied that the Walter Reed doctors were there to treat White House Military Office personnel.
The White House Military Office has its own White House Medical Unit for treating those personnel.
They don’t live in the White house. Any non emergency specialist examination or treatment of those personnel would be AT Walter Reed.

@zzdoc1 Me too, but it was my experience as caregiver for my Dad that led me to that conclusion. It was Biden’s spooky similar affect. The rigid vacant stare, the hoarse whisper, the losing a train of thought, the gait. All sure looked familiar as Parkinson’s to me. Once it started downhill with Dad it picked up speed. While there were occasional moderations the trend was down, down down. It is a one way street and an ugly way to go.
While no fan, I do not wish it on Biden. What it does make me sure of is that he is not capable of another term, or finishing out this one. The people who knew what was up and enabled his run for another election deserve a special place in Hell.

Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Yes, I re-read that amendment text a few minutes ago. So, if Biden does not agree to leave voluntarily, Harris and a majority of Biden’s cabinet officers will need to TWICE (assuming he denies his disqualification after the first written declaration, which appears to be a given) declare in writing for his removal on the grounds of inability to execute the requirements of office, after which, within a 21 day period, a 2/3 majority of each House of Congress will need to vote to confirm his removal. That just flat isn’t going to happen. First, Harris may balk. Second, how many Cabinet officers would have the guts to sign such a document before knowing for certain that 7 others will follow suit, knowing the retaliation that would almost certainly follow on anyone who signed, if the process was unsuccessful? If 8 or more signed, how many of those would chicken out once Biden submitted the denial of his incompetence? Next, I am skeptical that even a 2/3 majority of the Democrats in Congress would vote for removal, considering the infighting over Biden currently happening in those ranks. Finally, it’s all very well and good to preach that Republican Congress critters should join the effort and sign “for the good of the nation”, but that is imo debatable, and the expectation that they would do so highly unrealistic. I expect that most Republicans would be more than happy to watch Democrats hoist on their own petard, and could probably justify that to themselves on the basis that the nation has already survived over 3 years and 5 months of the term of a President who is incapable of meeting the demands of the office; how much additional risk can there be from extending that risk for an additional 7 months? I don’t necessarily subscribe to that analysis, but I certainly understand any Republican congress critter reasoning that way, and thoroughly enjoying the Democrats squirming in agony.

IF Harris were to choose Barak Obama as VP it would be legal. The constitution does not prohibit such a scenario. It only forbids a president to be elected to the position of president a third term. But not as a VP. Theoretically, if Kamala Harris chose Barak as VP it should be permissible. If she resigned after a year and Barak Obama becomes president he could theoretically serve as president once more. Because he was NOT elected to be president, he would be only a successor. I don’t see how a former president cannot end up president as a vp.

As far as I’m concerned, this entire debacle disqualifies the entire current Democrat Party from ever getting my vote. While the news media has been gaslighting the public for years, our enemies are perfectly up to date on the state of the puppet in the White House. This is not just deceitful – its dangerous.
