Washington this week is proving once again that, as President Harry Truman warned, if “you want a friend in Washington, get a dog.” President Joe Biden appears isolated and alone this weekend. He cannot even count on his dogs who are equally unpopular after the White House was accused of covering up their own dangerous demeanor.
Fox host Shannon Bream reported this morning that her staff tried for an entire week to get a single Democrat to go on the show to defend President Joe Biden as the party’s nominee. Not a single Democrat was willing to do so.
In the meantime, the New York Times is reporting that a senior White House official is calling for Biden to step down as the nominee due to his declining physical and mental condition. The media, which has long attacked those questioning Biden’s fitness, is now on board with the Democratic establishment in pushing the President to withdraw.
The one constant in this ever-changing city is that self-interest alone drives policies and alliances. If you endanger the meal ticket of members of Congress, you are immediately persona non grata. Biden is now threatening Democratic control of both the White House and the Congress. The word is out that Biden has to go so the media is suddenly noticing what it long refused to see.
That goes for staffers too. For years, the staff has engaged in a dishonest effort to shield Biden from questions and to carefully script and choreograph his appearances. Figures like Karine Jean-Pierre and close political allies knowingly misled the public as to the President’s deteriorating condition. Even after telling the public to watch the President in interviews, it was revealed this weekend that the White House was feeding pre-written questions to favorable hosts.
Indeed, the media is actually blaming conservatives for failing to reveal the President’s condition due to their effort to frame the news.
The truth is now unavoidable. The President has continued to struggle with clarity, as when he recently declared “by the way, I’m proud to be, as I said, the first vice president, first black woman… to serve with a black president.”
In the case of this high-level White House staffer, he or she also said nothing for months, even as the White House attacked Fox News and other outlets for showing the President’s confusion at public events. They were denounced as “cheap fakes.”
This staffer reportedly worked with Biden during his presidency, vice presidency and 2020 campaign.
As with the media, however, the staffer now seems to have the green light to kick the President to the curb to strengthen Democratic chances in the upcoming election.
The staffer revealed that Biden has repeatedly become confused and weakened in the course of the day.
Somehow this is being portrayed as courageous despite the fact that the staffer remained silent as others were attacked for raising these issues and the White House actively hid the President’s declining condition.
As is often the case, everyone in Washington is jumping ship as the rats run for the poop deck. No one will be held responsible for months and months of misleading the public about the condition of the man who holds the nuclear launch codes.
Just weeks ago, the media was heralding the brilliance and sharpness of the President.
On MSNBC, Joe Scarborough stated
“start your tape right now because I’m about to tell you the truth. And F— you if you can’t handle the truth. This version of Biden intellectually, analytically, is the best Biden ever. Not a close second. And I have known him for years…If it weren’t the truth I wouldn’t say it.”
Now, the best that Biden can muster is MSNBC’s Joy Reid who declared
“If it’s Biden in a coma, I’m going to vote for Biden in a coma. I don’t even really, in particular, like the guy. A lot of his policies? Don’t like them, [but] he’s not Donald Trump, right?”
Now there’s a roaring endorsement. The comatose POTUS pitch. Rep. Dan Goldman (D., N.Y.) threw in his own damning defense by saying that the public should just look at the people around the President, a type of figurehead rationale for keeping a possibly infirm president.
As usual, it is the public that has been played as chumps by the establishment and the media. The public is expected to forget the years of shielding Biden and the many public testimonials of his wickedly sharp acumen. In a blink, he has gone from “the best Biden ever” to a type of “comatose but comfortable” defense.
It is the political version of going from blue chip to junk bond status in a week.

Republicans seem to be forgetful about Joe Biden’s tendency to make a lot of gaffes, even when he was younger. It was always known he was prone to making them. Thats not an excuse. Just a simple fact.
Trump is certainly no better with clarity. He has this awful tendency to ramble incoherently and aimlessly when it’s obvious he has no idea what he is talking about.
If Biden remains in the race he still provides an alternative to Trump. Because if Biden wins he can always reign and hand over the presidency to Harris. That’s always an option.
The other option is Harris replacing Biden on the ticket. With her on the race it would rob Trump of his current narrative about Biden’s age and its flaws. It would also put Trump on the spot with women voters. Harris, wouldn’t be as easy to debate as Trump.
It’s looking more likely that the VP is a viable candidate against Trump. The idea is quite realistic, enough so that the trump campaign is starting to plan attacks on Harris.
His “gaffes” when he was younger, was saying stupid shit, like “the first clean 14 to run for office” or “you need an indian accent to own a 7-11”, not jumbo word salads.

I may be wrong, but registering a pseudonym here presumably requires supplying a working email address, or something equivalent; not one that would be publicly visible, but one which goes in a database somewhere and the DOJ could subpoena from the website if properly motivated. Given the reports of various efforts by DOJ to unmask conservative voices (geofencing DC, banking records, etc), I assume many folks like myself feel less chilled in our speech using a non-registered, anonymous commenting option whenever its available.
Also, by commenting anonymously you increase the likelihood that others must consider and judge your comment by it’s content rather than who’s posting it. As anyone who browses the comments can see, certain registered folks respond immediately with ad-hominem attacks whenever another registered commenter they don’t like posts anything. That doesn’t further civil discourse and debate.
If you wish to ask folks to weakly identify to avoid confusion, you could request folks just sign the body of their comment with a throwaway tag/pseudonym. I was using a recent Firefox version on Windows until recently, and after composing a comment, I was always prompted for an email address and a screen name. The email address did not need to be registered (in fact I used an address from a “throwaway” source for such) and the screen name was ad hoc. For the last few days, I have been using a slightly older FF version on Linux, and I am not seeing any such prompt after I compose a comment, so all are currently being posted as “Anonymous”.
Throwaway names will almost certainly be twisted by trolls to read as ‘turd’ something. And any name will do. It doesn’t have to be yours.

What was mild to moderate dementia was apparent to any physician who has seen a lot of similar folks over the years and does not allow his political leanings to cloud his judgement. A demented patient can have interspersed times of lucidity but as the lucidity wanes and become less apparent, the dementia becomes far more apparent. The hint that his doctor has consulted a neurologist over the past 1 1/2 years is telling because it shows they recognized trouble in Joe mentally but the fact that it was not done much earlier shows their incompetence or bias.

But this close attention to the speech of American citizens occurred at the same time that the Democrats opened the borders to millions and millions of unknown, unvetted, low-skilled economic migrants when we are not doing enough to help American-born low-skilled persons and have driven manufacturing out of our own country. It takes six weeks for an American citizen to get a renewed passport. Are you telling me that we have done background checks on 10 million new arrivals from 100s of countries?
I don’t just want to not vote for the party that did this. I’d like to tell them to go to hell.
