“It’s Not Going to End Well for Them”: Susan Rice Joins Call for a Revenge Purge After Democrats Re-Take Power

As Democrats plan for the possible takeover in the midterms and 2028 election, they are already openly discussing their push for radical changes in our political system, including packing the Supreme Court to guarantee that those changes are allowed. Many are also pledging trials, impeachments, and investigations of anyone who supported President Donald Trump in a purging of politics and government. The latest to join the revenge purge pledge is Susan Rice, Democratic powerbroker and top policy adviser to both President Barack Obama and Joe Biden.

In an interview this week, Rice declared that supporters of Trump can expect the proverbial knocks on their doors: “A very prominent public figure, who has served at nearly the very highest levels, once told me … ‘Revenge is best served cold,’ and the older I get, the more I see the wisdom of that.”

She added:

When it comes to the elites, you know, the corporate interests, the law firms, the universities, the media … it’s not going to end well for them, for those that decided that they would act in their perceived very narrow self-interest, which I would underscore, is very short-term self-interest, and, you know, take a knee to Trump.

The promise to crackdown on political opponents is hardly unexpected in this age of rage. Indeed, Democrats can point to the purging of the federal ranks, particularly at the Justice Department, as further justification for a tit-for-tat response.

Democratic politicians and pundits have been fueling the anger of their base with ludicrous claims that democracy is about to die since the 2020 election. They have now used anti-ICE protests to stoke the anger in the hope that it will return them to power in the midterm elections.

Bravo star and liberal podcast host Jennifer Welch praised footage of a “No Kings” protester celebrating the death of Charlie Kirk. After playing the clip, Welch laughed with joy and declared, “So listen up, Democratic establishment. You can either jump on board with this s—, or we’re coming after you in the same way that we come after MAGA. Period.”

The pledge for revenge purges is an obvious way to further motivate a mob. In my book, Rage and the Republic, I discuss how elected officials often try to enlist mobs to advance their political agendas — only to be consumed by the unrest they helped fuel. This yielding to a “mobocracy” was one of the critical dangers that the Framers sought to deter through protections against majoritarian tyranny.

It is a history that figures like Rice are ignoring in the hope of riding this rage wave back into power. The fact is that history has shown that “it’s not going to end well” for establishment figures like Rice who believe that they can control a mob.

  1. Looks like Turley is going back to his old stand-by, fear mongering and exaggerating Democrats intentions. He seems to be admitting that Democrats have a very high chance of gaining power in the mid-terms so he is preempting it by starting to engage in rage-baiting MAGA into another one of his “age of rage” examples.

As the resident libertarian John Say is fond of saying when situations like these are ‘absolutely nearly with certainty’ are going to happen, “turnabout is fair play.”

It’s amazing how Professor Turley ignored the purging and political revenge and radical changes Trump 2.0 enacted. Now he’s sounding the alarm about a similar Democrat change? Funny stuff.

Yesterday Trump was dealt some serious bad news about his tariffs when the Supreme Court ruled trump’s Tariffs under the IEEPA are illegal. He now has to go through Congress to enact the kinds of tariffs he wants and that slows things down immensely. Clearly, he’s upset with SCOTUS and he’s…raging. On the same day Trump got more bad news. The economy is not doing good either. America’s trade deficit get reduced by a mere .2% not the 78% he claimed. Not surprising since he is known to lie a lot. then there’s GDP growth in the last quarter, 1.4% instead of his claimed 4%.

If Democrats want to pursue investigations, prosecutions, “packing the court” etc. when they regain power, it’s because they can and they will. That’s now our political system works. There will be plenty of corruption investigations, looking into Constitutional violations, by DHS, drastically slowing down Trump’s agenda, like Republicans did to Obama, and generally neuter most of Trump’s ambitions for the rest of his term. Of course Turley will switch gears and start the fear mongering and rage-baiting to get MAGA all agitated and bothered by the notion of a Democrat controlled Congress intent on stymieing Trump’s agenda. That will be interesting.

One last note, Robert’s court sure looked like it hard a hard time finding a justification to allow Trump to keep his tariffs without looking like a bunch of hypocrites. Thankfully Roberts and the more rationals of the conservative bunch saw no sane way to help him out. There was a lot of “sniping” at each other in SCOTUS-speak in the dissents and concurring opinions. That was wild.

    1. You are constantly making claims that we can read far more into what Trump says than he actually says.

There is no need to read anything into what Rice has said .
      What is Rice exaggerating ?
Are you arguing that Rice is not intentionally seeking to create fear in those whose policies are at odds with hers ?

You rant about Turley addressing the overtly expressed intentions of Rice,
And then YOU speculate about Turley’s intentions regarding things he has not addressed.

The odds favor democrats taking the house in 2026.
And we do not need Rice to know how that will go.

And in fact if Democrats do take the house and they DO as they promise – they will with near certainty assure that Republicans will retake the house and retain the senate and the presidency in 2028.

But you go for it if that it truly what you think is going to work.

“As the resident libertarian John Say is fond of saying … “turnabout is fair play.””
Correct – Abuse of power is not.

Rice is one of many who abused power 10 years ago and is now promising to do so again.
We should take her at her word and assure she NEVER gets power again.

“It’s amazing how Professor Turley ignored the purging and political revenge and radical changes Trump 2.0 enacted.”
Because Trump is going after people who LAWLESSLY went after him – and others, and who committed crimes while doing so.
Please name ONE person that Trump has “gone after” that:
is not clearly guilty of a crime
is not ALSO clearly guilty of using their power to go after political enemies – and innocent americans who did NOT commit crimes ?

And here you are defending Rice for promising to do it again.

“Yesterday Trump was dealt some serious bad news about his tariffs when the Supreme Court ruled trump’s Tariffs under the IEEPA are illegal.”
      No they ruled them unconstitutional.
But I noted that you are atleast confining this to IEEPA
Trump has numerous other authorities for Tariffs that are clearly constitutional just more difficult to impliment.
Further Johnson has promised to provide legal authority for the Tariffs, and I would be surprised if not only does th Senate join – but by more than 60 votes. There is potentially 300B/yr in additional revenue – even democrats are not going to give that up.

” He now has to go through Congress to enact the kinds of tariffs he wants and that slows things down immensely.”
No, he has other authorities. H has invoked several already – others may take 90 days.

” Clearly, he’s upset with SCOTUS and he’s…raging.”
And tomorow they will rule in his favor on something and he will praise them.

“The economy is not doing good either.”
      It is doing fine.
The Q4 GDP adjustment is due to the schumer shutdown – it has nothing to do with the economy as a whole.
It is an artifact of the fact that the Federal Government is 25% of the US economy.
That we could shutdown the US government for 43 days and ONLY take 2% off GDP with government as 25% of the economy is truly Amazing and a sign that the Economy is doing extremely well.

It did NOT effect jobs, it did NOT effect the stock market, it did not effect wages, it did not effect prices – inflation was revised DOWN.

As to Trade – US exports were a record 5.6T up 6%
Trade to China and Canada was down – everywhere else was UP – Taiwan, Vietnam and Switzerland WAY up.
Further for the first time since 2001 – our Top trading partners, China, Mexico and Canada made less than 40% of trade.
Contra the left – the rest of the world is Buying US goods.

Did the tariffs reduce US purchases from abroad ? Nope. Did they increase US sales to other countries – YUP.

All this established is that we are a wealthy country and even with Tariffs we will buy things.

I would further note As YOU have claimed – that moving production to the US takes time – sort of – we did produce far more last year than before, and particularly manufactured goods. But we did not produce enough to sate our demand, and so still bought more expensive goods from elsewhere.

Which means we STILL have lots of room to grow manufacturing.

BTW a prediction that does not prove correct is NOT a lie.

“If Democrats want to pursue investigations, prosecutions,”
Then they MUST be sure that they are prosecuting people for actual crimes – otherwise that is an abuse of power.

      ““packing the court””
      Please Try.

“There will be plenty of corruption investigations, looking into Constitutional violations, by DHS,”
      ROFL

      “drastically slowing down Trump’s agenda,”
Nope – Trump got most of the executive powers he needs to do what he wants for the next 3 years from the BBB.

As to congressional investigations – those will go nowhere fast.
Obama and Biden perfected the art of sabotaging Congress.
Trump will be more than happy to return the favor.
Congress can not prosecute anyone, and it can not conduct a criminal investigation.
And the house can not expand its power to do anything without a fillibuster proof majority in both chambers.

Current odds of Dems retaking the Senate are 38%.
Probably lower because the GOP needs only 50 seats, while Dems need 51.
Republicans START with 33 seats. DEms with 32.
Republicans will win ID, SD, MT, WY, KS, OK, AR, LA,MS, AL, TN, KY, WV, SC that is 47.
They need to win 3 of AK, TX, NE, IA, FL., OH, All of which are likely GOP.

MI, GA, NC, and ME are tossups – Winning any of those means D’s MUST win 4 of 6 Likely GOP states.

Of ALL the current prediction models Only one has the GOP only winning 50 senate seats.

      “like Republicans did to Obama”
Republicans controlled the hose and the senate.
Regardless, assuming that Dems take the house – which is NOT a given

Unlike the Senate were the BEST Dem prediction at the moment is 50:50

While Dems win in 4 of 5 models – they lose inside elections 213:212 with 10 tossups
Cook is D211:206 with 18 tossups.
Crystal Ball is D211:208 with 16 tossups.
Kalshi is D230R300 with 5 tossups.
Consensus is D210:206 with 19 tossups.

So it is pretty clear the house will hing on about 20 seats.
Most of which are going to be won or lost by 1%.

Most preductions CURRENTLY favor D’s because D voters are fired up – and the oposition is nearly always fired up in midterms.

But Democrats are doing their best to fire up republicans.

      So keep it up.
Keep promissing that you are going to behave lawlessly.

“generally neuter most of Trump’s ambitions for the rest of his term.”
Nope Trump is pretty much set.

      Hear is Trump’s agenda

1). Seal the border and stop the migrant invasion DONE and D’s can not change that until 2028
2). Carry out the largest deportation operation in american history – ICE has funding through 2029
3). End inflation, and make america affordable again. Inflation down to Fed Target 2.1% and dropping.
The house can do nothing about that.
4). Make america the dominant energy producer in the world, by far! US production is already up and rising.
Again a Dem house can’t change that
5). STOP OUTSOURCING, AND TURN THE UNITED STATES INTO A MANUFACTURING SUPERPOWER- in progress and are you really going totry to interfere ?
6). large tax cuts for workers, and no tax on tips! DONE Watch polls change in April.
7). Defend our constitution, our bill of rights, and our fundamental freedoms, including freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the right to keep and bear arms – in progress, regardless do you REALLY want to interfere ?
8). Prevent world war three, restore peace in europe and in the middle east, and build a great iron dome missile defense shield over our entire country — all made in america In progress and with the exception of the missile defense outside of the power of the house.
      9) End the weaponization of government against the american people – And Dems really want to bring that back ? Regardless who controls DOJ ? FBI ? Trump Already has a rich and growing field of political corruption investigations in the works. He is busy probing the 2020 election fraud and embarrassing dems all over, The Minesota fraud is just the tip of the iceberg. Trump has 3 more years to investigate Dem election fraud and Dem financial fraud.
      10) Stop the migrant crime epidemic, demolish the foreign drug cartels, crush gang violence, and lock up violent offenders. Partially done. Crime is way down. And again – are Dems really planning to interfere and How ?
11). Rebuild our cities, including washington dc, making them safe, clean, and beautiful again. Almost nothing done, and Dems are unlikely to cooperate.
12). Strengthen and modernize our military, making it, without question, the strongest and most powerful in the world. Done. and already budgeted.
13). Keep the U.S. dollar as the world’s reserve currency. That is a freebie – even Dems could not stop that in 4 years.
14). Fight for and protect social security and medicare with no cuts, including no changes to the retirement age – little has been done. Are Dems going to oppose this ?
      15) Cancel the electric vehicle mandate and cut costly and burdensome regulations Done and in progress, Trump is deregulating even more than in his first term – and there is nothing you can do.
You gloat about Trump losing the Tariffs – but that SCOTUS decision will make it very hard to put back the regulations Trump is removing.
16).Cut federal funding for any school pushing critical race theory, radical gender ideology, and other inappropriate racial, sexual, or political content on our children. Done and Congress can not undo this
      17) Keep men out of women’s sports. Mostly done
18). Deport pro-hamas radicals and make our college campuses safe and patriotic again. Mostly done and again the house can not stop it.
19). Secure our elections, including same day voting, voter identification, paper ballots, and proof of citizenship – in progress. Trump will either get this BEFORE the 2026 election or nothing will be done. But it appears that Republicans are comitted to FORCE Senate Dems to go through as many as 3 standing fillibusters if neded to pass this. I am Very glad Republicans are NOT getting rid of the Fillibuster.
      20) Unite our country by bringing it to new and record levels of success. It is not possible to unite with left wing nuts like yourself. But we are already on the glide path to success.

So what part of Trump’s agenda are you planning to thwart ?

“Of course Turley will switch gears and start the fear mongering and rage-baiting to get MAGA all agitated and bothered by the notion of a Democrat controlled Congress intent on stymieing Trump’s agenda. That will be interesting.”
Why ? While there are some things that it would be nice if the GOP accomplished that require passing legislation,
for the most part what is necescary for Trump’s agenda has been passed.

“One last note, Robert’s court sure looked like it hard a hard time finding a justification to allow Trump to keep his tariffs without looking like a bunch of hypocrites. Thankfully Roberts and the more rationals of the conservative bunch saw no sane way to help him out. There was a lot of “sniping” at each other in SCOTUS-speak in the dissents and concurring opinions. That was wild.”

This is actually a 3:3:3 decision. the 3 left justices all voted politically – they did NOT sign on to the majro questions doctrine, the core of their position is Biden and Obama can do what they want Trump can do nothing.
They ar only accidentally on the right side of the issue.
With all respect – Thomas, and Alito are just wrong. Kavanaugh is mostly wrong, but he is the only justice that addressed what to do about the money collected. Everyone else ducked the issue.

Roberts – like the 3 left justices was hypocritical – but right. His decision here would also apply to PPACA which he unconstitutionally blessed twice.

Gorsuch’s concurrance is excellent and should have been the majority opinion.

As to the “sniping” – it was standard disagrementover constitutional interpretation, it was not personal and does not reveal any split.

Regardless, the decision is correct – and consequential – not in its impact on Trump’s tariffs, but because it means that it will be far harder to undo Trump’s deregulatory efforts. All New left wing nut regulations of consequence will have to hav SPECIFIC authorization by congress.

That means to put the Obama climate rules back in place CONGRESS will have to find that CO2 is a pollutant.
Have fun getting 60 votes in the Senate for that.
We are seeing massive gutting of left wing nut regulations – but MORE IMPORTANT This ruling makes them far harder to put back.

There is a good chance Congress will Give Trump power to use Tariff threats to negotiate trade deals.
But if they do not – Trump’s agenda will survive.

      1. X: “Yesterday Trump was dealt some serious bad news about his tariffs when the Supreme Court ruled trump’s Tariffs under the IEEPA are illegal.”

John: No they ruled them unconstitutional.

No, they didn’t. The constitution had nothing to do with the case. The case was over the meaning of one word in one statute: Does “regulate” include “tax”? It doesn’t in any other statute, but does it in this one? And the answer is “no, it doesn’t”.

That doesn’t mean Congress couldn’t have said the president could “regulate or tax” imports, as well as regulate exports. It could have said that, it just didn’t. The constitution has no objection to it. It bans taxes on exports, but not regulation, and it allows taxes on imports.

The major questions doctrine is not about the constitution, it’s about how to interpret statutes. It says that Congress doesn’t hide elephants in mouseholes, and when it means to speak to a major question it does so explicitly. So if Congress meant IEEA to let the president tax imports it would have said so, and the fact that it didn’t say so means it didn’t intend it to have that effect, and no one at the time it passed would have guessed that it had that effect. Nothing to do with the constitution.

    2. Lets see – SCOTUS tells Trump he can not do something that YOU claim would ruin the economy – though it did not,
and you are now gloating because you think NOT doing the thing that would ruin the conomy will ruin the economy ?

  2. SUSAN RICE CYA

Here is a brief, accurate summary including Michael Flynn of the January 20, 2017 “note to file” email written by Susan E. Rice:

The email memorializes a January 5, 2017 Oval Office meeting following an intelligence briefing on Russian election interference. Present were Barack Obama, Joe Biden, James Comey, Sally Yates, and Rice.

    According to Rice’s memo:

President Obama emphasized that any investigation should proceed “by the book” and that he was not directing law-enforcement action.

From a national security perspective, he asked whether there was any reason intelligence about Russia could not be fully shared with the incoming administration.

Comey raised concerns about sharing certain sensitive information related to Michael Flynn, who was set to become National Security Adviser, due to the FBI’s ongoing counterintelligence investigation.

Obama asked to be informed if developments arose that would affect how classified information should be shared with the incoming team.

The email documents that discussion and reflects Obama’s stated insistence that the matter be handled through standard procedures while also addressing concerns about Flynn in the context of the Russia investigation.

    1. Most of the world knows that Rice’s memo was CYA – that she KNEW the law was NOT being followed, and she was trying to assure that SHE did not get prosecuted.

Ar you trying to say the law WAS followed in Crossfire Hurricane or the Flynn investigation ?

  3. That’s it.
    I’m done.
This blog is a portal to Hell.
I hope you are proud of your creation, Turley.

        1. “Nuts” to the gnats!

          AI Overview

“Nuts!” (i.e. Gnats) is the legendary, one-word reply sent by U.S. Brigadier General Anthony McAuliffe on December 22, 1944, to a German demand for surrender during the Battle of the Bulge. As acting commander of the 101st Airborne Division in Bastogne, Belgium, his defiant, polite alternative to “go to hell” became a symbol of American resolve and bravery.

    1. Anonymous, you are not done. You can’t control your obsession with Trump.
You’ll be back in full throat tomorrow but we won’t let you forget that you said you were done.
You can’t help it. You’re like the woman walking down the street who must touch every lamppost.
Oops you missed one so you have to start all over again. Touch a lamppost mutter mutter. Touch a lampposts mutter mutter mutter. See you tomorrow.

    2. Why?
Rice made some crazy comments, in public. The good professor points that out. Most of us are pointing out the far-leftist Democrats desire to punish anyone they THINK bent the knee to Trump for . . . something. We are pointing out how the Democrats, by their own words, seek to undermine the rule of law, the Constitution to ensure one party rule. THEIRS! It is not fear mongering on the good professor’s part. If the far leftist Democrats would not say wild and crazy things, professor Turley would have nothing to comment on the Democrat party. How is it his or our fault the far-leftist Democrats have highjacked the party in favor of socialism and fascism?

  4. Others have already noted, but the DNC is now a full-blown totalitarian regime, there is zero difference between them and the socialist fascists of the 30s, none. They have openly stated repeatedly at this point precisely what they intend to do – they are insane. There can no longer be any mincing of words and we had better pray they do not regain a toehold in November. It won’t be a ‘soft’ coup this time, and many, many innocent and good people will suffer, likely including you and I. We cannot allow this to happen. If there are any true liberals left – WAKE UP. We are standing on the precipice of something truly vile and ugly.

      1. Stalin starved eight million of his peasants, and Mao did even worse, so one doesn’t need to be a NAZI to see the point.

          1. “HISTORIANS SUGGEST THE TOTAL COULD EXCEED 1,000,000”

            AI Overview

Recent scholarship confirms that historical death counts for…the Civil War…have significantly underestimated the total, long-term mortality, including indirect, post-war, and, in the case of the Civil War, civilian/enslaved deaths.

Civil War Death Toll Estimates (1861-1865 & Aftermath)

Best Estimate of Total Deaths: While 620,000–650,000 was the standard, a 2011/2012 study by Dr. J. David Hacker suggested 750,000 to 850,000. A 2024 analysis using full-count census data provides a more precise estimate of 698,000 (with a possible range up to ~750,000).

“All-In” Estimate (Including Displacement/Suffering): If one includes the deaths of enslaved people and civilians due to disease, starvation, and exposure caused by the disruption of the war, historians suggest the total could exceed 1,000,000.

Psychological/Physical Displacement: At least 100,000+ veterans suffered from “soldier’s heart” (PTSD). In the South, 20–40% of white men aged 16–24 in some communities were killed, drastically altering social structures and creating a massive, long-term, displaced population of widows and orphans.

      2. @Anonymous

Only 16 words? That couldn’t have been worth the pay. Times are tight since we slashed the NGOs, huh?

    1. James, exaggerate much? Raging? Turley succeed in getting you all riled up about it?

There is nothing crazy about what the Democrats intend to do or can do when they regain power. It’s absolutely no different than what Trump and the Republican did when they gained power. Absolutely zero difference.

Trump went after his political enemies using the DOJ right? And they failed spectacularly. Turley initially was all over the indictments and alleged fraud claims of AG Letitia James, and former FBI director Comey. Then the incompetence, legal setbacks, outright illegal appointments, and atrocious handling of their cases by idiots appointed by Trump forced Turley to essentially shut up about those cases. Because he can’t be shining a spot-light on Trump’s incompetence and truly embarrassing legal “missteps”.

What is truly “vile and ugly” is the enabling of Trump’s incompetence and outright lawlessness. Democrats will have their hands full juggling fixing Trump economic messes and lawlessness and corruption within Trump’s DOJ, DHS, ICE, CBP, etc, etc. Trump made a huge mess and as always Democrats will once again have to clean it up.

      1. Whose riled ?
Pointing out that you and the left are lying again is just a normal day

“There is nothing crazy about what the Democrats intend to do or can do when they regain power.”
Of course there is – you infringed on peoples rights under color of law with hoaxes and fraudulent investigations,
and now you are promising to do it again.
That is crazy. How well did ti work for you last time ?

” It’s absolutely no different than what Trump and the Republican did when they gained power. Absolutely zero difference.”
Of course it is different. Investigating Actual Crimes, and investigating those who abused power is not the same as abusing power to infringe on innocent peoples rights over hoaxes.

You already lost this isssue – why are you stupidly promising to do it again ?

It is YOUR bad conduct that got Trump elected.

How much mor popular do you want to make him ?

Are you capable of learning from your own mistakes ?

“Trump went after his political enemies using the DOJ right? ”
No Trump went after people who committed crimes.
Trump has maligned Bragg, and Enmoron, and Merchan, and ….
But he has not “gone after them”
Why ? Because as vile as their conduct was it did not violate federal law.
James, did, Comey did, Bolton did, Brennan did.

This is not the collusion delusion or the Biden era where left wing nuts went after CLEARLY innocent people.

        Did FBI send a swat team to Comey’s, Jame’s, … homes ?

        “And they failed spectacularly.”
Why do you think they are over ?

” Turley initially was all over the indictments and alleged fraud claims of AG Letitia James, and former FBI director Comey.”
        Because they committed crimes.

“Then the incompetence, legal setbacks, outright illegal appointments, and atrocious handling of their cases by idiots appointed by Trump forced Turley to essentially shut up about those cases.”
These cases are on appeal – we will see what happens.
Regardless, if Halligan’s appointment was illegal – then how was Weises legal ? And the problems with Smiths are far far worse,
But you will not admit that.

” Because he can’t be shining a spot-light on Trump’s incompetence and truly embarrassing legal “missteps”.”
Trump has a pretty stellar record on appeal.

“What is truly “vile and ugly” is the enabling of Trump’s incompetence and outright lawlessness.”
        We have been through this
        What incompetence ?
        What lawlessness ?

When you make claims those of you who have zero credibility are expectd to provide evidence.

” Democrats will have their hands full juggling fixing Trump economic messes and lawlessness and corruption within Trump’s DOJ, DHS, ICE, CBP, etc, etc.”

Lets assume you take the hose and the senate ? What are you going to do ?
Without a fillibuster proof majority – you can not get laws to Trump’s desk.
Without a veto proof one – you can not enact laws.

Asuming you get both houses of congress – what are you going to do ?
You can impeach Trump appointments all over – but you need 66 votes in the senate to remove.

You can shut down the government – and get blamed.
You can fail to pass a budget and you are stuck with Continuing resolutions – which let Trump continue what he is doing.
You can drag people in front of committees – that will still be almost half republican,
You can demand information and Trump may or may not comply,
You can hold people in contempt – but DOJ will not prosecute.

And all the while Trump will continue with his agenda and people will get angrier and angrier with you.

And Vance is between 8-10pts ahead of any Democrat right now for 2028.
And honestly the entire Democratic lineup is a bunch of losers.

2028 is a long way away – but PLEASE do everything you can to further ruin the democratic brand.

“Trump made a huge mess and as always Democrats will once again have to clean it up.”:
        ROFL

Trump’s agenda is already on a glide path to 2028, and there is nothing you can do about it.

While I have examined what happens if D’s win in 2026 – the odds favor Ds in the house.

But unless your claims about the economy actually prove true – it is unlikely Dems will win the house.
And a strong economy for the next 3 years – and your getting 8 years of President Vance.

    2. James: There certainly is merit in your musings.
Susan Rice was a big supporter of Robert Mugabe, the Marxist-Leninist first PM of Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia) and the overthrow of control by white landowners. Looking at her dissertation and subsequent smooth-talkin’ advocacy for her own version of “democracy” since then, you clearly get an inkling/maybe unkind inference, that she is out to reform the very definition of “democracy” to the pleasing of a new age of social justice Democrats ultimately lusting for power.
(Mugabe was internally known for mass murders of political opponents and dictator-style control).

(BTW, “Mugabe, who had run Zimbabwe since 1980 [ZANU-PF] and overseen its descent into economic ruin while his wife shopped for luxury goods, was gone.”
      https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/zimbabwe-politics-mugabe/)

    3. James,
I will, respectfully, disagree with you on one point: I am of the opinion only a small but very vocal part of the DNC is going for “full-blown totalitarian regime.”
But I agree with you 100% that, that small but very vocal part of the DNC is very like “the socialist fascists of the 30s.” Absolutely. They have said in the past exactly how they will guarantee to rig the system to ensure Republicans can never win a election again. They want a one party rule. THEIRS!!! We have to point that out, as you do on a regular basis for which I thank you.
However, the sane and normal Democrats to see how their party had been highjacked by the far-left socialist fascists who are pushing for one party rule. As if that is a good thing. We need them to see the parallels to 1930s Germany. Things that are preventing them from seeing it is they only watch/read MSM that agrees with their point of view. I also fear they find some kind of charismatic like leader, to unify them all, and justify their “full-blown totalitarian regime.” Just like the Nazis did with Hitler.

  5. Turley has completely lost his mind and any semblance of honesty and rectitude to the MAGA cult.
I hope the monetary compensation is worth the complete loss of his dignity and credibility.

The Trump administration is far and away the most abusive administration we have ever had in terms of exacting political revenge through the DOJ.
The list is endless. Here are just a few
Mark Kelly, Elissa Slotkin, Jason Crowe, Chrissy Houlahan, Chris Deluzio, Maggie Goodlander, Jack Smith James Comey, Beyoncé, Oprah Winfrey, Bruce Springsteen, Chris Krebs, Letitia James, Adam Schiff, Jerome Powell, Tim Walz, James Bolton, Mark Milley, John Brennan, Anthony Fauci, Bill and Hilary Clinton, Andrew Weissman, multiple FBI agents and DOJ officials.

There have been almost 500 people targeted for investigations by Trump.

    1. ….And, do you know how many were “targeted” in the Biden/Garland prosecutions? …. Many of the names you list have merely been reprimanded, and no jailed. Nothing at all like the Garland DOJ who geo-fenced, hunted, jailed, and ruined countless “nobodies” in the DC jails and courts.

Your hypocrisy and inhumanity seems to be limitless in the course of your slanted cultist’s mind bent on control.

    1. Democrats get demonized here in this blog, but when I watch their interviews,
they come across as reasonable people.

      1. Then watch their TikTok videos. That’s when they’re only speaking to each other. “Thoughts and prayers”

      2. Democrats are not demonized, here: They are rightly identified with cogent warnings about thier behaviors and proclivities (ideology), methods and plans, in demand of one-sided, full and unchallenged, control of government and society, thus, killing the free practice of civil oppostion and compromise.

  7. AI ( Susan Rice pursuing donald trump )

In early 2026, Susan Rice —former National Security Advisor under Barack Obama—has emerged as a leading critic of President Donald Trump’s second administration. Her “pursuit” of Trump is primarily through public accountability and high-profile critiques of his national security and fiscal policies.

Recent Criticisms and “Pursuit” of Accountability

“Board of Peace” Critique: Rice has publicly denounced Trump’s “Board of Peace,” calling it a “pseudo-governmental vanity project” and a “vehicle for grift” involving the misappropriation of $10 billion from U.S. taxpayers.

National Security Warnings: She has raised alarms regarding “Signalgate,” where administration officials reportedly shared classified operational details over insecure messaging apps. She argues these actions, along with Trump’s financial debts, pose a grave risk to national security and global credibility.

Corporate Accountability: Rice has warned corporations that “take a knee” to Trump’s policies, suggesting they will be held accountable for enabling what she views as the deconstruction of the rule of law.

    Historical Context of the Conflict
The tension between Rice and Trump dates back to his first term:

“Unmasking” Allegations: In 2017, Trump accused Rice of a crime related to “unmasking” his associates in intelligence reports. Bipartisan investigations later found no evidence of wrongdoing, concluding her actions were within standard national security procedures.

Public Sparring: Rice has frequently used op-eds and interviews to call Trump’s statements a “disturbing pattern of behavior” that endangers the country.

AI ( Susan Rice russian hoax ):

Allegations surrounding former Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice
and a “Russian hoax” revolve around claims that she, along with other Obama administration officials, participated in a “manufactured” narrative to connect the 2016 Donald Trump campaign to Russian interference. These allegations, which intensified in 2017 and saw a resurgence in 2025, contend that intelligence was politicized to undermine Trump.
Key details regarding Susan Rice and these claims include:

“Unmasking” Allegations (2017): Rice was accused of requesting the identities of Trump associates who were incidentally caught up in foreign surveillance, a process known as “unmasking”. Critics, including then-President Trump, alleged she did this for political purposes, which she denied.

“Manufactured” Intelligence Claim (2025): A report released by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) in July 2025 alleges that in December 2016, a draft President’s Daily Brief (PDB) indicated Russia did not impact the election, but this was suppressed by officials including Rice, John Brennan, and James Clapper, who instead pushed a narrative that Russia intervened to help Trump.

House Intelligence Testimony: Rice testified before the House Intelligence Committee, where she admitted she never saw direct empirical evidence of a conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Defense: Rice has consistently denied any wrongdoing, stating that her unmasking requests were part of her job and that she “leaked nothing to nobody”.

The debate surrounding these claims is heavily polarized, with supporters of the “hoax” theory calling for investigations into the Obama administration, while others defend the intelligence community’s findings and characterize the allegations against Rice as a political smoke screen.

    1. In April 1994, when the Clinton Administration pretended to be ignorant of the unspeakable terror and massacres in Rwanda, Susan Rice, Director on the National Security Council staff at the White House, was unconcerned about taking immediate action to stop the killings. Rather, she was fretting about the political consequences of calling the Rwandan tragedy a “genocide.”

  8. What we are witnessing is the predictable result of an electorate formed for team loyalty rather than constitutional governance.

A constitutional republic does not depend primarily on the virtue of leaders. It depends on the capacity of its citizens. When citizens think in terms of team victory instead of constitutional limits, they will tolerate in their own side what they would condemn in the other. Power becomes the objective, and principle becomes optional.

This is why the truest output measure of where our country is headed is not found in the presidency, Congress, or the courts. Those are downstream indicators.

The true measure is what our citizens have been formed to be. A citizenry formed for self-government sustains liberty. A citizenry formed for faction sustains conflict.

Government will always reflect the capacity of its people.

    1. OLLY,
      Well said.
I find Rice and those like her, in their quest for absolute power, for one party rule, very disturbing.

      1. UpstateFarmer-Susan Rice has all the empathy and subtlety of a Malignant Tumor.
Proceed with caution that she does not infiltrate good and viable tissue. The usual course is delicate but extensive resection of the tumor and then removal to the pathology lab for study in a limited access environment. The main question after that is disposal, how and when, or long term observation for future preventative measures ie: vaccines or therapeutic vehicles.

      2. Upstate, what is notable is how many here are willing to dismiss or defend Susan Rice’s rhetoric simply because it comes from their side. Constitutional limits do not bend based on party affiliation. If the expansion of power is accepted when exercised by those one supports, the principle that protects everyone when power changes hands is already weakened.

    2. Olly, the word capacity is troubling. Greater or lesser capacity by individuals? It’s a real lesser capacity currently.

      1. This story today is evidence of lesser civic capacity in the constitutional sense. Not lesser as individuals, but lesser in terms of shared expectations that power must remain limited and bound by law. When those expectations weaken, escalation becomes easier for everyone.

  9. And this, in a nutshell, is why I will never vote for a Democrat ever again. Yes, there are Republicans who say things they shouldn’t, but to openly vow revenge and retribution as if this is what the country needs and wants is the height of irresponsibility. This is the real threat to democracy: high-ranking public officials, elected and appointed, who repeatedly call for violence and rage and the suppression of anyone who dares to vote against them.

  10. Ms Rice is consistent with her views and recently implied threats. The significant class and Corporations deemed to not been adequately “Resisting” will need to pay penance (MONEY) to move forward in a Democratic Party-run America. This isn’t surprising or noteworthy, just a stern reminder of the reality that the upper crust will face. Perhaps it’s to encourage a bit of subversion and intrigue that can foment back-stabbings, leaking, and some jumping from the Trump ship should Dems retake Congress and provide rationale to start plotting the mandatory shift back to Democratic Party “Values” and pay to play by their rules and expectations. The “rage rhetoric” with violent implications keeps the Progressive MSNow zombie-voters ever-ready, as those anxious to storm the barricades, show-trial Trump and associates, and at last vanquish Democracy’s greatest threat. Also, normalizing and destigmatizing Leftist violence against political enemies is a key ingredient to retain in the minds of both the targeted and the mob awaiting to be unleashed.

  11. We are watching a spiritual war played out in the flesh. God is still in control,
but at what cost will it be for these dupes!!

  12. Susan Rice has revealed who she has been all along. When she speaks of a knock on the door she is not just talking about politicians on the right but every American who voted for Donald Trump. The censorship of your speech will return to X and Facebook. If you criticize the new politburo you will hear the heavy hand of totalitarianism pounding loudly on the entrance to your domicile. The leftist used to hide their desire for control by socialism but now they are emboldened to say what they mean right out loud. Will you allow your hearing to hear them and your eyes to see them or will you just shuffle about with your head down muttering surely it can’t happen to me? Awake or woke what will you choose?

  13. You people are preposterous.
    You ask for evidence.
    You are provided evidence.
Then you turn blind eyes to said evidence.
Even Epstein wasn’t enough to make you abandon the Trump ship.
There you still are, at Trump’s side, in spite of every cruel, rotten, horrible
thing he has ever said or done.
You really are members of a cult.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Targeting_of_political_opponents_and_civil_society_under_the_second_Trump_administration

    1. Anonymous has been very heavy about the Trump Epstein deal.
She just won’t let herself believe that the pictures of Bill Clinton in a hot tub and getting a massage on Epstein island are real. Bill Gates who is a big Democratic donor asked Epstein’s advice about his relationships with women. The difference between Anonymous and me is that I don’t believe that these relationships prove that Gates or Clinton participated in sex with minors while Anonymous believes that because of photographs of Trump and Epstein that Trump is automatically guilty of pedophilia. Anonymous suffers from the fog of the war inside her head. From suspicion to hate to madness marks the course of a galleon lost in a white capped sea. Sadly.

    2. STILL at Trump’s side: because the Marxist-dems (the alternatives) are even more vicious and scary. The cultitsts are the ones like Rice (and you), feverishly chomiping at the bits to get back in control, so they can establish THE REAL tyranny:

a police-state, run by a one-party system, that will openly subvert laws and rights:

to punish far more of those who do not fall in step with their techno-fasict regime: punishments far worse than Trump has ever done….

be afraid, very afraid, EXTREME-CULTIST-ANON, for they will turn on you too, once your usefulness is spent.

  14. The Salem witch trials, the day-care sex-abuse hysteria, the George Floyd riots, and now TDS. Mass formation psychosis is a thing.

    1. TDS? Really? That’s all you have? An ad hominem attack like that?
F.u.ck. you. I’m sick of hearing that.
      It doesn’t mean anything.
      It has nothing of substance.
It’s something a cult follower would say about enemies of the cult.

      1. What Rice said was of substance. She is saying the quite part out loud. The same thing we have been saying for years now. Rice and her far leftist Democrats are telling everyone and anyone exactly who they are and what they will do if they get back in power. And what does that look like? One party rule. That is their goal. They have said it in the past too. James Carville has said it. But the SC and the Constitution keeps getting in their way. So, they have come up with a plan of how to ensure no one but the Democrats win elections again.

        1. You would accuse the guy next to you of picking his nose while you are picking your own nose, while he is not picking his own nose.

          1. I do not have to accuse anyone of anything. Democrats do it to themselves all the time. They and you just get upset when the rest of us point that out.

      2. TDS is not an ad-hominem. It is a real and severe MASS PSYCHOSIS that has been shown to exist [especially] in modern times, the evidence of which is the mass genocides of the “other” as Rice (and her cult) would like to see accomlished: see Nazi Germany’s removal of Jews, and the ethnic cleanings by Muslims of christians and other ethinc groups practicing “other” faiths in the Middle East.

    2. TDS is not mentioned anywhere in the DSM.
To say that someone has TDS is like saying that someone has the cooties.
It is not as clever or amusing as the Trump cult likes to think it is.

      1. I actually have to agree. It is not amusing. It really is a mental condition. People with TDS are in fact, unhinged. They are delusional. They think they are fighting against . . . something.

      2. But you do have cooties. What do you think is causing that itch of yours to make all those unhinged posts? Cooties.

      3. I am sure, though, that a professional could find DSM categories that provide generalized categories that might include TDS. Obsessive thinking is featured in a number of behavioral disorders. Since there is great variety in the personalities that are preoccupied with hatred of Trump and MAGA, there must necessarily be a number of DSM categories that are appropriate.

On a simpler note, obsessive hatred isn’t healthy for anyone. It is like drinking poison and expecting the other fellow to die.

The cynical fomenters of obsessive hatreds—such as our politicians and our media—must enjoy the telepathic control that they enjoy over their pawns. The pawns, meanwhile, enjoy the illusion of power that hatred brings while suffering its effects in internal turmoil and damaged relationships with family and friends.

  15. Revenge is certainly possible BUT the Dems will likely need the help of their RINO friends to get it across the finish line. With plenty of miffed Half-Wit RINO’s it can certainly happen but those same morons better realize pitch forks can stick them just as easily.

  16. Rice is Obama Stooge and is very nervous about the Grand Jury in Florida. She along with all the Obama/Left Wing Radical Dem’s need to be held fully accountable including financial and JAIL TIME,
