Some of us have been writing about the rise in anti-Semitism in the United States, particularly on the left. Anti-Semitic rhetoric has become normalized in our political discourse, as is evident in the 35th Congressional District race unfolding in Texas. In an Instagram post last week, Democratic candidate Maureen Galindo pledged that she would turn the “Karnes ICE Detention Center into a prison for American Zionists and former ICE officers for human trafficking.”
The anti-Israeli movement has been growing for years in the Democratic Party. According to recent polls, two-thirds of Democrats (67%) now support Palestinians over Israel (17%). Almost sixty percent of Democrats have a negative view, and only 13% holding a positive view of Israel.
That anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian movement has extreme elements that are unabashedly anti-Semitic.
Galindo clearly believes that she can garner greater support with such hateful rhetoric. She added that she will make the ICE Detention Center “a castration processing center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists.”
Galindo, a sex therapist and housing activist, is running against Johnny Garcia in a primary runoff. Democrats have joined in condemning her remarks.
The concern is that American politics is becoming increasingly radicalized and violent.
Galindo is particularly vile in her comments.
In other social media posts, Galindo has accused “billionaire Zionists” of controlling San Antonio and South Texas trafficking networks. When confronted with her comments by Texas Public Radio last week, Galindo insisted that her campaign against “Zionist Jews” is in no way anti-Semitic:
“I’m not antisemitic. In fact, my last serious relationship was with a Jewish man,” Galindo said, as reported by The Times of Israel. “I’m against Zionist Jews. When I said that the Jews who own Hollywood are doing this, do all Jews own Hollywood? No. The Zionist Jews do. The Zionist Jews own our media, our banks, and all of our politicians.”
It is the same message that has echoed through the ages as shown in this World War II Slovak poster of decrying those who are a “servant to the Jew.”
Galindo’s writings are a chilling insight into the twisted logic and rationalization of the anti-Semitism sweeping over the country.
It would be a mistake to dismiss Galindo as an isolated extremist on the left. These voices are growing and hatred for Israel becomes a rallying cry at protests.
Please don’t try to convince me that this dust up which began decades ago with Islamist aspirations of reestablishing a caliphate in the Lavant and beyond isn’t a religious war. As for the Jew haters out there, the targets of your venom are no longer your grandfather‘s Jews, nor your great grandfather’s for that matter. That fact, probably scares the living shit out of your. What likely happens is either the content and timid let these fascist take over or both sides become violent until one wins, as in pre-war Getmany.
Could the woke mind virus just pass? I guess, but it doesn’t seem likely to me when the left controls so many institutions as the Professor points out over and over again. Not that I think he would agree with this comment. He’d say both sides do it. But not to the same degree. Not even close.
If I am going to make a wish it would not be that anybody got hurt or died. It would be that they changed their minds. But when someone makes remarks like that, if someone took him out, I guess I would understand. They aren’t going to wait until they get power.
Because it’s not just him. It’s the entire party, the majority who wish Trump was dead and are willing to do anything to take total power. They will not be kind and empathetic when they win. They tried to kill DT, put him in jail and bankrupt him already and they will put people in concentration camps or kill them when they can.
Does being civil and trying to live in a democracy require you let people jail and kill you? It’s terribly sad. It’s not the country I grew up in. I feel like we lived in a golden age until Obama. I grew up a pacifist. I still abhor violence. Most people in my world do. But it’s reaching a critical phase and, like in previous eras, I can understand when people fight back.
I know this will seem harsh to some. I’d like to hope it doesn’t get worse.

The distinction between “Jews” and “Zionist Jews” is meaningless. A Jew who is not a zionist is a Jew only by accident of birth. A Jew who is not a zionist is like an American who is a citizen only by having been born here, but who rejects all of the values that the USA stands for, and would just as soon see it overthrown by its enemies.
Even the Haredim who trumpet their rejection of zionism do so based on a specific and very narrow definition of zionism that no one outside the Jewish community shares; by the definition used by the rest of the world, especially by “anti-zionists” like this woman, the Haredim are the biggest and most extreme zionists of all.
The two dozen or so who actually demonstrate with “Palestinians” are literally mentally ill, and are shunned by almost the entire Haredi community.

Where’s the sedition? Or has sedition now been redefined to include Israel? Even though galindo is bonkers but she still has a first ammendment right to freedom of speech.
And no one has prevented her from speaking.
