Meet Ola Mae Agee — Alleged Crack Dealer

Pensacola, Florida (The Weekly Vice) – Ola Mae Agee, 87, in Pensacola, Florida made for a rather curious mug shot this week after being arrested for allegedly selling crack to an undercover officer.

Agee allegedly sold the drugs from her home and is charged with selling $20 worth of crack cocaine.

She is in not-so-good company with other women “of a certain age” in jail, here and here and here and here and here.

  1. Michael. What you say may be true and I will not argue with it as we know very little about this woman and her life.

What I will say is that there may be another side to the story, that being simply that young criminals with the passing of time turn into old criminals.

I am not sure which sort of person we have here, but would not be surprised either way.

  2. What is remarkable…is that this senior has to resort to selling crack to eat…we live in a great country…you wouldn’t even know she existed if she didn’t busted for dealing crack…that is what is remarkable…lets just keep cutting and gutting all the programs that are designed to help the poor and see how much crack sales improve?

  3. No “Guiness Book”record here:

“Remarkably, Agee is not the oldest person arrested for peddling crack. In 2004, a 96-year-old North Carolina woman was arrested (along with some younger kin) for selling the drug from her Kings Mountain home, according to the Smoking Gun. “

  4. “Let us be honest, they did not want to get stuck with her medical care.”

    Bingo!

If she’d been 20 they’d have put her in the pokey for sure.

  5. After Agee was processed, she was released on her own recognizance because of her age, Roy said, according to the Pensacola News Journal.

Let us be honest, they did not want to get stuck with her medical care.
