Reality TV Iraqi Style: Show Plants Fake Car Bombs on Celebrities

In perhaps the most frightening example of how life in Iraq has been permanently mutated by the war, a reality television show has gained popularity with the angle that they plant a bomb in a celebrity’s car and then have the bomb discovered at a checkpoint. The laughs just keep rolling like bodies from a blast.

The show is called “Put Him in Bucca” — named after one of our former prison complexes in Iraq. The show is a hit during the month of Ramadan. However, some (sane) people have objected that this is tasteless to the extreme. It turns out, however, that television executives are the same everywhere and the show’s management insists that it will continue to make merry with mass killings.

It appears that our soldiers have the same interest in “punking” people with explosives, but they use live grenades.
