Man Steals Painting of Virgin Mary to Pay For Abortion For an Underaged Girl He Raped

170px-VladimirskayaIf I recall correctly from my high school preparatory seminary, there are venial sinners and mortal sinners, but we might have to find a third category for Aurelio Vallerillo-Sanchez, 39. He was convicted of stealing a 300-year-old painting of the Virgin Mary to pay for an abortion for a teenage girl whom he is accused of raping. That should cover the bases for a one-way ticket to the hot zone.

There was nothing immaculate about this conception. Vallerillo-Sanchez seemed determined to rid himself of the baby — and evidence of his original crime.

Vallerillo-Sanchez fled Nebraska to Mexico with both the Virgin Mary and the pregnant teen. No abortion occurred and he then pushed the girl to put up the child for adoption.

Vallerillo-Sanchez, 39, was convicted of first-degree sexual assault and felony theft. He was sentenced up to 70 years in prison.

  1. maureen,

Not to dissuade your opinion of me but please look of the definition of words

Correction; . . . please look up [sic] the definition of words. . . .

I wish that we had the ability to correct our typos I am praying for that. Not really just wishful, but hold your hands out and see which one fills up faster.

    AY

Or should I say oy? The man was sentenced to 70 years for first-degree sexual assault and felony theft, not for the theft alone.

Is not Larceny a theft? Is not Rape a theft? They are both Violations of the Laws. Larceny is taking the personal property of another with the intent to permanently deprive. Humm, sounds like theft to me.

  3. maureen,

Not to dissuade your opinion of me but please look of the definition of words that you do not understand and the usage. Better yet take a linguistics class and learn the root cause of the bastardized language we call English.

    prey (pr)
    n.
    1. An animal hunted or caught for food; quarry.
    2. One that is defenseless, especially in the face of attack; a victim.
    3. The act or practice of preying.
    intr.v. preyed, prey·ing, preys
    1. To hunt, catch, or eat as prey: Owls prey on mice.
    2. To victimize or make a profit at someone else’s expense.
    3. To plunder or pillage.
    4. To exert a baneful or injurious effect: Remorse preyed on his mind.

The act or practice of preying/praying profit/prophet take your choice. One is to be used for good one is to thought evil. Many more similarities than you can imagine.

Did you misspell pray on purpose because you are a jerk? How many pictures of the Virgin do we need? I need as many as possible… when I look at them, I am in awe of how strong, humble, giving and compassionate one woman can be. She prays for you every day.

  6. Hail Mary, Full of Grace. . . . We Prey for you in Our Time of Need.

Exactly how many old paintings do they need of you anyway?

The one that gets me is the Priest Thief, well that all are in some way some just more blatant than others. Every Parish he The Priest Thief worked in he took some mementos/ reminder. He had over 3,600 crosses and/or crucifixes.

He did end up in Prison some place in Arizona to serve real time.

So this man gets 70 years for one theft and some people are left poor because of the abuse of the church. Ok, I know possession is 9/10th of the law.

  7. I would think that a painting that old would have paid for many abortions. Sounds like an excuse to me to try to reduce his sentence. I hope he lives long enought to serve the entire 70 year sentence!

  8. Wow.

With an act like that one has to wonder what Vallerillo-Sanchez does for an encore.

  9. “The penance will be one billion Our Fathers, ten billion Hail Marys, and a trillion Acts of Contrition, my child.”
