Top 500: Vote For Your Favorite Lawyers

header_logoThe annual selection of the top 500 lawyers in America has begun at LawDragon. You can vote for your favorite colleagues, teachers, or counsel.

While I am happy to be on the ballot, I am more happy to see others not on the ballot. Notably, John Ashcroft is no longer on the list. Nor is John Yoo or most other Bush lawyers. Also missing is Alberto Gonzales this year.

What is interesting is the absence of Justice Sonia Sotomayor. Clarence Thomas and Ruth Bader Ginsburg are also off the list, even though the rest of the Court makes it on the ballot. Judiciary Chairman John Conyers and other members of Congress are also not on the list.

Mespo is living proof that even the developmentally disabled can use the internet….

From some of your posts I wonder if the saying should go like this: You spot it you got it.

  2. Mespo(as usual), tryed to fake this guy out and feverishly misinterpreted what he was able to glean off the internet (no doubt wikkipedia),to get in on the argument, or rather discussion. He got Pummeled!

  3. Go back and reread how he dimantled and exposed Mespo, when he tryed to slide a bunch of mumbo-jumbo and doublespeak into the argument. He “trashed” Mespo……..

  4. I wish that Catholic apologist would return back to this bolg. He wrote so eloquently and blew away Mespo, Buddha(pest) and Mike Spinout…… Gregory is my HERO!

  5. Recalling that I was admonished for not following the “Chicago Way” by voting in the ABA poll a mere one time, this poll I have voted quite early and very often.

  6. O.K. seamus,

I see that you really do take your duties as a beauty queen seriously and I am honor bound to write you in for Miss California. Good luck and god-speed!

  7. Professor Turley,
I spent 3 years in New Orleans at Tulane Law, what could I possibly have done to be ashamed of?

    Jill,
In 15 years I have only seen one body pulled from the river by my office. Apparently it was not properly weighted down.

  8. seamus,

I’ll write you in, but first you must tell me how many bodies go by each day for 1 week or just forget about my write-in.

  9. I need to start a write-in campaign for myself. You can just write “Seamus”, they’ll know who you mean. As for my views, I have a wonmderful view of the Chicago River from my office.

  10. “the ballot” link in Turley’s article leads to the page (Sullivan through Vance) with his name. I doubt that such an event occurred by chance alone.

  11. Gyges:
Thanks for the heads up,that saved a lot of time,

“I tried to have them post me picture in a speedo,”
    Not necessary,for my vote.LOL!!

  12. Helpful hint: The good prof.’s name is on page 25.

Remember folks, Vote early and vote often.

  13. whooliebacon,

Is there a talent or swim suit portion…

An Intelligent Attorney is a rare breed. I think you are barking up the wrong tree on this. However, Turley is right on up there.

I tried to have them post me picture in a speedo, but common decency and the FCC stopped it. I insist I could take Scalia in the swimsuit competition,

As well they should. Speedos should NOT be created expect in Small and Medium. Bad Visuals.

but Laurence Tribe still has the lock on the talent competition.

You are the better Judge of this.

    Jill,

Before I vote I need to know your feelings about opposite marriage.

    _____________________________
People in “Opposition” Marriage rarely have a happy home life especially with children involved. You think that is bad. No it has its silver lining for the mental health field, the legal system and hopefully the can retain extraordinary counsel to represent the respective interest.

Noe same Sex Marriages, that’s a whole different ball game so to say. I know a number of same sex couples and they make fine parents too.

I need clarification of what an opposite marriage is? lol

    1. Jill:

You are on to me. My plan is to announce my views, be stricken from the list, and then sue.

  14. Mespo,

At one time a nice Merlot would have sufficed. The Australians flooded the American Market.

  15. Vote for your favorite lawyer? Is that like voting for your favorite vice? I’ll take Dewars Signature over the whole list!
