The Senate race is already heating up in Illinois after GOP primary candidate Andy Martin (left) ran a negative ad accusing Rep. Mark Kirk (R-IL) of being gay.
Martin has achieved a degree of infamy for anti-Semitic remarks and his fostering of the rumor that Barack Obama is a Muslim.
In the ad, Martin states “I am fighting for the facts about Mark Kirk . . . Illinois Republican leader Jack Roeser says there is a ‘solid rumor that Kirk is a homosexual.’ Roeser suggests that Kirk is part of a Republican Party homosexual club. Lake County Illinois Republican leader Ray True says Kirk has surrounded himself with homosexuals. Mark Kirk should tell Republican voters the truth.”
In 1996, Martin (a former journalist) ran for a Florida State Senate seat with a campaign committee named “The Anthony R. Martin-Trigona Congressional Campaign to Exterminate Jew Power in America.” In a 1983 bankruptcy case, Martin reportedly called the judge “a crooked, slimy Jew who has a history of lying and thieving common to members of his race.”
It will be interesting to see what steps the RNC and Republican leaders take in the face of such homophobia and intolerance.

“I’ve long thought that the solution to the cheap, cost-free moralizing that leads very upstanding people like Karl Rove to want to ban same-sex marriages (which they don’t want to enter into themselves, and thus cost them nothing) is to have those same “principles” apply consistently to all marriage laws. If Karl Rove, Newt Gingrich, Rush Limbaugh and their friends and followers actually were required by law to stay married to their wives — the way that “traditional marriage” was generally supposed to work — the movement to have our secular laws conform to “traditional marriage” principles would almost certainly die a quick, quiet and well-deserved death.
UPDATE: Actually, this is Rove’s second divorce. His first wife was “Valerie Wainright, a wealthy Houston woman from the Bush social circle, but the marriage could not withstand his consuming preoccupation with politics.” They divorced after three years of marriage. So the one that was just terminated was Rove’s second “traditional marriage” to end without death doing them part. His next traditional marriage will be to his third wife.

I think Kirk would take the conservative christian vote if he could get it. He sought Palin’s endorsement but she refused. Conservative christians are not a huge factor in Illinois elections but they do play a role in the republican primaries.
Mr. Martin, a professional carpetbagger, was trawling for the “conservative Christian” vote.

Hmm, this is certainly a legitimate campaign topic for Republicans… Rep. Mark Kirk might be gay. And, as most gays are liberal, he might be a liberal as well. And as statistics show that liberals are predominantly jewish, Rep. Kirk is certainly a Jew. And as Karl Marx and Leon Trotsky were jewish, Rep. Kirk is therefore a communist… And as Rep. Kirk is a communist, and Obama is rumored to be a communist, chances are that Kirk is in cahoots with Obama. As Obama was born a Muslim communist, Rep. Kirk is hence a Muslim communist Jew out there to subvert America from the inside. And how do we prevent such nefarious development to occur? We need to “exterminate” all Jewish Muslim communists and all the activist judges bent on implementing their agenda–starting with Rep.Kirk. Wait a minute! As “this country was built on judeo-christian values,” the “judeo” foundational part has to be deracinated…
