A church in Oregon has the infamous reputation of killing children in the name of faith. Now, two parents — Jeff and Marci Beagley — have been found guilty of negligent homicide. Their case was discussed in this prior column. It is a welcomed charge (often religious parents are given lesser charges in the death of their children due to faith-healing), but the likely sentence is likely to be relatively low given the history of this church and the loss of life.
They will face only 16-18 months in the death of their sixteen-year-old Neil who died from a urinary tract blockage that could have been easily addressed by doctors. I have argued that faith-healing parents are being given special and lenient treatment over other neglectful parents, here.
The Followers of Christ church rejects conventional medicine in favor of faith-healing.

The fact that they keep going back to insulting my religion shows the almost thug like quality of their beatdown effort and the force driving it. I’m not sure what else to do here but submit to their desires to drive me out.

Again you demonstrate your intent to attack me personally, rather than deal with the topic of the thread and my position on it.
And you also demonstrate your dishonesty in doing so, as you know fully well (because you were there too) that I had been in a heated debate with him where he was attacking and slurring people of faith and their beliefs and thus has already been identified as a religious bigot.
So the couple of sentences that you are blowing out of proportion that I made in RESPONSE to yet ANOTHER incident of outright religious bigotry have nothing to do with you, this topic of anything. It is a matter for another thread thats already been written.
Try sticking to the topic of the thread for a while and watch how fast this blog becomes what it claims to be.
