The No-Press Presser: California Candidate for Governor Throws Press Out of Press Conference When They Try To Ask Questions

Meg Whitman, Republican candidate for governor in California, had a curious way of calling a press event. Whitman invited the press and was then shocked to learn that they actually wanted to ask questions. It then went from bad to worse.

This appears to be a trend started by Palin: the no-press press event. The cameras are welcomed of course, it is those pesky journalists that spoil the whole thing.

Whitman is a billionaire who served as President and Chief Executive Officer of eBay from March 1998 to March 2008. I have a feeling Whitman campaign buttons on Ebay just took a nosedive.

  1. Meg Whitmans crime policy advisor is Ed Jagels who is one of the worst and most corrupt DA’s to have ever been elected (and re-elected) – he was more interested in getting a conviction to make a name for himself than whether or not someone was guilty under the guise of being tough on crime. I would not trust anything to do with her campaign is this guy is lurking around.

  2. Easy CEJ, calm down buddy, take a deep breath and breathe, that’s it buddy. Now put down the knife and just walk away. I promise I’m not gonna hurt you.

Again you post false reports and then issue a “Correction:”?

Your ‘truthiness’ is showing; try using quotes and actual citations, this ‘post’ is a direct lift from the gossip site Celebrifi.com.

Yes, Boner forced a vote and overwhelmingly lost.

Even for those GOP math challenged, in the House a vote of 402-1 demonstrates bipartisan, this time most republicans voted to stop this rethug!

  4. Byron’s “accidental billionaire” summed it up nicely.

I would suggest that no one from the press show up at any of her events and that no coverage of any kind be afforded the candidate.

  5. how did this discussion degrade into a fish tail? isn’t anyone upset that the press can’t fish for the truth in the political process anymore? …and where’s the League of Women Voters…remember when there was some integral place holder standing between the 2 parties in the debate process?
    sheesh
