Pro-Life and Camera Shy: Obama To Sign Ban On Federal Funding of Abortion

After holding a large public ceremony for the signing of the health care bill, President Barack Obama is barring cameras when he signs the executive order needed to secure the votes for the narrow passage: a ban on federal funding of abortion.

Rep. Bart Stupak and his colleagues will attend the signing but no cameras are going to be allowed by the White House. The thirteen members are all pro-life Democrats and the White House has decided that the public should not witness the event.

By the way, Stupak was suddenly given an over $720,000 grant for airports in this district shortly before his vote, here. This has led some to question whether the pro-life order was the only condition of his support.

  1. “Yet, the promoters of video reality via fiction will not give us mock abortion, mock dead fetuses, and mock grieving women who have snuffed out the lives of their own offspring.”
you haven’t watched much tv lately, have you?

Pres. Obama is wiser than you give him credit for. Abortion is an emotionally charged political lever that has been used to divide the populace in this country. It is one division that is allowing us to be economically gutted and makes us vulnerable to those who use terror as a tool. I can’t remember the last time I saw a bill signing on TV….the abortion issue is not resolved, this is 1 small codicile to the acual bill.
    Perspective.

ps; for some reason my posts do not show up on your site…but when I repost I get a message that it is a double entry so I know you are getting something. What’s the problem?

  2. Tootie, I’m sorry to here you carry some much self-shame and self-loathing that you equate human sexuality to abortion and live in disgust of the beauty of your god’s creation. Truly a clouded and dysfunctional brain you have on your shoulders.

As for ‘leftist blah blah blah’, you’ve made lots of assertions here, as usual, but failed to produce any substance, as usual.

  3. Blind:

I’m sure you are not so evil, vicious, and cruel as to recommended that I should be raped. And I offer you a million thanks for that.

And I am also positive, that since you are a virtuous and just person filled with all manner of compassion, civility, and humanity (especially since you are pro-choice and morally superior to me) that you really would have wanted to ask me before you advocated any vicious violence to my person, if I supported abortion for rape and molestation.

Thank you for your stellar intellectual integrity and superior concern for justice.

  4. Blind:

I think that leftist Hollywood types pretend that nudity on video is required for the full pursuit of honesty about sex or whatever the point they may be trying to make.

I only challenge that belief because they won’t go “all-the-way”, so-to-speak and show the results of the human sexuality they have promoted now in virtual reality for nearly half a century.

I am merely pointing out their hypocrisy. There are even no documentaries of all the little creatures lying about in stainless steel barf pans, or close ups of little fingers, and so forth. Certainly not on the major networks!

Oh no, that would be uncouth!

I am opposed to public nudity of all kinds: paintings, film, video. But it isn’t important to me that dead or dismembered fetuses aren’t being shown in Hollywood. My point is that it should be important to the leftist who claims that nudity in regard to sexuality in movies is a form of honesty, or beauty, or truth, or whatever garbage they like to advance to debauch themselves and others.

  5. Tootie: “That “fully-vested” human already did have the right and control over the direction of her life: before the sex. She through away that right and now wants us to ignore that she is going to snuff out another human life so she can have a do-over.”

Maybe you can be lucky enough to get raped or molested one day. Then I’ll get to say ‘You had control over the direction of your life. You threw that away by getting yourself raped’.

  6. Tootie: “It’s intellectual, you know. A sign of sophistication lorded over the neanderthals called Christians.”

So, tootie, you believe that sexuality and violence on TV are means of oppression by the minority(non-christians) over the vast majority(christians)?

Its certainly an interesting idea. Insane, but interesting.

Got any evidence to back it up?

  7. Byron:

I’d make it illegal in a second.

That “fully-vested” human already did have the right and control over the direction of her life: before the sex. She through away that right and now wants us to ignore that she is going to snuff out another human life so she can have a do-over.

Give the dumb woman nine months to consider whether or not its a human life.

Then lets see what she thinks.

    After that, let her choose.

  8. Tootie:

“Things just seem to fly over your head,…”

    ***************

Given your obsession with being a Christian soldier, I would have surmised that you are most concerned with things “over your head,” which to most of your ilk is just about everything.

Please respond to my answer to your question in a previous thread that the Bible doesn’t specifically endorse men “marrying” children. Maybe it will be the next topic at your Bible study group. You can find it in that uplifting story about the courageous, spirit-filled Christian man who married his 10 year-old niece.

  9. If there is anyone repulsed by the birth canal, its the folks who promote its circumvention by abortion (caesarians noted).

Like I always say, one look at a leftist and ones first thought could easily be: thank heaven for abortion.

After having sex with a leftist, abortion one of the first things an intelligent person might want available to get rid of the evidence of that foul encounter.

    That poor little innocent creature.

  10. Tootie:

some people think abortion is necessary for them.

I am curious, would you make abortion illegal if you had the chance?

I know I don’t like it and consider it to be killing a human life but I am torn between that and the rights of a fully vested human life to have control over the direction of their life.

It is simple for me, I would not encourage anyone to do it, but then others don’t have the same morality I do and I am not into legislating morality.

    Your thoughts?

  11. mespo:

Things just seem to fly over your head, don’t they? And you don’t even duck. I guess that comes from so much experience.

  12. “One sees just about everything on TV: mock rape, mock orgies, actually full nudity, all things related to sex, sex, sex.

It’s intellectual, you know. A sign of sophistication lorded over the neanderthals called Christians.”

    ****************

As a child, I recall that most of those horrific violence was found in such irreligious movies as The Bible, Ben Hur, Crucifixion of The Christ, King of Kings, and on and on. The sex obsession too seems to have been started with the Christian crowd too who, apparently, are repulsed by the human birth canal. Rape, orgies, and all manner of sexual perversion, why a stroll through the Old Testament will titillate even the most un-titillatable. And that full nudity, why the Christian god would never have permitted that! Adam was obviously created with a fig leaf cod-piece.

  13. By Saul Alinsky – 1971

Hillary Clinton’s 1969 Political Science Thesis (“There is Only the Fight”) refers to an earlier version of Alinsky’s training manual. “In 1946,” she wrote, “Alinsky’s first book, Reveille for Radicals, was published.”

    Conspiracies- Past & Present

    Background information

“Obama learned his lesson well. I am proud to see that my father’s model for organizing is being applied successfully beyond local community organizing to affect the Democratic campaign in 2008. It is a fine tribute to Saul Alinsky as we approach his 100th birthday.” –Letter from L. DAVID ALINSKY, son of Neo-Marxist Saul Alinsky

Obama helped fund ‘Alinsky Academy’: “The Woods Fund, a nonprofit on which Obama served as paid director from 1999 to December 2002, provided startup funding and later capital to the Midwest Academy…. Obama sat on the Woods Fund board alongside William Ayers, founder of the Weather Underground domestic terrorist organization…. ‘Midwest describes itself as ‘one of the nation’s oldest and best-known schools for community organizations, citizen organizations and individuals committed to progressive social change.’… Midwest teaches Alinsky tactics of community organizing.”

  14. eniobob not sure on the VCL but we do know he taught Saul Alinsky’s rules for radicals.

  15. Pansy

One sees just about everything on TV: mock rape, mock orgies, actually full nudity, all things related to sex, sex, sex.

It’s intellectual, you know. A sign of sophistication lorded over the neanderthals called Christians.

Yet, the promoters of video reality via fiction will not give us mock abortion, mock dead fetuses, and mock grieving women who have snuffed out the lives of their own offspring.

We don’t even get to see the real images which, though in a regretful back-handed way, condones it.

This is because the leftist is not interested in the truth and “wins” through deceit, deception, guile, perfidy.

  16. “The public should not witness the event”?

why not? Who is it going to make angry? Oh yes, Obama’s far left supporters. Although it might give him some traction with the many millions of Americans that agree with this.

And Ay, I think if you want to take the risk of not having automobile insurance go ahead but be willing and able to pay through the nose.

  17. WTF? Why NOT?

So, if you don’t have auto insurance, they can seize your vehicle, even if no wreck. You have to wear a seat belt and they fine you for not wearing what should be a choice. Seems like a user tax to me on both counts.

You only have to pay if you get caught.
