A group of women in Portland staged an interesting protest — walking topless to fight the double standard applied to male and female nudity. It is the reaction of the organizer to the men who followed the protest that is notable.
As the women walked through the park, they picked up several hundred men who proceeded to take pictures and gawk. While some women posed for pictures, Ty McDowell was “enraged” at the behavior of the men. She stated that she was trying to show that the reaction should be the same for men or women walking around topless.
There seems to be a rather predictable cause and effect here.

Why do I keep trying to read that as “engorged”?
The dumb lady has a point: men, please cover up.
You’re disgusting.
Eniobob.
That was Lady Godiva. Apparently there is a lot of fact behind this legend.
The man who did not cover his eyes was “Peeping Tom”.
Wootsy,
Tell it to Pina Farina (or any other car/carriage/body designer). Unless you think the “hippy” Ferrari’s are ugly. 😀 I guarantee they sold more 328’s and P4/5’s because they had curve like a woman laying on their side than they would have with a penis hood ornament or “truck balls” as a standard option.
it wasn’t the attention that pissed her off it was the drunk guy trying to put doller bills in her pocket
“Add to this the fact that women simply have more aesthetically pleasing bodies than men.”
perhaps…
maybe…
no I don’t think so….
Ironic. Isn’t it?
Got to agree with the still Felinious Wootsy.
That’s the thought of an idiot. Or an alien.
Psssst! Hey, LAAA-dee!

Add to this the fact that women simply have more aesthetically pleasing bodies than men.
Add this to the time proven adage that “sex sells”.
Then Ty McDowell might want to try to pull her head out of the sand.
And by “sand”, I mean “her ass”.
“She stated that she was trying to show that the reaction should be the same for men or women walking around topless. ”
idiot
This brings to mind the story when the Queen of the land was going to ride through the village naked on horseback to protest how the people were being treated, and the king put out a proclamation that anyone looking at the Queen would go blind.
And one of the men in the village said he would look covering one eye.
Good morning AY, did you have a nice Easter?
” Ty McDowell was “enraged” at the behavior of the men. She stated that she was trying to show that the reaction should be the same for men or women walking around topless. ”
As a heterosexual Canadian woman who has many friends in the same category…I can atest to the fact that these men were reacting in much the same way as a group of women would have reacted had it been a group of buff guys walking shirtless through the streets. My suggestion, if one ( meaning a woman or a man )doesn’t want that type of attention keep your clothes on in public!
Wow, why was I not notified……
Er, yes, er, how dare we men act like a bunch of, er, men.
Has Ms McDowell had a severe few knocks with the “ugly stick”?
And just where are the proper pictures? The men and women in the shot that goes with the story all look pretty much the same to me.
Ah! I may have just answered my first question.
