Israeli authorities barred leading American intellectual Noam Chomsky entry into Israeli-controlled territory. Chomsky is a critic of Israeli policies and recently Israel has been denying entry to such critics, including United Nations officials, here..
The American linguist and philosopher was held for hours of questioning Sunday by Israeli officials before being forced to return to the Jordanian capital, Amman. He recounted how an Israeli official at the border told him, “Israel does not like what you say.” He responded “Find one government in the world which does.”
After international outcry, Israel is now saying that it was a mistake.

Marx was an intellectual before 100 million innocents were mowed down by his “big” ideas.
The intellectuals (Jefferson, Beethoven, Sam Taylor Coleridge, et. al.) were behind the French Revolution until the gallows were set up at every turn and innocents were wantonly tortured and slaughtered by the thousands.

Chomsky will say that right wingers are the real threat even while left-wingers (Chumpsky is a left winger) are advocating we execute CEO’s of oil companies, cheer about terrorizing the family members of bankers outside their homes, and run the despotic Department of Homeland Security.
There is no end in sight for the rise of the police-state in America and democrat leaders promote it. Yet Chumpsky has the gall to point the finger at right-wing commoners who complain about the growing tyranny? Is he nuts?
The “people” in Germany voted for Hitler (the opponents didn’t). The ones protesting Hitler were not the ones who elected him or became the Nazis. If Chumpsky’s theory about fascist dangers growing in America are true, then it would be democrat rank and file who are comparable to the people who voted Hitler in office, and the Tea Party members represent the people who did NOT vote for Hitler.
There is a reason why Obama wants to defame Fox News, read our emails, muzzle talk-radio, clamp down on the internet, spy on us, steal our medical records, tell us what to eat, tell us what to drive, tell us what to grow in our gardens, tell us what jobs we can have, tell us which college degrees will receive government loans, tell us what temperature our houses must be, and how much water we are allowed each day: he is a stark raving megalomaniac as dangerous as any other evil leader on earth. He just hasn’t been able to get away with all.
And Chumpsky is worried about old ladies carrying signs in the park?
