Paris Hilton is the subject of a fascinating lawsuit over her wearing the wrong hair. Hilton, 32, is being sued for fraud and breach of contract by Hairtech International Inc. after she wore hair extensions of another company when she was supposed to be marketing their own product.
Not only was Hilton reportedly given millions for wearing and marketing the hair extensions, the company alleges that it lost $6.6 million on the launch party when Hilton failed to show. She was serving a jail stint in 2007 and could not attend.
The company is seeking $35 million in damages.
Hilton has been previously sued for her failure to market products after accepting money. She was sued in 2008 for failing to promote the film “Pledge This!” — for which she received $1 million.
I want to go on record that the host of this blog is prepared to wear hair extensions for a fraction of the Hilton contract. Hell, for a cool million, I will do dreadlocks on the air with a skillfully product placement reference. Call me, Hairtech.

lol….too funny AY, that was exactly what popped into my mind as I read the article, followed by ” when is she going to start bevaving like she’s older than 16 ? “
I’d rather see a link between Korean business driving the demand than catering to it. From the article link it sounds like Caucasian companies are crying about being cut out of the market, not decrying the economic pressure put on women of color to maintain the look. IMO there’s all too much pressure put on women of all races/ages to measure u to unrealistic and expensive standards of beauty. its a billion dollar + industry. I haven’t seen the documentary but I’m going to look for it.
I’ve been meaning to see Good Hair since I saw Chris Rock talking about it on some chat show, but now I think I’ll put it at the top of my Netflix queue.

I watched the movie “Good Hair” a few weeks ago. Narrated by Chris Rock, it is a documentary about the explosion of popularity of hair weaves and extensions in the African American community.
You are not going to believe this, but hairdressers charge many thousands of dollars for these weaves, and they require expensive weekly/monthly upkeep. Families who have very little money to begin with are destitute/going into debt in order to keep all the females in the family in stylish hair.
It actually is having a devastating impact on the economics of the A.A. community. So, if you were wondering how a hair extension company can afford to pay Paris Hilton these kinds of bucks for adverts, you can get some idea.

Earned? I was attempting to illustrate the difference in how one chooses to earn money … there are ways to do it out side of sex tapes and jail sentences … I don’t know … things like education and ethics …
